The lace circle with the ties might be a vintage bun warmer from the 1960s. The lace part is the bottom and people would tuck rolls into the little compartments and then tie the strings together at the top.
Yes…the crocheted round with ties is a bun of warmer…I actually have one that my mom brought back to me from a trip they went on to Ireland many years ago…
It is for rolls. I received one as a wedding gift in 1990.
I agree it’s album/ role warmer
Yep. I was going to say it's for english scones, but seeing as it's in America, I guess it'd be more for buns. I'm in Australia, so we make scones.
Yep, bun warmer!
It's so sad to watch that all these crochet pieces end up in bins because there is no such thing as crochet machine, so every one of them is handmade. So glad that you give new life for them.
Here in South Africa we have 67 Blankets for Mandela Day - they’re on Face Book - & so many people are crocheting blankets for the underprivileged. It’s now a world wide movement & even men are learning how to crochet now.
@@vanessajamieson7420that’s amazing!! Totally wonderful. Warms my heart!❤️
It blows my mind how many good quilts and textiles you find. Like people in Utah really donates some great things.
Absolutely, I’m gonna make a trip sometime in the next year😅
Vintage linens and old books....2 of my favorite things to thrift.
Love these people. Good taste. Loving family. Lots of fun.
“Maybe they can be friends”, says Zeb! Love it, great haul!
All the lace and tablecloths remind me of years ago spending time with my grandma. I miss her and our girly time together on the sofa , she would crochet and i would embroidery smalls. Nice finds today at your bins.
The Nativity flip book is a Marvelous find 👼🏻, really sweet Vintage book 🤍
Fun episode! The planters turned out beautifully!
All the best to your daughter on her mission.
That pale blue tablecloth with the white embroidered flowers looks amazing on camera.
Love that floral painting you already thrifted.
The flower pots are wonderful! My favorite item is the precious Christmas story book! Looks like you hit the jackpot today with so many great finds!
That is a biscuit holder ( the lace with the pockets in it.) you put it in a basket of bowl and put a biscuit in each pocket. If you have a basket you can tie it in making it easier to get the biscuit out!
You can paint plastic and make it look old. I did it with DIY paint. I even applied molds. 👍
Oh, dear friends, you had a excelent shopping
WOW!! BUT THAT BROWN AFGHAN WITH ORANGE FLOWERS WAS OUTSTANDING❣️❣️❣️
I rescued so much yarn from the Rexburg Goodwill yesterday. I'm making afghans for my nieces and nephews. I want ALL the yarn! I'm not a hoarder. (Yes, I am).
Blue prayer shawl from Israel with tallit’s!!
Hehehe you said the 1959 picture of Jesus as if it was taken that year, it made me giggle!
I think the round doily is used for a bread basket
Wow, you got some amazing finds this run! ❤
The pots look great!! Great haul love all the textiles
But cute is such a nice word😊
So many great thing to from the bins, I love how your planters turned out
I love tattered quilts.
Wow❤. Those quilts are beautiful ❤❤❤. I love all the granny chic❤❤❤
Went to the bins on Wednesday. Zeb, u beat me. A book i found, was from 1898 haha 😉😉😉
I live in Kibworth near Market harborough, Leicestershire England, you came here last year. It is a small world! I love old quilts.
That area is beautiful and I found my favorite oil painting in Market Harborough
Tattered quilts can be cut down to the good sections and framed or put in embroidery hoops or stapled over a canvas frame for beautiful artwork.
I love the chenille
Love the flower pots!!😊
lol fun fact I made two pillows for my grandmother at the grand old age of 7 out of that exact patter and brown and orange of that afghan you saw. lol that was 1972…..she had them on her couch well into the 90s.
The books at our bins are only .25!!! I can’t stop buying them
Thank you for buying them 😊
I would be concerned about bed bugs hitching a ride in the linens you bring into your home. They can be bagged tight with a pest product inside the bag overnight in the garage. That's pretty effective before the laundry of course.
That old leather bag will look wonderful.
I wish I could find aome pflatzgraff plates or the C&I Christmas trays. I went thrifting last weekend and picked up a bunch of goodies I'll post a video soon!!
I think the circle with the ribbons is for jewelry….traveling bag….
Wow It Amazes me all the people, that’s Crazy, I live in Louisville Kentucky I am not a reseller, but I Do go occasionally to the Thrift Store, Our GoodWills are Very Expensive, I love watching you and Zeb, and see your Creativity, and I love the Beautiful Mountains,
Great finds. I always love to see what you find at the bins. So many quilts and afghans. Great books.
Love the pots!!
I love your challenge project. Instant curb appeal!
Great stuff as usual
What a great haul!!!!
The linens! My goodness, so many beautiful things!
So many treasures! The plats look great!
Hi! Fun day you two! Lots of great thriftiness today!
Ya did great Rays!!! Good luck Odelia!! 🥰
Oh my goodness ❣️😂 I wish I was there to get some goodies too ❤️ You guy found some great finds. Good for you 👍🥰
The bins! Wow, you found some really great stuff!I think the lacy round thing with the ribbons is a bun warmer, for dinner rolls in a basket or bowl.
