  • Small ride and presentation of my Suzuki GN 250 "Scrambler" project! Rides smooth, engine runs perfectly, exhaust sounds great (much better than the original), super comfortable seat and riding position. Feels light and nimble. For the twisties, there's nothing better! Music by Frankie Chavez, check it out!

    I just bought a slightly modifed GN 250 '91 for 870 euros today
    I've already been riding it for 80 kilometers and it runs like a charm.
    My plan is to make a café racer out of it.

    Hey, how did you get the swing arm to clear the frame with the lifted rear shocks? Did you cut the exhaust bracing away?

    • @tiagomaldonadosantos
      @tiagomaldonadosantos  Před 3 lety

      Hey, no changes to the frame. I swapped directly with the new 350mm shocks. For the exhaust, only changed the muffler (not the collectors). Cheers!

      Thanks! Go for one of the 250's! I bought the bike for 600€, and I spent around 400-500€ on it! It was a budget build, I guess overall I must have spent around 1100€ to 1200€. Cheers!

      thanks for aswering brother! how many kilometers is it good for a bike like 250 to have on it? all the bike i found they have around 40000 -45000

    • @tiagomaldonadosantos
      @tiagomaldonadosantos  Před 7 lety +3

      +Chris Din Mine was from 1994, when I got it it had around 35.000km, and I had no problems with it. Change spark plug, oil and filters and it runs good as new. Give the carbs a good clean as well! These old engines were built to last! It depends also on how it was treated on the previous years! If it was taken care of, and not too beaten up, it should run almost as new

      Tiago Santos Hum, achei que dava bem mais :\ tenho uma WR125X e dou isso também. Queria vendê-la para comprar uma tipo esta e transformar em scrambler, mas talvez vá para uma 400/500 já que 250 não é grande salto... Mas obrigado pela informação :D Bom vídeo, boa qualidade mesmo!
