What's your No.1 Maxi-Scooter? Let us know in the comments
I already posted it - my Burgman 650 Executive.
My number one is exactly your number 1. This is a very good listing 👍🤝
Kymco downtown 350i
Bought a 2013 BMW C650gt in 2016 and just rolled over the 50,000 kms mark, I love it. Will do 170 kph all day long. Heated grips, h eaten seat, electric windscreen. Enough room for two full faced large helmets under the seat.
Kymco ❤
I bought my Burgman 650 scooter around 2006. It the best bike I've ever owned. I can't comment on the other bikes because the only other one I tried was the Honda Helix that, when the wind was strong, it pushed me all over the road. I still have my Burgman and I'm going for a long ride today if weather permits.
You ride a 16 year old scooter? LMAO get a job dude
@@wooshbait36 I'm retired. I take good care of my scooter and it has easily lasted 16 years. BTW - it has a top speed of 120mph so it's more like a motorcycle than a scooter. I need a motorcycle license to ride it.
Love her excitement over these scooters.
1 month into living with my 2019 X adv 750 and I am loving it. No complaints at all. Perfect bike for city and longer rides 👌
Great to hear! Enjoy
Good
Hi there … how do you wash coean and lube your chain please.. ?! Do you need to remove your chain guard or you do it from underneath??
@@mariuspetre1613 , keeping on top of it by doing it from underneath atm. My muc off chain cleaner tool fits the space the chain is visible.
@@needsmokes2410 thank you!! I thought so.. well I guess is ok for s quick clean and lube… but once in a while .. tha guard has to come down for a proper clean..
Love your videos! Hope to see many reviews this summer
Cheers for the comment, we are hoping so! What bikes are you hoping we will test?
I’d go for ADV350 as it’s about half price of it’s big brother and adequate performance
We are hoping to do a mid-sized maxi-scooter list soon. We have a review on the ADV350 coming out very soon!
Good rundown. Thanks.
Cheers for the comment Paul!
All scooters are a blast, thank you
Cheers for the comment Brian!
SYM TL 500 forever 👍✌️
Ten thumbs up for yamaha Tmax. Cream of the crop scooter and nine thumbs up for the Suzuki burgman 400. My five cents opinion. Gd day!
I have got the Forza 750 fully kitted out. It can handle long journeys without fail. Uk France Spain Gibraltar Portugal through to Northern Spain to Santander then home. Love It.
I'd put the ADV 350 on this list.
@yumpladukfoo It's available
We are hoping to put a mid-sized Maxi scooter list out! Certainly haven't forgotten the ADV 350, infact we have a new review video coming out for this very soon.
Yup, agree totally...
@@BikeMatters Guess I’m the only one that wants an ADV400 with lighter weight than the 750, DCT and 270 degree twin. 🤷♂️
The Piaggio Beverly 400 would have been perfect for me. That would be my first choice!
Great scooter!
I realise that any list like this will depend on what bikes/scooters are available in the market where the video was made, in this case the UK. First I note that no three wheelers were considered (allowing for what I just said about the models available in the test market). I would have thought some consideration might have been given for the Piaggio MP3 400 or Gilera 500 both maxis and well worth a thought in terms of performance, comfort and price. In my view the bench mark for maxi scooters is the Suzuki Burgman 650 AN Executive (I own one - I know they are no longer sold in Australia where I live) - it may not be available in the UK anymore and so that is why it was not considered. I haven't ridden the 400 but it appears to be a smaller version with a little less kit. I rate the 650 highly because it is good in the city for the daily commute (we don't have congestion charges in Australia - yet) but is even better on the open road easily sitting on 110km/h (the national speed limit) all day. It is ideal for touring. The under seat storage accommodates 2 full face helmets (if packed correctly). The CVT works well with the twin engine - there is the full CVT option, a manual option with a 6th gear for overdrive on the open road giving better fuel economy (with careful riding up to 250kms/14l tank and a power option in "auto" mode for extra power when over taking. An electrically adjustable while riding screen which gives good protection from the wind and electrically fold in mirrors complete the package.
