- I've looked all over the internet for this rendition of Insomnia for years, having watched it when it was broadcasted the first time. Finally managed to find a suitable media file. Most likely to be the best live version of the song. A great shot performing electronic music with actual instruments.
I'm 87 and still loving this.
Warrior spirit in that willpower
I’m 185 & do not like it

Well said.
Rip to a great singer rapper and what a great addition to this band he made great iconic songs that will last a life time and beyond
I remember driving back up North from a mates wedding down in Poole Harbour in 2001 and this song kept me going after a hard weekend.
Love the comment ma Bro, same same, peace Maxi! ❤️
If this tune was four hours long it would still not be long enough
Robert Smith likes this comment with: Never Enough! :D

For a track that come out 1995 , we are still playing still loving. I am 50 yr old to.
For me one track that stood out , even with so many good releases in 90,s . The extended 12inch versions on original cd are kick arse 2.
Me too.
Snap, i'm 52 too and am sitting here with my Airpods in up to full volume, way past my bedtime and loving life ;-D ( oh and pissed) xxx

Totally agree
Spot on , totally agree..
Makes my spine tingle
😂😂90s are pearl Jam, nirvana, Alice in chains, Soundgarden. Not cheap electro music
YESSS!!!! Greatest era IMO in music. This hit is TIMELESS!!!! I wanna go back....
I still can’t get no sleep in 2024 because of this fabulous tune pounding in my brain.

With 'normal' instruments playing housemusic....fabulous!
Glastonbury Version was phenomenal

Be pretty dull if they didn't actually play it on a show where they play music
The King of Insomnia finally gets some sleep 😢

We need another summer of love badly at this point
Big time 😢
Take me back to that year it was my favourite time ❤
I get chills every time I hear this. I was lucky enough to see Faithless, words can’t describe the experience.
Take me back! The age of innocence, before the age of anxiety we now live in!
Amen 🙏
Social media is to blame for it all
Short days and long nights. The 90s were the best.
Nostalgia is tricking you.
@@peterwhitey4992 nah, definitely not! I remember people walking around in the 90s with their heads looking up, interacting with real people. Not staring down blankly into a rectangular screen. That's not nostalgia, that's facts!
Everytime i hear this song i get goosebumps, this songs is a timeless classic.
This song must be kept for furture generations to appreciate.
Maxi you were a legend, a mortal.
RIP
Best track from the best British dance band ever and still a favorite background for my gym workouts (even at 60 yrs of age).
I had probably 10 of the greatest minutes of my entire life watching this live in 2006. Maxi Jazz’s passing has really broken my heart.
RIP ❤. Incredible blend of acoustic and electronic instruments.
During lockdown, when it got to my darkest point, these guys lifted me. Fly high brother
This and God is a DJ are still 2 of my all time faves, RIP big fella.
Still makes the hairs go up on the back of my neck - from the days of being ‘loved up’ I was lucky enough to see them live, now 56 love it more than ever. Want this played loud at my funeral before I join you Jazz - Legend.
Cant believe this timeless classic is over 24 years old !!! time flies by so quickly
That Bliss keyboard riff (riff? I play guitar) still sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it!
its was that riff that blew the track up from what i heard,
Portishead and Faithless on the same show... golden era of Later. Glad to hear this performance again; great band.
This tune has no age
Straight away loved this beat, still do 62 bouncing around my kitchen,
One of the best dance tracks ever, 👍👍🔥🔥👍👍
true
Agreed this and jj tribute by asha
The slow tension of the beat and Maxi Jazzs spoken delivery makes this an astounding track!
Love love this so much, I m a 61 year old woman
I’m 60 year old man and love it too!
This never gets old.
The talent of that band is off the scale. A deep regret of mine is not seeing them live.
This is quality it takes me back to the 90,s a happier time to be alive in my opinion!!😁😁
I think that this is the best example of this piece of music that I’ve ever played or heard. It is not only a great banging dance track and fun to expand on, but this particular example is orchestral, taking the listener in and out of all of the instruments and vocals involved in the construction, producing a fantastically fulfilling experience. Wonderful!
Totally agree!
I agree with you all. Play it in salon where I am a perm technician. Staff said omg boss you go with the beat 😂😂
Well I’m 74 and I ain’t normal, according to other people my age. They can do one, let’s dance. XXXXX it
What's normal these days Alan? You lead, i'm coming with you.
Me too Alan. Age is just a number. I can’t get no sleep 😴
I'm 71 Alan,we're all brothers ,age doesn't matter my friend.
Fuckin in there auld boy I raise a 35 year old hand to you!!!
I'm in my 40s, but hope there is room on your bandwagon for me
Hearing this you just want to throw your arms in the air like you just don’t care. What a classic tune. RIP Maxwell
Remember this song playing on rotation for like a week when I was 15 on radio never to be ever heard again until now. Nostalgia is a hellava drug.
a true masterpiece of music . nothing else touches it x
Goosebumps every time I hear this. Bloody brilliant.
This reminds me, I need to return some video tapes

One of the definitive dance tracks. Amazing in a club, on another level when they played it live at festivals. RIP Maxi, and thanks for the tunes man xx

Quite simply...genius.

Faithless is defo one of the best concerts I have ever been to. I went just over 18 years ago. Sister Bliss in my opinion one of the greatest with her multitude of keyboards. Insomnia always been my fave tube.
This bass line is timeless
RIP Maxi - another gem gone too soon! 😪
Nearly 66 and I danced to the live version at Alexandra Palace London...there is no age to music and passion..the legs creak though 😂😂❤
I still remember going out on a Saturday to HMV to buy Sunday 9pm album. I still have it today and it will always stay that way.
Legendary 🎉
They did a gig in Belfast, st Patrick’s day 1998/99. I went with a few mates and they gave me my 1st pill. Everyone was in the pubs so the venue was only about 1/3 full. It felt like a private gig, unreal day out. God is a DJ
You don't need a pill with this music.
One of the most classic rave tunes ever made
History. Before our eyes. This will still be blasted out in 2075.
Truly phenomenal... legendary track
It just doesn't get any better than this.
Maxi Jazz a true Legend & a Gentleman...Thanx 4 insomnia a timeless tune R.I.P

This has to be one of my favourite choons of all time RIP maxy jazz
I'm 70, never danced in my life (unless you call trying to stay upright when shitfaced, as dancing) but I have this in my all time top ten.
Age is just a number
Hey I’m old too. Go ahead and dance! No one is watching.
Good on you. You got good taste.
Ditto
Standing upright whilst shitfaced sir, is a god damn skill that takes years of mastery. I salute you
Greatest trance tune ever
Try the KLF.
RIP maxi jazz. This performance right here is poetry in motion. FOREVER FAITHLESS.
RIP Maxi.
Sister Bliss's fingers just dance on that riff drop.
Watching this again .. wonderful
What a performance , coolness oozes out of them
93 and still loving this
I'm 23 now and this really does makee feel like I missed out. Everyone's so depressed now and the music is mostly shite everybody's materialistic and always on there phones I'd rather have this anyday of the week
Saw these guys almost exactly 22 years ago to the day in Dublin at the The Point. Awesome.