Thanks for sharing.
Killer finds at the bins!!
Reno, NV. The bins is my favorite.
Can’t wait to see the leather tote cleaned up.
That Tema towel is pricey brand new! I’ve been pricing them out for the beach!
Unfortunately, our DI in Clackamas/Portland area has raised the prices so much that they are actually more than Goodwill on a lot of things. I used to buy a lot of clothes for my grand babies but it’s too expensive now. We gave several Goodwill bins near me so we round robin them frequently!
The " vintage" rose pattern was from target, a re- pop around the 90's
I'm from Punta Gorda Fl, heading to bins in ft Myers fl tomorrow, pretty sure won't find all the beautiful things your finding...but hoping for something good lol, where are u today, your location area, thank you
i have a winter place in Mesa and love the DI and Military thrift stores. at home in Spokane Wa it's so varied that i'm not sure what my fav is. wish we had a
DI
What’s a DI?
@@debisettles4745 it is where zeb and jami go alot. desseret industries. i'm not sure i have it spelled right, sorry
The round thing is for rolls. You put rolls in the holes and tie it to a bread basket with the strings.
I have years of experience painting outside pots. I have many plastic pots I paint with an outside terra cotta color. Plant does not stick or last. Unless you give the outside of the pot a quick sanding to rough up the surface it makes all difference..
We have pots from three years ago that we don’t take inside in the winter lots of snow, rain wind, and we didn’t send them. We use DIY paint and they are still good.
The crochet round with pockets and strings holds muffins in basket
Great thrift hall
JAMI ... where in Michigan is Odelia's mission? I grew up in the Bay City area & moved to the Detroit suburbs for college & married -- also a family cottage in Northern Mich on Crystal Lake --- Mich is a beautiful state .. almost as beautiful as our sweet Odelia!
She could be anywhere except Detroit they usually move them around ❤️
Lace with ties is a bun warmer towel
roll cozy, place your rolls in each compartment or section
I wonder if the lacey circle is a jewelry keeper for traveling?
Some people mix a plaster bond over tub then put, soil, chilli, coffee grounds tapping over pot it looks fantastic Rural Referb has videos ❤they look good old iron 🦘🐨❤️
Jami there are lots of people who collect quilts just to fold and display in a cabinet 🙋♀️😬
Jami please are share where your denim overalls are from!!! I love them!!
They are from Free People
Bun warmer
Love the outlet shopping finds that you found. On a side, note Jami... is the Blue Jean Romper you are wearing something that you found this year by chance??
Yes the overalls are from free people. I have them in denim and black. I’m a creature of comfort and my new daily uniform is a romper.
@JamiRayVintage one last question... is this a site or store... I am around your age and was very excited to have found Blue Jean Bibs a few months back. I am so excited
Thank you so much for responding
I should have Googled before messaging you back. I found them online. Thank again
Looks you'll have to buy a second washing machine for all the textiles you are finding!
Jami, I like your jean overalls. Do you sell them?
No, they are from Free people
Would really love to purchase that puffed blue quilt that you got at the bins can you tell me what size it is cause I want it please please please
I’m pretty sure it is queen. I’m gonna measure it before we list it for Saturday.
Oh my goodness I think you should have been this years ago!!
I made plastic pot look like concrete
Don't you think it would have been better if you sprayed it unless your weather's not good.Of course, you can but do you think screwing plastic with the crayon?Plastic paint would've been a better job and then come in and invelop it with white.Washed or whatever to make it look like stone or something
No, I just took a couple minutes to brush it. It wouldn’t be worth getting the sprayer out and it will hold up just as well as plastic paint and this paint is nontoxic and looks better.
🌞🌞🌞
Where do you sell what you thrifted?
Here is the thrifted collection.

😊👍👋
That’s a gorgeous table full of beautiful linens. Love the planter pots, gave me an idea to do my own drip glaze effect for some massive “ceramic” pots I just passed over in the thrift. Love your videos, I just rediscovered your channel and have been binge watching.
I would love to see a video on how you know if the crochet items are handmade or mass produced and how you tell if quilts are hand stitched. Also, some quilts can be hand stitched AND also mass produced? A video on textiles would be so fun! I look forward to Monday and Thursday nights!!!
all that linen - wonderful pieces (the sheets and the crochet items), not a fan of quilts
I don’t know why they don’t take out coats and blankets before they go to the landfill. There are so many homeless people in need of blankets and coats during the winter. We should be ashamed.
Where is your daughter serving her mission?
Michigan
Jami .... whee in Michigan is Odelia doing her Mission ? I grew up in Michigan ( the Bay City area as a child & the Detroit suburbs for college & married -- family cottage in northern-- Crystal Lake ) Michigan is a beautiful state -- as beautiful as our sweet Odelia... !
SRSLY! Y'ALL NEED TO GET GO PROS
I am not wearing a GoPro.
Let’s work on other adjectives than “ cute”
I will do my best
