- A new three-year construction project aimed at rehabilitating key bridges and ramps in downtown Toronto’s east end is giving drivers trying to get around the city more cause for concern.
Work began Tuesday to fix three bridges and a ramp, including the Richmond Street exit from the Don Valley Parkway (DVP).
The work also includes the Eastern Avenue Bridge, as wells as the Richmond Street and Adelaide Street bridges which run over King Street East.

Interest rates being 4% is not "high" they are still historically low. The issue is an overvalued market and stagnant wages.
Homes in 1990 cost 4.3x median annual income.
Homes now cost 15x median annual income.
You could earn 60k in 1990 and afford a nice detached new build home. (my parents bought in 1990, a 60' detached 3000sq foot home with a 250 foot deep lot, ravine backed for $235,000 (and there was no bidding war). The same home last sold for $2.6 million). With a 35k down payment at 13.75% interest (the rate in 1990) the payment would be $2240 a month.
But people now are complaining that "oh god 4% is soo much" No it is not. Shut up. Stop talking about 4% interest rates as though they are "high" this is to distract you from the real issue. That wages are stagnant and the government and businesses don't fucking care.
Now you have to earn 250k+ combined and have 20% down to afford the same home. Who earns that? fucking no one. Literally the top

What r u talking about man? Me and my partner earn over 350k a year and a lot of my friends earn over 250k as well. It's the natural way of capitalist countries, the more developed it gets, the more expensive it gets. You can always move outside the GTA if you can't afford to live here.

In Canada the median income vs home price used to be a 4x difference. Now it is a 15x difference.
Do you know what a median is? It is the number at which 50% of the data is above that number and 50% is below.
Meaning that no matter what income you have owning a home now is more difficult than it was before.
