    I know many say they are the future, but I can honestly tell you, they are just going back and playing music that we lost long ago. They have found the past and brought it into the future. So glad for that. I’ve missed it.

    Johnas piano rifs are insane. They go from melodic to crazy but always end up in the song. The voice, wild drums and filthy bas somehow always come together.

  • @brianmi40
    @brianmi40 Před 3 lety +7

    This song also has a bit of SEAL feel besides those vocal inspirations you mentioned... Jonah is next level (along with Henrik and Aron) by being able to also be a virtuoso keyboard player to go with such a sick voice that Quincy called one of the best ranges he's ever heard, as he SIGNED THEM!

    I know Jonah is in to both MJ and Stewie W. He is also a classical trained piano-player,and I think he is in to jazz. and do you know that Quincy has signed the to his recordlabel! Theese guys are fantastic!

  • @turbotunna3794
    @turbotunna3794 Před 3 lety +2

    I'm thinking Jonah's definitely got some Michael Jackson influence going on... He uses "feed my desire" in this song while MJ used "Quench my desire" in "Give into me".
    And I'm not sure if you caught it or not but the intro to "World on Fire" (the keyboard bassline) is a musical quote from the intro of "Dirty Diana" by MJ as well.
    These guys are freakin' cooking man! Great reaction btw, thanks.

  • @terryjames7018
    @terryjames7018 Před 3 lety +3

    Michael Jackson is the influence. Check Jonah doing 'Coffee Break' with horns and Richard Bona tearing up the bass.
    He even makes a reference in the lyrics to a Michael Jackson tune.
    You'll pick it up.

    If you get the chance in the future you have to let everything aside and see them live.
    As one alredy has said their influences are quite different and that makes them "Dirty".
    I feel also that I need to practice, but then again I need to be locked up for several years to get to half of that so..... 💯

    "Jonah" (with his real name Jonas being to hard for general Americans to "get") have many tunes with clear styles interjections and recurring theme ousing the stye of Pat Metheny/Lyle Mays.. ..the synth section in this melody with "soft brass" section was a typical such ..an other song Dirty Loops made features an overall über heavy Metheny/Mays leaning style in their rendering of the Alphaville cover "Forever Young".. ..though nothing new for "music nerds" to be heavily into textural complex chords/progressions as Metheny/Mays (and Jonas-"Jonah")..
