Wow, I don't know how long it has been since I've seen anyone drive column shift! I learned to drive in my dad's '55 Chevy Bel Air with straight 6 and column shift, and graduated from high school when that truck was brand new. I always love watching your videos because you know what you are doing and do it right the first time. Whenever I do anything it is by trial and error...more often error than just trial. Thanks a lot for sharing your fine work with us.
Man, it never ceases to amaze me how much you get accomplished in a day...and you don’t just get it done, you get it done at the highest level. Gonna be another awesome ride when you’re done!
That rebuilt carb looks beautiful. Good luck. For some reason, I kept expecting to see a fuel pump in the gas tank. My neighbor had to replace the sheet metal in the floor of the old truck that he restored. His wife use to call it the Fred Flintstonemobile because it had huge holes in the floorboard.
Love the job you do on these old chevys! Thanks for the videos, can't wait for the next one. Hope to see you put the clutch in the apache. Keep saving those chevys!
By the way, I needed to hear some good picking.... so I went back in your videos to Nov. 2009 and listened to you pick "Wildwood Flower" on guitar. You and that "1979 Gibson Dove" make some FINE music. It got my day off on the right foot!!! Thanks Brother, w.w.
I love your truck brother I have a 1979 Chevrolet pick up it needs some love its gonna get it in time I hope to make her like she was brand new ..... I love trucks from 1950 s & 1960s &1970s some 1980s
When I had old 50s trucks and ofcourse they had vacuum wipers I would put an extra vacuum tank on them yeah sure little trouble when first start but give her few extra minutes then she would be fine even work at stops ect try it see what you think work good for me
Awesome mate! Leave it how she is like the blue, yes new bed... paint them ol steelies up black and get the chrome 58 59 60 hubcaps of truckandcarshop.com will look so mint. Going well as always 👌
These were always dangerous with the tank behind the seat. My 49 Dodge step side Had the tank mounted under the cab inside the frame rail mounted with brackets much safer. And that old strait 6 flathead was a charm
I like that old factory GM teal green color, she's a cool old truck Gib your brother will enjoy her. She's coming along nicely Gib great work on a great old Chevy. Next summer (if I haven't sold my 63 C10 short box) I'm going to have to get up the muster (it sure sucks getting old and not have a garage to work in any more) and do the clutch/flywheel/Prs Plt/ThrBr/ not sure if any of it's ever been changed but it's definitely time Gib, I get lot's of chatter when she gets hot and slips like crazy it could be just old and oil soaked but it needs changed. Is that a NAPA Clutch Kit or ? Is it a 10" or 10 1/2" kit with that inline 6? What is nice about changing them out is there very simple for sure and I've adjusted mine out just about as far as she will go and I know it's not always the best way of doing things but it makes that old clutch last alittle longer. Thanks again for sharing with us all my friend. You and your Pops Keep On Trucking Brother👍
@@Gibson63.: okay thank you, I just received a parts magazine from them a week ago. In your opinion are there parts good quality part's ? Thank You for your help it's much appreciated Gib. Keep On Trucking Brother 👍...
Got a questions I have not see many with the Spare Tire on the fender. Was there a different ID for that model ?? Like there is a Fleetside, step side ?
Gibson63 I got a digital dash for my 66. It should be ok with sending unit. My trucks cab is in baddddd shape. 30 years on a farm, years since it had moved, I think it’s a mistake sometimes. I have no money to get stuff for it
This the fastest man I've ever seen, his hands are unbelievably fast. I wonder how he does that? Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi believed killed. Just imagine that, it's a great day, today. It has been confirmed that Baghdadi is DEAD!
your name is gibson im not a gibson but my mothers maiden name was gibson does the name junior gibson sound familar to you he was killed in the 70's in a train accident so never knew the guy (before my time) also dont know any the gibson family outside of juniors kids
Really appreciate the fact you do more working than talking.