The piaggio beverly 400 is perfect for touring, just been round Scotland on mine with guys on BMW s ,the BV 400 was perfect I never got tyred and saved a load of money on fuel, keep your big BMW s twist and go much easier.
And I bet you was pretty comfortable for most of the trip too? Great to hear the feedback on the Bev 400.
beverly perfect for touring????lol
beverly is a bike to make 30-50 km per day
@@xdx2653 bro I drive a 125cc scooter almost 100km in 2-4 hours. Either you're talking out your ass or just spreading misinformation.
i love your style!!! cheers from Mexico and I would take the BV400 or the Yamaha Xmax! i do not want an IPAD for instrument clouster!
Proud owner of an a xdv .. is coming at the end of this month… can’t wait.. counting the days…
Lucky you! Let us know how you get on
I purchased the AK550 this year definately a good buy for a bigger Maxi scooter, thanks for video highlighting these scooters
How many miles you done so far any good ?
Over 3000 miles since April and 3 oil changes so far
Me quedaria con KIMCO en definitiva tengo una y no tengo queja alguna
Sym Joyride 300. For true scooter aficionados, a flat floor is a must.
I miss my Burgman 650 Executive. Not made anymore?
Tmax is probably the best followed by the Adv and Kymco AK 550 is up there as well!!
Great choices!
Would love to see something about which scoot is more passenger friendly. Looking for a scoot where my passenger is comfortable.
Thanks for the feedback
would love to see the 750 Forza show up in the states..
I almost bought a Forza 750 .. But I didn't fancy paying £10k for what is really an updated Integra . The TMax is lovely, but at £12,500 Is a luxury not all can afford. The X-Adv is nice but with the hassle of chain drive as with the Forza 750. I decided in the end to spend a lot less on a 2018 Suzuki Burgman 650 Exec with 2,600 miles on it . I looked at a new 400 , sat on it , but there just wasn't the space for 2 Adults to be sat comfortably for a cross country or Inter-continental trip. The Burgman is Comfy - Has the power , Heated seats, Grips , Electric Screen , Loads of storage . Sometimes you have to look at what you really need something for & decide if you really need New ! Afterall as soon as you ride that brand spanking new scoot off of the forecourt you have probably kissed goodbye to 10% of the re-sale value should you have made the wrong choice . Think Twice - Buy Once 😉👍
Completely agree with this. I have a Burgman 650 executive and love it, although she is rather heavy to manoeuvre, reversing it for example and getting on the stand. However, she offers everything I need.
Proud Owner of Tmax560 here😍
Lucky! How are you getting on with it?
@@BikeMatters nice , smooth and powerful . 😎👍🏻
2022 is looking like a great year for the Maxi Scooter!
And we should be reviewing a few this year too :)
Which ones are available in North America?
I was hoping to find out how these bicycle do in the US market my home country
I really thought about a forza 125 because of the excellent fuel economy and range. Electric windshield, i really like the aesthetics. Won't have to pay extra insurance since i alrdy have a bigger motorcycle
But then I realized that I could also get a Royal enfield classic 350. 20hp vs 15. About the same fuel mileage, but larger tank. And it's a full size motorcycle. And it costs 500€ less where i live
Forza 125 isn't a maxi
the electric windshields shake even when sitting still, good idea but not so good in practice
@@bjorn1583 i test drove a 2018 model froma friend and it doesn't shake while standstill or 100+ km/h
The 2021 modell year is supposed to work just as well
@@VegitoBlackityBlack it is just without the ooomph as the 350 forza are the exact same size
I wish there was a 300cc and over scooter with flat floor and room for 2 helmets under the seat.
This would be the ultimate all-around practical scooter!
I bought the Kymco AK 550 2021 recently, go get you one and enjoy riding
Kymco is not 8 plase in this list never must be more up.. exelent bike
Glad to hear that, we certainly enjoyed riding it a few years back for a review. What do you like about it the most?
