Crosby is one of the best because of the 6 inches between his ears. He continues to improve and make changes. He does not try to be anyone else. He focuses on his strengths and works on his weaknesses. He and a true team player, and makes other players better. He just won a stanley cup as the youngest captain ever in the NHL, every hockey players dream, doesnt that say anything. And mabe he is kind of a winy baby, but you have to admit he does get harassed more then most skilled players as a #1 target to other players , because he is such a threat skill wise.

Lidstrom plays the best and most consistent defense in the history of the NHL. Pluss he makes perfect passes and has a CANNON from the point.

The 2 greatest players I have ever seen (I started following hockey in '88) are still Gretzky and Lemieux but I would now rank Crosby #3. 3 months ago, I would not have said that, I probably would have said either Brodeur, Bourque or Yzerman but now that he has had his 25 game pt streak and was so far ahead of the rest of the league before his injury, I feel comfortable saying he is the best player I've ever seen who wasn't named Wayne or Mario.
No player has ever stunned me as much as Forsberg. He was great offensively and defensively, could deliver tackles and take them. Great defensive tackler as well. The only thing not great about him was his shot I guess, but it was far from bad. I hope he comes back into the game one last time without injuries, but I doubt it.

I'm not saying anyone is the new face of the NHL, it's unfair to say that because Zetterberg and Crosby aren't the only players. There is a lot of good teams and they have good players on them. I don't even pay attention to what people say like " He's the best player " and " He will change the sport! ". I think the fact that there's so many talented players makes the sport what it is. That being said, scoring goals and getting points aren't the only ways of being a good players.

malkin is either super hot or rather flat. crosby is the best puck handler/passer/opportunist. crosby makes everyone else on his team just that much better because of how he plays. which is why in my opinion he is the best player in the NHL. he would rock on any team. im just glad he is on my favorite one XD

What happened specifically was that he hurt his knee, they numbed it up pretty well and it wasn't hurting him that much. He went out for a shift though and couldn't cut or stop properly, which is why that shift only lasted 20-30 seconds, then he was never on the ice again until the end of the game. If you think it was for show, that's fine, you can have your opinion. I'll take the word of the coaches and players though. I just find it juvenile for ppl to complain on a vid of his top goals.
I think the Hawks are bound to win a cup here in a year or two as well. I think picking up Hossa was a bad idea for them though. Toews and Kane are a big part of the future of that team, and most likely one of them will have to go when their rookie contracts are up b/c of the cap. I always liked the Hawks, I hope their owners and GM don't screw things up too badly like they did in the 90's.
