It's only a wedding, that is the best advice I was given. And to chill. You're day to day life is what matters. You're wedding will be wonderful regardless of all the prep. It goes so fast too so just enjoy it all and try not to get too stressed.
I can testify to this. I planned so much and spent so much but my day went to shit. It was still the best day of my life though, just me and my husband, and I got so drunk. It was amazing, regardless of my stress. Please remember it's for you! Enjoy it as much as you can, the day passes in a blip 💖

I can’t imagine in my wildest dreams being frustrated because a creator on CZcams took a long time to move houses. If anything, it should be affirming and comforting that life happens to all of us. Congrats on the new home! So looking forward to seeing it! I’m so glad Lumi is going to be ok!
I planned my wedding in 6 months, because I wanted to get married, not fuss over a wedding. It was tense, but at the end of the day you have to prioritize. Recognize that the most important thing is you and your soon-to-be husband, and your day together. Try to delegate, your bridesmaids and family can handle some of the things, like maybe gluing that box is something someone else can handle if it's the straw that's breaking the camel's back (or the sloth's, in this case, haha!) As for moving...it's hard. My husband and I have been looking for a house for almost a year, made some offers, lost one house that we should have gotten because of a silly fluke. Buying a house is WAY harder than people think it is, and 'longer than you'd hoped' is probably more normal than you feel like it is. You're doing great, keep your stress levels in mind and delegate when you can, sometimes there are things that in a perfect world you would get to...but as you said, life isn't perfect, so if there's things you can let go...do it. You can do it, lady! Take care of yourself :)

I didn't really realize that I had been mentally abused by this man for so long, and it's truly been a healing process the last few months. When I'd find myself getting upset or feeling like I just wanted to curl up and die, I'd watch your new vido, and all would be ok again. You and Ali have such a healthy, happy relationship. I’m so glad Lumi is going to be ok. My cat was an indoor and outdoor cat and would roam the neighborhood and he got into several fights with raccoons. At first it seems really bad but usually they heal perfectly fine. I am currently going to university as a pre vet major so I love animals.

I’m really happy that Lumi is okay❤️ My fur baby may as well be my first born child so I can only imagine what you were feeling.
I need to share something..In June my furry baby fell off the window,5th floor into an inside patio..i realized immediately and i died, i mean I can’t even explained how it felt when i was running,knocking on neighbors doors crying (like a crazy woman exactly) and trying to get into the patio..i thought I’d find him dead..the worst experience i can remember.. he broke his pretty little face,had stitches inside and outside his mouth,but he survived and he’s all fine now. I still cry when i even think of it and everyday i am so grateful that I hadn’t lost him.. I know it may be not a proper thing to share here, but every time i hear a story like that of another cat it’s like a sting into the heart. I’m really glad Lumi is safe and sound, she’s adorable and i love seeing her in your videos! Wish you all the best in your challenges and I’m sure it’ll all turn out perfectly xx
I’m so sorry about Lumi and what you both must’ve gone through. I literally had anxiety listening to the events that took place. I’m so relieved that she is recovering well. I brought my Persian cat for a Lion cut back in August and noticed she started walking funny. I immediately thought she had been hurt during the grooming process and rushed her to the Vet Emergency room so scared. $500 later after a thorough exam (luckily no X-rays) it was determined that she felt awkward and vulnerable without her enormous coat of hair, and just sort of adapted this sort of Gansta Lean walk. Once again so relieved Lumi is well! Sending you tons of Good Vibes and Well Wishes from NYC❤️
Lydia - that coat is the best thing EVER! Almost looks like a shift dress, which I really like! Now, re the 'moving house', surely you can't 'move' house until you've 'bought' a house! LOL. Don't do it until after the wedding - you're obviously pushed to the limit right now, you will not regret pressing pause until the new year. :) Finally, I'm sure you hear this kind of thing all the time - I organised my wedding single handedly as a solo mum, and got married 3 days after I completed the final exam of my University degree. I even had to fire a bridesmaid because she was being a drama queen and I didn't need the drama, my father was in hospital until 2 weeks before the wedding, and now that I think of it I remember that my dog was run over by a family member!! LOL. (He was ok after a major op ;)) Anyway, the point is do whatever you need to to relax and enjoy the process. It seriously doesn't have to be stressful - eat ALL of the cake!! Take care... xx

I completely understand where you're at in life right now and how it feels. I got married last New Year's Eve (so we'll have almost the same anniversary!) in the midst of house renovations, my husband being away for work all the time (so I was in charge of the entire wedding planning, renovations and everyday home stuff), commuting to a job an hour away that brought me no joy, etc etc. It feels like too much because it is! That doesn't mean you're not "strong" enough to handle it, it means there's too much to take care of and to think about when you're a perfectionist like we are and you're worried the end result won't be to your normal standards. It will get easier once the wedding is over. Carrie is such a wonderful friend, I'm sure she would help you with whatever she could to help ease the stress. I'm so relieved Lumi is okay, as a cat mom of two, the story of what happened broke my heart because I could feel how terrifying that was for you.