X-ADV is my favourite maxi scooter ❤️❤️❤️
Exactly that's why is my favourite.
Hello, I must admit that it's a very nice video and even a great selection of scooters👌😊 but ... Don't get mad, but I had the opportunity to test 8 of these 10 scooters and I would definitely not put x adv (adv) in the first place, because if we talk about the plexiglass and sides of the scooter against the wind, then in this respect it is a tragedy in my experience. . The way it blew on me at Xadv was horrible. The shield is really pathetic at work at higher speeds. It just blew terribly at me😒
Greetings from Czech Republic and have a nice day🙋♂️
Thanks for your feedback! What would be your number one pick?
My 2007 KYMCO 500 EXCITING serves me well - keep scootering.
Wmoto RT3 😊
Yamaha Tmax TechMax and Honda X-ADV 750
the perfect motorbike is what you have now and can go anywhere you want 😀
I’ve got the adv 750 and ❤️ it
Great bike, how long have you owned it for?
Honda xadv is the best it has everything looks like a scooter but Also like a super bike big engine
Huge display
Great sexy look
Not so big and heavy like the tmax
The only bad issue is it rear wheel the need to make it bigger because its small but overall best superscooter or maxi scooter for now
Is this the Bristol Maxie 400?
TMAX the King!!
Aprilia SRV 850 not worth mentioning?
New Zontes m310 is looking really good ....could be the best 👌
Son poo poo las zontes
I would love to get my hands on one of these to review!
Don't laugh but I ride a 2021 Kymco Agility 125 which is perfect for local travel with plenty of zip. Weighing in at only 200 lbs it is nimble and feels like an extension of my body on wheels. Fuel economy (110 mpg) is also great. For longer expeditions (but not long-distance cross-country) I take my 2014 Honda NSS-300. The Honda (279cc, 80 mpg, 24 bhp) has lots of power, sips gas, and cruises quietly and comfortably at 60-70 mph. If I were in the market for another maxi, I would go for the Kymco AK550 - a fine twin-cyl for longer hauls, and at a reasonable price.
I have owned the burman 400 and 650 but the Piaggio bv 400 best touring bike on the road = best in class
Many nice scooters, but why so small fuel tanks, 17-20 liters scould be better and add range..
Yamaha Tmax tech 2022-2023 is so efficient in technology, very practical, so easy to maintain, and very stylish.
i hope there will come over with higher end of the Honda PCX ,must have it on 750cc to 1000cc👍💯🇵🇭
🤞
So reviewing a scooter you could not buy in the UK makes sense. I have watched a of your videos now and surprised me how many have reviews about machines you don’t know the price of . Crazy. Apart from this keep up the good work
How do I make a purchase
How can i get one of these ship to America iam so mad nobody over seas ship to USA so annoying America dont have fabulous sexy moped scooters
How is that possible that all prices you mentioned are 2-3x much more expensive in my country than yours ?? I live in Switzerland.
I’m riding X-max 250 after changing tyres to Michelin city grip 2, sport spark plug Moto DX, K&N air filter and Yoshimura muffler is completely different power scooter. Motorway range up to 300 km on full tank, local roads up 410 km on full tank. I wish have T-Max Tech Max. Honda looking good but never will bit Yamaha 😂performance :)
Tricity 300👌bought two weeks ago
On our three-wheelers video :)
Love the X-ADV. Surprised the 350 wasn’t on your list.
Don't worry there is a mid-sized maxi video coming very soon
T-Max 500 2007 !
ADV 350 is my type !
So much interest and love for the ADV350, we have a review on this coming very soon!
New subcriber here🤩😍🥰
Welcome!!
The Honda Forza isn't available in the U.S.
Not for international brand
But, Any Indian made available bike and position please
I have new vespa 300 and Forza 750. Just sold tamx 530.
Two great scooters!
Just bought x max 300,and ...best
How are you getting on with it?
