You know, I think Simon Pegg and Nick Frost would have been perfect as Roddie and Sid. I can totally imagine them being voiced by these two actors.

DreamWorks gave us two great underrated films in the same year, Over the Hedge and Flushed Away!
I remember watching this so many times as a kid it was so good 😂 the big rat saying I believe he said his name is Millicent 🤣 always made me laugh & the Roach saying a new stove might be nice lmao 😂

I don't know if I've ever actually seen this entire film but that great "my fly's undone" bit has been burned into my brain for a decade or more.
I've always loved that iconic flip phone scene with Marcel and The Toad.🤣
This movie’s cgi is not horrible because it’s not cgi, it’s actually stopmotion which I think takes longer to make than cgi
No it actually isn't. This one is actually CGI but the characters look like the ones that Aardman uses in stop motion. This is one of only 2 films from Aardman that uses CGI. The other being Arthur Christmas
Yup, her saying Flushed Away's CGI is horrible is the fastest way to evaporate any chance of a sub or like from me. And yes, it is CGI, but it was made to look like claymation.

The two henchmen first of which Spike voiced by Andy Serkis, who's best known as Gollum in Lord of The Rings.
Lastly is Bill Nighy who plays Whitey. Best known as Davey Jones from Pirate's of the Caribbean.

This film is a total Britishism I like it
Flushed Away... a classic in it's own way. Funny how most people set this one as average, myself included.
Honestly, I like those... the kind that can gest some good laughts from anyone you present it to, without putting too much hype, but with a guarantee that it won't be disappointing.
The reason for the film's animation looking so weird is that it was made by Aardman Animation, a studio best known for making stop-motion films with plasticine (like Chicken Run and Wallace & Gromit). This was supposed to be made the same way, but they decided to do it as CGI because the water was hard to animate in that format, while still having the characters retain the same style of animation they were used to doing. And the combination of them trying to recreate their distinctive visual style in this format, alongside it being the first time they'd done a fully CG animated film, is why the animation looks a little...uncanny. To be honest I do think this is one of Aardman's weaker entries, but the script is suitably fun and witty, the voice acting is just top-notch (especially Ian McKellen as the Toad, and Andy Serkis and Bill Nighy as his bumbling henchmen), and the animation is honestly pretty solid, at least when it comes to the water and the background locations
The humor in this movie is underrated
I saw this movie on opening day on the first showing at the mall movie theater i used to go to as a kid!
The yellow suit he nearly put on at the beginning is a Wolverine costume, the character Hugh Jackman plays in Marvel’s X-Men films.
The Slugs of Flushed Away to me feel like the precursor of the Minions for Despicable Me except not as annoying. 😂

What a throwback this was
While far from perfect, I used to watch this film so much as a kid
I sometimes quote Spike and Whitey because I found them the funniest
They're easily the best part of the film and Andy Serkis and Bill Nighy did great voicing them
Cool, i can understand this movie can be a little weird, but I managed to enjoy it like I enjoyed Chicken Run. I also enjoyed the Wolverine reference since Hugh Jackman plays the main character who definitely has a different personality than the character he's most known for. Thank you as usual for reacting to this underrated animated comedy.

Well it’s about time you reacted to this. This is one of what I’ve been waiting for. I knew the x-men reference until I was older. I was obsessed with this movie back when it released. 😄👍 At 4:46 it never occurred to me that Dreamworks would be poking fun at Disney in that manner. I probably never noticed it before because that is a goldfish and Nemo is a clownfish. What I like about this film is listening to the usually posh Kate Winslet doing a working class accent. It sounds like she's deliberately impersonating Tracey Ullman. 🐀

After an ignoble landing in Ratropolis, a pampered rodent Roddy (Jackman) enlists the help of a sewer scavenger Rita (Winslet) in finding his way back to his posh London flat. Getting home is not the only problem, a rodent-hating Toad (McKellen) wants his notorious cousin, Le Frog (Reno) to exterminate the pair.
This is definitely my favorite Dreamworks claymation movies all time. I loved it as a child of childhood way bck n I still do. I luv Roddy James n tha lines Milicent bystander n We dont need tha money. Tht one scene when he broke tha ruby yeah tht was bit much but it was what it was. :)
