In the comments you will find a link to download this ship. You will be able to get this mechanism, summon it in your Minecraft worlds and try it out yourself.

Place this .nbt file in the path .minecraft\saves\[Your world where you want to summon a spaceship]\generated\minecraft\structures
If you don't have the "generated" folder and other internal folders, just create them

I seriously hope the floater mechanic gets added in some way, and the april fools update was just a way to test it out and see the reception. Because my gosh the building potential with this is insane.

@@TACOCAT_67 the ability to alter gravity. cant rememebr much from the vote update, so thats the only one im sure about. We alsop got the ability to extend the reach of the player, aka what the crab claw woulda done.
Didn’t we also get the ability to alter size all mob & player sizes, or was that before that?
I didn't realise the potato update had such cool mechanics! The spaceship was so satisfying, and the idea of flying in one to explore a world is really epic.
Imagine an end update with such mechanics, I really hope they will use these mechanics again, it would help creativity and travelling a lot faster

@@Litchy51 That could be what they're trying to accomplish here. The End was never meant to be more than an island with a boss fight, so just coming up with ideas for upgrades is a tough task, but adding moving islands would open up a whole load'a possibilities, and it would give the end islands their own unique way of traversal that doesn't require constant bridging.
There is this app called 'curse forge', it has these things called mods, they're really cool things that add new stuff to your games, and whats even better? Minecraft has mods, and what's even more even better? Theres at least 20 different elevator mods, and if you get a mod called 'Create' you can make any kind of spaceship you can imagine, with as many moving parts as you wish. Boom! no need for mojang to add redundant things!
I like that the spaceship wasn't *just* practical stuff- you had some fun theming like the amethyst lab, which really tied the build together

I love the simplicity of the docking mechanism! No need for complicated alignment and docking manoeuvres as seen with real-life spacecraft.

I cherish the idea of creating a global space mod in Minecraft based on Spore... Maybe one day I will succeed
As creative as Spore may have been, there is something about that music, elevating the game and bringing back the memories after all this time. It tells me that in Spore there was heart, and it makes me wonder, "What if someone tried again? Experimental, yet also stylish, weird and creative. What if someone made Spore again, in now and today?"

Hard to capture what I was feeling through out this, but I loved every second of it. I don't play minecraft much (maybe a few weeks out of the year) so I'm not familiar with all the blocks/updates, but I think that made me all the more immersed. Watching you skillfully manuever between floors and rooms, intently activate seemingly random levers and buttons, and your matter-of-fact explainations/demonstrations of downright absurd or exotic things (teleportation using skulk sensors, comparators, and sponges; "strange plant experiments"; the laboratory with crystals growing everywhere)...that plus the music...I felt like a kid witnessing an impossible contraption made by a genius (and absolutely mad!) inventor. Every moment was Wonkaesque and I'm here for it.

That stuff is shockingly smooth for a throw-away joke, if someone works out all the kinks and uploads it as a mod its gonna be a great addition to the game
You know, I dreamt of the Zeppelin mod ever making its way into the newer update. I had no clue potato straight up added this.
Man what an amazing build, really wish these blocks were in a real update, I loved the design keep it up bro
It would certainly be weird having them in the game, since they’d pretty much render many piston doors pointless. But Mojang could probably find a way to settle them into endgame terms, a purpur-type base using shulker bullet type tech, perhaps even utilizing sculk.
The biggest wrinkle that’d need ironing out is finding a way to prevent them from flying on indefinitely, they’d need some sort of block limit so they can only go so far before stopping
@@jpting_id certainly take useless piston doors over having MOBILE BASES. And other interesting stuff. Sculk made previous redstone contraptions outdated this has happened all the time.

judging by it's flying and floating cababilities, and the fact that we will be getting wind charges, that have flying or floating cababilities, then that might be plausible
Maybe they should add the floatato be only able to get by commands or in creative menu
Damn I wish there was a genuine let’s play series of this update. There’s just too much potential for everyone to play it for one day and then forget about it.

There are a lot of game breaking bugs that come with this (like the item duping) so unless all this stuff were to be fixed we may never see something like this in the game. Although you can do the same thing and more using the valkyrien skies mod.
@@Cheeseman709 well yea It was made for an april fools update so ofc It wasn't going to be polished, I just hope they push this idea cuz as a sandbox game I think this is a feature that should've been in the game for the longest time

@@johnuary16these updates are actually for testing new mechanics that they'll eventually add to the game (the dimensions for example). There was once a snapshot that introduced enderman in the nether, which is now a thing. I'd love to see something like this soon in Minecraft. Would definitely add a lot of new redstone concepts.

