I know that Phantom elitists detest and/or disregard anything that isn't Leroux but as much as i love the original book, I love seeing new interperatations of the story, except Argento and Phantom of the Mall (shudders). I loved the Englund Phantom, and as he said "It was a homage to the hammer film" and I certainly feel that vibe from it, I prefer this to the actual Hammer film of Phantom with Herbert Lom.

‘Neonazis’ had me raising my eyebrows. When was this going to to be set - was the Phantom immortal in this story? I remember watching the original as a kid though I was probably way too young for it