This guy is jack of all trades! Great job.👍👍
Getting ready to replace my gas tank on my 59; this is very helpful. Your video is very appreciated, thank you!
Good on ya, it's a rush to get them on the road!!! It's fun watching a Master at work!!! Thanks, w.w
The 58 and 59 had such a tough look to em, hope I can own another one before my time is up
super cool, you inspire me to keep working on my old chevy.
It has a soul which none of these new plastic / electronic trucks will ever have.
Another great video. Thanks man. We appreciate ya. Look forward to the next one.
Nice project, good to see that old Chevy up and going,
Done all this to my 56 back in1997, always liked the original seat tanks, but I'm in love with danger.
One of my favorite channels bud ! Awesome content

You do great work. Regards from the UK.
Love the old straight six with three on the tree!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like that you keep it stock. I need more legroom in mine. 6’5”. Thinking of modifying the firewall and relocating the tank.
I forgot what one of those sounded like. Thanks for the memory.
Thanks for bringing back memories!
Man I would love to find one of those. Great job thank you for sharing.
One day, I will take the first ride in my 63 gmc. Good job Steve.
Your video are helpful thanks
beautiful truck great find
Very nice work
Love your videos buddy there. Such a great help!
From back in the day when a truck was a truck, affordable and made for farmers and workmen to haul stuff around in.
Good ride around Gibson. That new clutch will make a big difference. Good video.
The old 235 sounds pretty good Gib!! That is one of wish Chevrolet would have stuck with was the hydraulic clutch system that they used from 60 to 62.
All that work in one day man you're a g!
Can’t wait get my 58 Apache on the road, these trucks are classics
She looks great, sounds good to. Those old inline 6's worked well.
Badass, damn near the same setup I have in my rig. All in good condition too
That there is a truck... nice work🤠👍🔨
Wow. It just doesn't get much better than that. Nice work on your end.
Great vid. One more back on the road.

Excellent.
You should sell some t shirts with one of your c10 builds and the catch phrase “ here we go” I’ve learned a ton from you! Thank you !
Runs like a champ, done good for a first ride.
I’ll have the clutch in by this week should do a lot better we’ll see
Good job..
Solid old truck

Gonna make you a nice old truck!
awesome
Ther is something right about an old pickup with a straight six and 3 on the tree. Vacuum wipers aren't bad unless you want to see going uphill.
nice job man
When I was a young boy my dad had a 63 Chevy it had a 327 with a 4 speed one bad pickup
You da best, Gibson...…..

I have wanted to ask you what epoxy Primer do you use and recommend on your builds?
Question, which direction do you turn the key in to fire her up in the on position?

Got a questions I have not see many with the Spare Tire on the fender. Was there a different ID for that model ?? Like there is a Fleetside, step side ?
Don’t know to much on these 59 Apaches but I haven’t seen many myself with the spare tire on the fender
You’ve gotten farther in 3 videos than I have in 6 years on mine lol
Me too man, it’s been 4 years and I haven’t done anything to my 59
Looks like a good old truck still has a hot water 6.
My dad 1959 Apache small back Window short bed 32 Model 350 engine
Automatic gear or manual ? (I mean this car)
the bed might need a little freshening up but other than that she's ready for Saturday night !
Inspiring channel.. Any new videos coming soon? I hope so!
Yes I’ll have some videos up soon
@@Gibson63. glad to hear! Love these old trucks. Have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Where did you buy your parts?
Leave this truck patina to show you can make a patina look good
I where you can get a 1959 Chevy Apache Fleetside....
I’ve read on forums that the new gas sending units have different OHM than the gauge is set for. ???
I think your right on that, the blue 63 and this 59 have new sending units and neither are working correctly
Gibson63 I got a digital dash for my 66. It should be ok with sending unit.
My trucks cab is in baddddd shape. 30 years on a farm, years since it had moved, I think it’s a mistake sometimes. I have no money to get stuff for it
I got the digital dash last tax refund

What size is your garage you're working out of?
16x20 garage
Does that work for you? Or do you wish to have your garage a little bigger?
Paul Spangler couldn’t go to much bigger on this lot, I’ve should have went 24ft I would have had more room to walk around from and back

@@Gibson63. oh ok then sorry for any inconvienence
Is the truck for sale...?
No it’s not for sale
