I knew this guy once, you know back in the old days, back when we still got our water from a well out back that my father dug with his own hands after the first well that my grandfather dug fifty years ago dried up. You know the kids these days wouldn't know how to dig a well, playing all those video games on those, what do ya call them, phones? We had real phones back then, something we used to call the doctor to come over when we had a really bad cough, something like that corona virus, I heard John died of corona virus... What was I talking about again?

In Australia, they are selling like it's the apocalypse and doomsday preppers are stocking up on packets and packets. Supermarkets have none on the shelves, they sold every single packet (of multiple rolls) of toilet paper in less than 10 minutes, so they have put restrictions on how many a person can buy.......which is four packets. Hand sanitisers, too! Still have lots of packets of rubber gloves, though!

He one time even made an official looking windows 10 window and typed in a message similar to 'do you think god would appreciate what you're doing right now' and the woman who saw it absolutely shit herself and got her boss involved. lol It was absolutely hilarious to watch.

CVS worker here. The gift card rack on my store somehow manages to shake gift cards loose like leaves on a tree anytime you touch the damn thing, real hard to judge what the right amount of cards that will stay on is. So you should try seeing how they react if you pretend to drop the cards all over the place or have cards fall anytime you try to pick them up. And of course, yell louder and louder about it and make them listen while you complain to a manager. Bonus points if they explain the scam in detail but your character refuses to believe them because the customer service is horrible.
Also, you could try playing a young punk who believes the scam but is trying to get out of it without paying. Things like stealing gift cards and then you can give them the card numbers and they can't work. That and trying to convince them they should let you have extra refund money or whatever, all while believing them completely.
Does your store have a warning notice about the scams on the gift card display? Walmart has one on their gift card rack.

I've been trying to understand how anyone could have a hard time getting it, the issue must be the other persons reading comprehension. Sometimes I feel like people want to act smart by complaining about others writing, but if they were smart for real, they should be able to figure it out even if there's grammatical errors and spelling errors. Not saying this was what happened here, this person was fairly respectful, but it made me think about it.

Being an indian,, i feel bad how these scammers from my country are looting others hard earned money. As the victims are overseas, its quite difficult for local police to trace back these ppl, Majority of local indian people are very hesitant to share there account details to anyone hence they don’t try us.Kudos to Kitboga for his work! And a request to all my european and american friends to not think bad of us as a Nation. We hate these guys just like you!
it's not difficult for the police to track down these people, they probably already know. but, the thing is they have no incentive to do so, as the victim is in another country. and might not be able to represent his/her case very well, so after doing all the work, these criminals would run away.
in addition to that, this business although illegal contributes to the state government's economy by bringing in foreign currency. you know about the "jaamtara" and how it became the largest hub of scamming in india.
but, even then the state is somewhat concerned about it's overall reputation. currently, they had raided and shutdown a scam call centre in delhi, just 8 hrs after BBC had published a video which featured jim browning, a scam baiter who hacked into the cctv and published all footage to the internet.
but, i very much doubt that all this could have been happened if it had not received the international coverage. because, it's unlikely that the local government is going to do anything by themselves.

And I know they definitely are not. I have had several wonderful Indian friends who were kind, hardworking people. I understand how Karan feels. A lot of the reason this started is because we outsourced our work to india and other countries instead of keeping it within our country. Now they have our info and its turned from call centers to scams...
