This song is so astronomically beautiful. It sounds like a battle song and a love ballad at the same time? I can't explain it. I was shocked to see how underrated you guys are.
it's quite enjoyable, I like it for the way it sounds romantic, but heartbroken then aggressive and angry, its so good
MASTERPIECE. The operatic segments, the brass... Every millisecond in this song is meticulous, a tour de force of production and songwriting.
Pulling all of this from the wiki for those who are interested, as I wasn’t able to catch this until I did some research:
“Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth”
Meaning “Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of Hosts”
Could meaning be derived from the absence of Sanctus (aside from the fact it sounds much cooler)?
In Western Christianity, the Sanctus forms part of the Ordinary and is sung (or said) as the final words of the Preface of the Eucharistic Prayer of remembrance, consecration, and praise. The preface, which alters according to the season, usually concludes with words describing the praise of the worshippers joining with the angels, who are pictured as praising God with the words of the Sanctus
Sabaoth
Tzevaot, Tsebaoth or Sabaoth (צבאות, ṣəḇāʾōṯ, [tsvaot] appears in reference to armies or armed hosts of men in Exodus and Isaiah but is not used as a divine epithet in the Torah, Joshua, or Judges. In the First Book of Samuel, David uses the name YHWH Tzavaot and immediately glosses it as "the God of the armies of Israel".
The Hebrew word Sabaoth was also absorbed in Ancient Greek (σαβαωθ, sabaōth) and Latin (Sabaoth, with no declension). Tertullian and other patristics used it with the meaning of "Army of angels of God".
