    Chelsea does have their own piece of history, but during ken bates era it has always been outshine by the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man United. Chels was known for just "rich club with no history" cause Roman bought it during the time where informations start to spread like wild fire, and they are one of the first club bought by a billionaire and spend a ridiculous amount of money in just one transfer season. so i always disagree with the notion chels aint got no history, they did, just not powerful enough. plus them haters probably are jealous they dont have an owner who loves his/her club like Roman does with Chelsea.

    Ok, Abramovich has taken Chelsea to another Level, but people seem to forget what Bates brought to the table. Say what you like about the guy and yes, he made mistakes and Chelsea were 17 minutes away from going under, when Abramovich came into the equation, but Bates put Chelsea back on the map and did some excellent work in the process and managed to get some trophies along the way. When Bates purchased Chelsea for a quid and all it entailed, Chelsea's net worth was £-1.6m and that was a lot of money then and going by 2022 prices, in 1982, is the equivalent of over £22m. . When he sold Chelsea in 2003, it went for £140m, that is some turn around. Now of course the net worth is 1.9b...to most of us, that is telephone numbers :0) Chelsea have come a long way since those 17 minutes were counting down and they will only get bigger under Abramovich, who has done an amazing job, who unlike some Owners of Football Clubs I can think of, really cares about CFC and their Fans and wants to see them win trophies and puts his money, where his mouth is, so kudos to him.

    • @larryfitterman
      @larryfitterman Před 2 lety +1

      To real Chelsea fans Bates is and always will be a godsend to us, we wont forget how hard he fought to keep stamford bridge under our control. He couldve sold the ground for a quick fix to the debt, instead he helped form a union with the fans where we could own the pitch. Without Bates (and Gronkjaer) there is no Abramovich.

      @@larryfitterman Well put....Some (that do not know the ins and outs) say that he did not care about CFC, or the Fans, but nothing could be further from the truth. In the end he left them in good stead and did the right thing not only for CFC, but for Chelsea Fans. He should be remembered and thanked, not slagged off. Twice Chelsea were threatened with their very existence and twice Bates saved them...How is that a bad thing.

    You left out the most important piece of information. Pini Zahavi was the one engineered the takeover of Chelsea by abramovich, after Daniel levy only allowed one third of Spurs to be sold, in which roman wanted 100% full control. And Chelsea finished 4th in season 02/03 to qualify for the next season champions league, by beating Liverpool at the final match day. That were the most decisive factors for the takeover.

    Big things happening at Chelsea over the Summer. Planes will come in and be handling things at CFC, as Football Director, but Marina Granovskaia will have the final say, which from what I understand is not pleasing Planes and they will be co-operating between the Countries and Clubs and he was given a "take it, or leave" option and he took it...surprise, surprise lol. There is is a lot of talent in South America, cheap talent at that, with lots of potential, not only in Players signed, but from a selling on value and it is looking like it is the way forward for the future and I am sure other Clubs will be doing the same kind of set-up, but that is the way CFC will be going. It is also a way to get them into England from the prospect of Work Permits etc. or even Citizenship and would save a lot of complications and time in the future and could actually work both ways. I can also tell you that CFC is working very wisely, cleverly and closely with Atletico Madrid, Ajax and Bayern on Youth, 4 Clubs that have among the best Youth Systems in the World and there is going to be a lot of "swapping" going on. Youth that doesn't suite Chelsea, could do well for one of those 3 Clubs and visa-versa, so they will be moving Clubs, if they are willing. They have had several meetings with the Youth set-ups of CFC and those Clubs and it seems they are all willing to go along with it and why not, better to move to another Club that wants you and is interested in your development, than to have no Club at all. As for the the new Loan Rules, it is going to restrict CFC and other Clubs who rely on the Loan System. Personally, i think it is absolutely insane to restrict it. it is a great way for Youth, who would normally not get a look in, to shine at other Clubs, gain experience and if it does not work out with the Parent Club, then maybe they could move to the Club they have been loaned out to, as they would have been noticed and assessed. It is what Chelsea have been doing since Abramovich came into power, it has given Clubs Players they would maybe not normally notice and it has netted Chelsea over £400m in revenue, so that can only be a good thing all round. Also it gives the lower League Clubs a chance to add to their Playing Squad, sometimes for free, where as they normally could not add, because they could not afford it and I can think of several Players, that are now loaned out to several Clubs in Leagues 1 and 2 that have strengthened their Squads and have given them a chance for Promotion, or to avoid Relegation and they have come from Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Utd, Spurs, Fulham have a lot out too and other top Clubs from around Europe, but with the new ruling, there will be far less of that happening, so it makes no sense to me at all to curtail the loan system. The Powers that Be, "think" they are making the game better and that it is giving everyone an equal chance and leveeing the playing field, but it is doing anything but and if you talk to the Youth from those Clubs, that are out on loan, they hate it, because it will be stifling their chances of making it. it is also taking away Youth Players from playing for those League 1 and 2 Clubs, because all that will happen is, Clubs like Chelsea, Man City, etc. will just send them abroad for the game time and experience, so solves nothing and just makes League 1 and 2 Clubs in England weaker. Chelsea will also be selling, or moving on, 12 Players. Into the 1st Team will come some Youth, just as James, Mount and Co did. Players that are out on loan will also be drafted into the 1st team and some new blood will come in also. Kounde being one and there will be a complete overhaul at Chelsea. Too much unrest, too much arguing, too many Players wanting to rule the Roost and this time Abramovich is backing the Manager, not the Players. Interesting times at Chelsea indeed :0)

    We had a good chance competing for the league at the beginning of the season but it all went downhill after the loss against Man City. It all turned to sludge after that. Other than the Club World Cup, we're lucky to win any trophy at all this season

    • @Legnid
      @Legnid Před 2 lety

      It went downhill cause chelsea overestimated their bench they thought they had proper replacements
      Injuries to first team players like James, chilwell, kante, mount
      Out of form lukaku, Werner, havertz, ziyech
      Plus the drama of contract renewals
      Next season when everyone gets back to full fitness n contract drama is over chelsea might be back in title race

    rising from downfall over the period of two years is reasonable
    btw informative video otherwise and loved the editing
