I like equating a good MH track to gears: Their best songs all start and coast in 1st and 2nd....but then they unleash the boys on guitar and shift up to 3rd....thenn 4th...and 5th...and fucking nitro boosts.
I know that their long time fans (some of them) don't consider this version of the band "real" Molly Hatchet, and indeed they are not the original members... But still this song is an awesome epic piece, regardless of who played it. I think nobody can deny this! For me, maybe because I discovered Molly Hatchet when they were already with this line up, this song and others like The Journey, Rainbow Bridge, One Last Ride, Devil's Canyon are masterpieces as good as more older songs. I'm a Hatchet fan from way back but 'Devil's Canyon' and 'Silent Reign of Heroes' in particular are as good as anything the original line-ups put out. If older Hatchet fans want to dismiss the Ingram led version of the band for whatever reason - they're missing out on a whole bunch of great music.
