Keir Starmer addresses whether criticism of Joe Biden is 'fair' | LBC speaks to the PM

  • With Keir Starmer currently attending the Nato summit in Washington, LBC's Political Editor, Natasha Clark, spoke to the PM about Joe Biden, dangerous prisons and more.
US President Biden has come under fire for his lacklustre performance in a recent presidential debate against Donald Trump and many have urged him to step down.
However, Starmer stresses that Biden was on 'good form' during their discussion and the pair covered a 'whole range of issues'.
“I saw him last night for what was going to be 45 minutes for a bilateral, it ended up being the best part of an hour.
“We went through a whole range of issues, strategic issues, global issues, we did them at pace because we needed to cover a lot of ground. He was on good form. And it was a real opportunity for us to talk through those issues, reaffirm the special relationship between our two countries."

I am not from the UK but the water situation is criminal. They should nationalize the water companies. It make no sense to have a 'free market' for water. It is a natural monopoly, are you going to have 5 different companies makes pipes so consumers can choice one? It was a mistake and makes absolutely zero sense. Just ramp up the regulation requirements and these companies will go bust so the state can get them on the cheap.

The water bill is part of our council tax bill (which band for band is still cheaper than England and Wales water included). England and Wales are putting up council tax rates and water bills, neither of which will happen in Scotland. And they don't pollute the waterways here.
