Yamaha YZF-R1 World SBK Pure Sound in Action at Imola & Misano Circuits!

Back to last year, when I attended the two Italian World SBK events at Imola and Misano. During the two races, I managed to record the six Yamaha YZF-R1 that took part to the whole 2023 season, including the two official bikes of Toprak Razgatlıoğlu and Andrea Locatelli, plus the private managed of GRT Team (Dominique Aegerter and Remy Gardner), Motoxracing (Bradley Ray) and GMT94 (Lorenzo Baldassarri)
The YZF-R1 is powered by a liquid cooled 4-stroke engine DOHC, forward inclined parallel 4-cylinder with 16 valves and fuel injection, coupled to an Akrapovic exhaust. The ensemble produces no less than 230 horsepower which sends the R1 from 0-100kph in 2.6 seconds and it will keep going until it reaches 340kph
In World SBK, with the R1 Yamaha managed to win a couple of championships, with Ben Spies in 2009 and with Toprak Razgatlıoğlu in 202, with 13 wins and 3 superpoles