Honda best
Honda Forza 750 è,per me,il migliore. Comodità,prestazioni e il cambio sono al top. È molto più una moto che uno scooter.
SYM TL 508?
i have xmax 300 before i had nc 750... in city 300 cc is enough.... i dont need more than 300 cc
Not for me
I ride a 2014 Honda NSS300 (283 cc, 12k miles), plenty of power, extremely reliable. I agree that 300 cc is more than enough for local travel. Any more than that is really unnecessary (and unusable) in all practicality,
Good
XADV-750 is dbest of all
Yamaha Tmax tech tops it!
Forza 750 probably is the best, unfortunately is not available anywhere but Europe
X-ADV = SUPER
Great choice!
Available in india ??
I thought the video got looped when at the start I heard "It's Me...Me.."
Yamaha T-max all the way ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
It is definitely a high-spec'd maxi! Do you own one?
Honda Xadv 750 is the best
Trasleschion Ita
Honda X-ADV is cramped in its riding position. Definitely OK is you are shorter than. 5ft 10"
Where is maxsym tl ?
le gelera gp800 c le numero 1 ou scooter
HONDA AVT 750.
I like your voice
If Yamaha had used tomtom instead of garmin I would have made it no.1
Kymco will blow you away with the value for the buck and overall performance.
Do you own one currently?
For what I would need it for the Sym or the Piagio would do just fine , it's a scooters people do you really rider modes !
I'm happy with my Xmax
My Piaggio Beverly 400 with 35 bhp is more than enough for UK roads. Superb motorcycle like handling on our twisty roads.
The new hondas are more motorcycle and being i have a superbike collection of both /all euro and japanese cuperbikes ( euro superbikes best in all aspects now ) theForza is neither fish nor foul
I think bmw c 400 gt
great choice!
For me T Max os the best, and I’ve tried all the others.
No doubt, TMax💪💪💪
Great to hear. Do you own a Tmax currently? How long have you owned it?
T-max is much better than the others. It plays in a superior league
It is fully spec'd up that is for sure!
HONDA X-ADV😍😍😍
Someone please send me a Honda X-ADV to Australia... The nation with zero good maxi's approved for import
You can not beat the Burgman 650
I am on my 7th one since 2004 and very unhappy that my current ride a 2018 model is the last one available 😭😭😭😭
There are 750cc scooters and you have a bunch of 300s on the list
These are all great looking scooters. It's just too bad none of them are available in the US because we're so far behind the rest of the world.
Shame the US doesn't get many of the Maxi Scooters we do!
@@BikeMatters My dealer near Boston currently sells the AK550. It is a beautiful machine. So there's hope!
Aprillia SRV 850 scooter
Not been available new for some time now, sadly.
Sh 350 vu
Adv 350????
Ikr
Hoping to bring out a mid-sized maxi list soon, ADV350 is great in fact we have a review video on the ADV350 hitting the channel very soon.
I wish we could get something new bigger than 400cc in the USA.
Is their no manufactures over there?
Sure Honda do their bigger scoots, can’t you get a forza 750??
Also the burg man 650 was 100% released in the USA although they might not do them new now
@@MatthewChapmanYT The no longer sell the Burgman 650 in the US and I haven't been able to find any new Scooter larger than 400cc here. I heard that, as they are in the same price range as many motorcycles, the bigger scooters don't appeal to enough people in the US market. I believe the Burgman 650 last sold in the US in 2018.
Zontes may be Chinese but already they are making their mark. With exciting new technology and commitment to high quality I'm backing them. If their scooters take off they may very well offer a serious alternative to the bigger brands. I've had three zontes models so far and I'm very impressed. Look them up. See what you think.
Zontes appears in our new scooters 2022 video, and we have tested Zontes in the past too. Would love to test more!
China doesn’t deserve a dime of any true westerner’s money. They have an atrocious human rights record and I’m more than willing to pay extra for a scooter not owned or built in China.
Why doesn’t the BMW C650GT make the list? In fact, it should be #1.
It's not available new any more.
