  • There is no director that bravely and elusively ventures into exploring human morality and the construction of time and memory quite like Christopher Nolan. 2014’s Interstellar is one of his masterworks and like almost all his movies, it entertains yet it leaves moviegoers with a lot of burning questions.
Interstellar is essentially about Earth’s last chance to find a habitable planet before a lack of resources causes the human race to go extinct. But as usual, Nolan colors the movie with dreamlike visuals and poignant performances from his actors.
If you want to know the behind-the-scenes details about the creation of this epic movie, here is the untold truth about Interstellar.

I almost missed it.. I was due for a long and lone trip home where there were no shows playing,
I egged my friend to go last minute high af. Obviously, I was blown away by the music, visuals and mind fuckery..
Went straight to the station afterwards, and let it simmer in my mind throughout the journey.
It was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life..
I have seen all nolan movies from inception in cinemas and I admit some are much superior but, Interstellar was the best nolan experience for me..

This movie doesn’t get half the accolades that it should. It’s a visual masterpiece with an amazing cast who acted spectacularly. In my opinion the number one in this movie was the soundtrack. It’s brings feelings of longing and nostalgia as well as hope for a brighter future. I think I’m going to watch it again right now.

Martin Ogbuigwe very well said. I think it’s easily Nolan’s rawest, most emotional, sappiest film. There are parts where the spectacle, the dialogue, and the score work together to convey unrelentingly emotional vibes where it’s impossible not to cry, cheer, scream, or clench up.

This film was actually over-rated. Tell me, what was the possible extinction event? Global warming? Was it too hot? Too cold? What was destroying the crops? Why would going to another planet fix this problem? Why would a Stanford torrid artificial world be an improvement over a greenhouse on Earth?
The plot didn't make fundamental sense.
Was the Earth running out of resources? Was it over-population?
It's just like "the Earth is doomed!" for some reason, that wouldn't be solved by space travel. If you have a plague killing off crops for example, going to another planet would bring that plague with you.
      This film was vastly over-rated.

I set a countdown clock a few months before it released because I was going to be at the theater the moment it released. It was worth the wait.
I've wanted a sequel from the time the credits rolled but this is a masterpiece and absolutely does not need any kind of continuation. I'll just have to wait for the next space travel film and hope it's even a fraction as good as Interstellar was!

How did “they” communicate with him to create the rooms in the black hole, if he hadn’t saved the world yet? They would not be able to if they were dead, right? Or did the future and present and past etc KNOW that he would save the world, causing it to actually happen in the future? Also may I add that I wrote in the search bar “How the hell to understand interstellar without crying yourself to sleep” to find this video. Thanks for reading this far ❤️
Edit: also could this whole concept happen in real life?
Edit 2: So basically was he able to get to the room where 10 yr old Murph was in, in the black hole created by his furure self with gravity, and the knowledge he had in the future which we don’t right now?

Every generation thinks, no believes, their understanding of nature, physics, and mankind are definitive and will never be proven wrong. Only to be proven wrong.
Two of the most amazing traits of the human race are our ignorance and our arrogance.
A wise man knows he is a fool and a fool believes he is wise. - Seen iterations of this attributed to different men.
The more you know the more you know how little you know. - Aristotle

But the further we go into the future the more of generations are understanding that we will be proven wrong, as science is never a definitive element, it’s always changing with further analysis, we can also learn from past, we can see from history that countless times we have been wrong, even recently and there is no guarantee that we are correct this time around either