I just got married a few weeks ago and felt the same way as you! Constantly thinking "what am I forgetting??" and having bad wedding dreams, but it ended up all working out - and I'm sure it'll be the same for you! You get to that day and all the little things you thought mattered just don't matter anymore and all you can think about is how excited you are to get married! Dear Lydia! I hope Lumi gets better, she is a really sweet cat. When I was a kid, my turtle had very serious lack of vitamin A and she was almost blind for weeks. I remember everyday after school I sat and watched wishing the medicine will cure her. Finally she got back to normal. But when I heard what happened to Lumi, my eyes were watering. I hope everything will be fine again with her. And I also wish you huge positive energies to all this things!
I feel you, we moved house in September and got married in October, both of us working full time. As wonderful as these things are - it was SO exhausting. I remember sitting in my room crying about some minor problem (I think it was some decor stuff for the wedding not working out) that pushed me over the edge. Well, in the end it all worked out and trust me, the only thing that matters on the wedding day is you two, the guests, food/music and that's it! Photos are also important as you get to keep them, whereas everything else (besides the rings) is pretty much gone the next morning. Everything else (decor, what anyone including you two is wearing, location) doesn't really matter in the end. So, get in as many spa days as you can to relax before your wedding. I booked a minimoon after the wedding, try not to make the same mistake - it was just too much, I should have stayed at home to recover from the stress. I've been sick since then because my immune system is just so weakened from the stress. Please take good care of yourself! And all the best to poor Lumi. Cats really are tough. xoxo
Oh Lydia, your story about Lumi really brought tears to my eyes having just lost our little bulldog. The pain is so intense, we are so heart broken & I get exactly what you went through. Thank you for being so honest and open about things not being perfect in life. So many bloggers and Instagrammers want you to believe that their lives are perfect 24/7 and that people should all be living that way or something is wrong with them! I'm 37 and have spent my years since college trying to iron out my career and life and not worried about finding a boyfriend or husband. I would like a guy to share life with, but I'm still struggling to just stay afloat with student loan bills so I guess it hasn't been a priority, but to see these perfect people and their perfect lives all the time makes me feel like a real failure instead of the survivor or the successful person I feel I am inside. It's refreshing for people to be like, "yeah, this is hard and it's not going well". There is no time line or checklist to life.

My cat Pineapple acts very similar to Lumi, but not a Bengal. I feel exactly like you when we go away, we took him to Isle of Wight to stay with my partners parents whilst we were visiting and he hated it completely, hid for 3 days. It is very important to give a cat some private and quiet space when they're in a new environment with different smells and people, if you were to travel with Lumi again, she should be in one room until she's settled and comfortable, although not ideal as depending on the length of your stay but opening up an entire new house, smells or people for her might be overwhelming, like you experienced recently. Also for when you move home too, it took Pineapple about a week to stop hiding as we went from an flat to a house and about 6/7 months to feel comfortable. People recommend the Feliway plug in for help calm cats who're stressed or in a new environment so might help, although I'm not sure it helped Pineapple at all! Hope Lumi gets well soon! x x

We just got married 2 weeks ago, and we are also in the middle of finding a new home. I felt totally the same before the wedding with all sorts of last minute details to get done and things going wrong. And the last few weeks up to our wedding were incredibly stressful. But the day felt absolutely amazing and even when little things went wrong I was too happy to let it even bother me. It’ll all be worth it! Hope your sweet fur baby feels better!
I'm so happy Lumi is ok!! I was so worried at the beginning of the video something happened to her. You did a great job understanding how she was feeling when she first arrived to the cottage. If you ever bring her with you on another vacation, try putting her into a safe room, first (like a bathroom or bedroom) so she can feel safe and get used to the new surroundings. Even the most socialized cat will be spooked when they arrive into a new place!

Oh my god I am so sorry to hear about dear Lumi's injury. People who don't have a pet really don't understand how it feels when something happens to one's furbaby. It's especially bad because the animal can't just tell you what's wrong, if they're hurting, etc. My rabbit once injured her foot and it was emotionally torturous for me. Wishing her the speediest recovery and I hope you feel better soon too
I just wanna reach through the screen and give you and Lumi and big squishy cuddle!! Life has it's ups and downs but everything happens for a reason. With what happened with Lumi, something similar happened to my cat when she was alive, we thought the vet was crazy when he said "Put some savlon cream on her skin twice a day" we did it, and her fur grew back perfectly.
All the wedding stress will be worth it in the end, the only thing that matters is you & Ali. Having to deal with a bride who had countless melt downs about her wedding, take comfort that the second you walk down the aisle all the stress will just go.

We did the huge wedding for 200 and bought a new house at the same time so I understand how you're feeling. Don't stress too much about the wedding, as long as you've got a dress, your hair and make up is organised and the venue sorted you and Ally will have a magical day. I lost my mama (unexpectedly) right after my husband and I got engaged. The plan had been for my Mama to walk me down the aisle since she was a single mom and raised my siblings and me by herself. With her gone, I had no desire for a wedding. I wanted to elope, but with my husband being an only child I couldn’t take that away from his family, so we settled on a very intimate ceremony. I got married in August, Lydia no matter how much you plan and organised, sometimes things that you wouldn't even contemplate go wrong. My best advice is enjoy every moment and let the small things pass you by. Most people only get married once so make it the most magical day
