carbine has always been underrated imo i would say it deserves second place, great looking, well rounded, the fastest reload, it just lacks in ammo capacity. (my personal ranking) 4. Lichfield Repeater 3. Lancaster Repeater 2. Carbine Repeater 1. Evans Repeater
Ammo capacity is way more valuable than reload speed. Obviously all of the guns are capable of killing people pretty effectively (especially if you're good with headshots), so none of them suck. But compared to the rest of them, fourth place is where it belongs. With the lower damage and ammo capacity, it's not great with body/limb shots. And if you can land headshots well enough, you might as well just get a gun with more ammo capacity. I can't think of any good reason to use it over any other repeater.

While carbine doesn’t excel at anything it doesn’t lack in anything either, so well it’s not the best if you have a certain play style it’s easily the most well rounded and there’s no situation it’s not good in, all the other rifles have weaknesses but carbine can be good in any situation, if you have moderate skill then you can use the carbine repeater easily and kick ass with it in any situation with other rifles you can usually do even better but if you get into a bad situation with them you’re pretty much fucked and it’s for this reason i’ve always loved carbine.

Since you can carry two large weapons, I find it unnecessary to have a jack of all trades that excels at nothing in particular, when you could just have two guns that excel at what the other doesn't. It'd definitely rank higher if you could only carry one gun.
At least to me? Carbine is close to being first place because it is really good! The second most damaging, great stats overall and even if you can't hold a lot? The reload is so fast it literally doesn't have it matter that it reloads more often when it kills in good three, two or one shot cus of it's overall well balanced stats
Lancaster all day for online, especially pvp. The Evens reticle bloom is much bigger. Sometimes, missing a shot altogether. The Evans sounds real beefy though. The Litchfield is well so so.
Nah the Lancaster is objectively the second best weapon in the game. Maybe in single player it’s good, but in online the thing has perfect accuracy and bloom compared to every other weapon.

The Lancaster is also a quarter more accurate by default and you can maximize the accuracy to 100 with improved iron sights which makes it the best for landing quick headshots with free aim. Evans to me is just not worth the extra 12 bullets considering the downsides. Plus, most firefights are over before you reach the fourteenth bullet of the Lancaster. You have ample time to reload in between tbh, and that’s without Dead Eye instantly reloading your weapons in single player.

I love the Evan’s for the reload noise and the 26 bullets. I’ll also run sawed offs and a carcano. Sometimes I’ll swap the sawed offs for schofields or m1899s but if I do that I change out the carcano for a repeating shotgun
Remember. Every gun is good, it’s all about the user. If someone says this gun is bad then their just shit at using them. I killed a 4 pose of players online with a carbine while they used shotguns and Lancaster.
Lancaster is #1, the accuracy of the weapon is top notch, may lack stopping power on regular ammo, but you can get high velocity and express rounds. Evans repeater is at #2, mainly for storage capacity, holding 26 rounds. But that gives you a really long reload time. Pretty accurate but I rarely use it. The litchfield stats are strange to me. Supposedly they are better than the Lancaster, but I don’t see it. It’s really loud, sounds like I shotgun and it’s hard to hit any damn thing. I rather use the regular carbine repeater.

In real life the Evans had some serious design issues, mostly around how the rifle reloads and holds it’s ammunition. The Lichfield is essentially a .44 Henry repeater, which was a rimfire cartridge. Rimfire is generally considered less reliable, and the Henry’s lack of forward grip meant the rifle got extremely hot to hold after successive rounds. The carbine is modeled after the Spencer’s repeater. Not a bad rifle by any stretch, but not considered the best. The Lancaster is modeled after the Winchester 1866. It’s widely considered to be one of the most iconic rifles ever produced and even reproductions are extremely coveted for their smooth action, accuracy and reliability. There for my list is as follows: 1. Lancaster 2. Carbine 3. Lichfield 4. Evans
They are all more then adeguate, I personally like the Carbine the most just because of it's distinctive cycling and reload animations. Looks really pretty with black iron frame and mahogany varnish. I prefer the Bolt Action for serious gunfights anyway

Lancaster is my second weapon choice after bolt action rifle. Accuracy is everything in this game and powerful weapons like the Litchfield won’t matter if you’re missing your shots because of poor accuracy.

Litchfield The litchfield literally cannot hit anything, the evans feels solid but i think the reload is too slow, the carbine is soild too and has a really fast reload, and the lancaster just feels the best to use and is the most well rounded
I prefer the Carbine due to it’s reload speed, while other dudes in a Lever action rifle battle take forever to load theirs, it just takes one swift motion, a push, and hip fire, and the Carbine Repeater’ll come out victorious, while it does lack ammo capacity and power, it makes up for in speed, precision, and usefulness. Evans repeater is the best of them. The power and accuracy is perfect. What makes it the best is that this gun has 26 bullets in one round and this is very awesome and the gun doesn't need to be reloaded. And the sound.. you can feel your enemy's pain with that sound!

Even in story mode, I'd still have to go with a fully upgraded Lancaster Repeater. I get headshots all day with it, in story mode and online mode.

Lancaster is my second weapon choice after bolt action rifle. Accuracy is everything in this game and powerful weapons like the Litchfield won’t matter if you’re missing your shots because of poor accuracy.

The litchfield literally cannot hit anything, the evans feels solid but i think the reload is too slow, the carbine is soild too and has a really fast reload, and the lancaster just feels the best to use and is the most well rounded

I prefer the Carbine due to it’s reload speed, while other dudes in a Lever action rifle battle take forever to load theirs, it just takes one swift motion, a push, and hip fire, and the Carbine Repeater’ll come out victorious, while it does lack ammo capacity and power, it makes up for in speed, precision, and usefulness. No matter what ranking it is, the Lancaster will always be my favorite repeater cause it's so iconic for a western game or movie, it's so powerful, looks good and you can get it pretty quickly at the start of the game❤

What makes it the best is that this gun has 26 bullets in one round and this is very awesome and the gun doesn't need to be reloaded.
And the sound.. you can feel your enemy's pain with that sound!

On Console the Lancaster slams the Litchfield for the accuracy alone, it doesn't matter if the Litchfield hits harder if you only hit headshots.

I believe the rifling and maybe barrel length affect the weapon’s firing noise; at least that’s been my experience. Glad you mentioned it.