It still blows my mind that mojang made the create aeronautics mod in a week when it took modders over 3 years and we still might never see this flotater in an actual update 😔
in general, they work on april fools updates on and off for the entire year starting in late april of the year before. the point of april fools updates is to test out new features and gauge community interest without worrying about stability or balancing. many pieces of core minecraft content originated (or at least were first featured in vanilla) in april fools updates - everything from alternate dimensions, to honey block redstone, to structure blocks used in the trial chambers. it wasn't all made in one week

Aeronautics is more complex than this. Firstly, these only move along an axis and don't rotate, while aeronautics airships will move in any direction and rotate in any way. These also don't have thrust, buoyancy, lift, drag, etc simulated. Even Archimedes ships were arguably better than these since they could rotate in the xz plane, and that mod was out a decade ago
This is insanely cool, I love how you managed getting to scout back into the main ship! Something that would normally be really hard, made much much easier!
Wow! Hello, please excuse my English. I have to say that I have been super impressed with your spaceship and the new snapshot, so much so that I have decided to comment and mention that your design has reminded me a lot of a space station that I have been building in my world since 2014 in survival mode.
Sometimes I have considered it finished and other times I have continued adding parts because it is made in modules. It's very big and I still left parts unfinished. It has a greenhouse, a dining room and a chicken farm like this one, a small storage area, 2 water elevators, a medical room, a stone casting room with hoppers, 2 bedrooms like barracks with dozens of beds, a library, a beacon with a structure around it that replicates a nuclear reactor, emergency escape capsules and even a room of portals to the Nether with a detachment on the other side as a teleportation room. I left unfinished 2 stone factories with water and lava around the reactor so that the station would stop depending on any basic ground resources. Of course it doesn't have mechanisms as complex as yours, which makes me want to play again and hope that this snapshot doesn't fall by the wayside. I would like to experiment like you with the way to move my station and turn it into a mobile base like this, it would be amazing. Seriously, it reminds me a lot of yours, and again, I loved your ship.

This is my favourite minecraft build ever! I can't express how much this has thrilled me. I LOVE IT. I'd never seen any moving spaceship made with blocks and also the decoration makes you really feel like you're exploring space. Thanks for making such an amazing build
I really hope they add the floater and some other stuff from this update. Actually I wouldn't mind if they'd add the whole thing at all, despite of how ridiculous it was.
I believe that the floater should be crafted using the Nether Star, which is pretty expensive and "useless" item. For me, it makes a lot of sense.
Why make it prohibitively expensive tho? You need lots of them for any big build, and while wither farms *do* exist, they are very hard to make. Honestly I say make it cheap and ideally renewable.
Because lag is why. 1 big structure happening at a time is no problem, but in a server you could have dozens and dozens of floatato machines. Having something at least decently expensive would make sense to curb that, at least a little.
Even in the potato update, Floatato is a non-renewable blocks that doesn’t generate in particularly large blobs. They’re powerful blocks, and that was designed to be as such.
@@WhatIsMyPorpoise Then limit their use in servers through admin capabilities and/or plugins. Dont make it so that joe schmoe over there playing in his single player private world has to make some stupidly complex farm because he wants to build an airship for himself.

I hope that the sort of system is that the cloud block could be dispensed and be sucked back like a powdered snow bucket so it would act like ballasts or something like that. Having a sort of theme or rule to work with can be pretty fun just like how our aircraft in real life works with the laws of physics and stuff

I mean I would fear running out of resources, getting targeted by governments because of the technology at your hands or you could be a potential threat, the legality of your ship affecting how you would be treated by governing entities.

This entire video and the raw creativity, passion, and imagination just hit me so hard. The whole time I felt like I was a little kid again playing Minecraft on my Xbox 360. I haven’t felt so much wonder or been captivated and inspired so much by anything in Minecraft for years, and this video just perfectly encapsulated that feeling. I wish I could still play Minecraft like this. Thank you for the video and the cool build. My younger self would be very happy knowing that it’s now possible to rebuild Stampy’s spaceship and fly off into space.

Unironically, the floaters feel like a very vanilla way to add movement, with actual implementation outside of April Fools day just needing a cost (like fuel, and difficult to get) and some polishing.
Also, the first level was already cool as hell, everything else just made it better.

This is so cool. You really took a ton a of little things into account (keeping the chest minecarts in place, ladders on the scout shit, etc). The Spore music was also great in the background, damn the space stage music is amazing.

I'm not sure how long you've been playing but I've been around since the days when it was a browser game and I gotta say there's something just wonderful about this video, I don't know if it was deliberate but you perfectly captured the feeling mid-2010 minecraft videos would give me, it's so pure and innocent, just a simple videos showing off a cool thing you made for the sake of other people enjoying it, lovely music, text on screen, no fancy cuts or anything, it's wild how nostalgic this video made me

Incredible job. I love all the different features you managed to install into this spaceship, even with a little scout and everything. It'd be awesome if you built a docking station for the spaceship, a design to be built in your land bases while keeping your ship safe.

This is so cool! I love you worked around the block's imperfections and every little mechanic was thought through, and everything just works! The little toggle latches and things you have to activate for certain things to work is also really cool, makes you feel like a real space explorer flipping a bunch of switches to make sure things don't break. Also the scout's docking system made my jaw drop, the little safeguards were so seamless. Plus it looks really cool as well!
