Awesome advice, I totally agree with Clinton when he mentioned how awesome Eli's channel was when he did tech videos and the interactive daily blob where tech is prior videos and general interaction with the chat took place. Live on its own does not do much for CZcams unless there is some form of meaningful interaction that goes beyond ignoring all but the $10 and up superchats.

The problem I have with Eli is that his videos are too long, by about 90% and it’s clear he knows next to nothing about some of the things he talks about. Watch his tor video for example.

The fact he argued with a client that they hadn't been doing their backups then proceeded to install the backup drive in all the local PCs. Ignoring the fact there'd now be no offsite back. Shocking.
I always thought his videos were too short, when a discussion delves deep into tech, even a 2 hour video is too short.

I’ve never heard of Eli. I usually get tech related recommendations but CZcams never recommended him to me. I usually get your channel (subscribed), Linus, Gamer Nexus, Kyle and Paul.
Because he started his channel in early days and made “what is” videos. He than started to give consultations and coaching. That was somewhat interesting for me - to learn a bit about his experiences in the industry. But from some reason he started to do this 2h long “I told you” (or rather “if I were talking about this, I would have told that”) rants on anyone significant on youtube and youtube itself. I used to play his videos as a background during pc games and stuff but since now he is laughing for 40% of his videos and another 40% bragging about himself, I can’t watch it anymore.

Because he was not in the same games as those. He's channel what more for IT beginners, IT medium level, business development, etc.
Very like what Louis is doing except that he started to focus on blogging at some point. It was great until the CZcams algorithm started to not propose his videos and channel overall. From his claim, despite getting less views with his controversial vlogging he was doing more money per view than if he kept the same content. But still, his view count and subscriber was still going down. He was piss off and started his own website under a 5$/mo fee. Apparently he have enough subscriber to his content to live on it and take CZcams as a way to get people on his website.
He's way too much out of his comfort zone. I don't know if because he is an Asperger's but he tend to stock on a subject and everything he's going to say will always fall to the thing he's stuck with.
Eg :Jordan Peterson start a platform based on Patreon and he think that's a bad idea to trust him because in he's view his plan his designed to fail. You can literally come back 3 weeks later and jump at 15min of any Videos that he publish and you have a 50% of chance that whatever he's talking he's still refer to the Jordan stuff and will probably do it for the next 10min.
The next month it's going to be about how PHP is a dying language, but if you're going to work in the average business most of them still have a ton of system and application build on PHP. So for the next 4 weeks, for whatever the subject he will talk it will always go back to the PHP stuff for 20% of the videos.

I actually took a look at the video ( czcams.com/video/68rUuTjX_M4/video.html ) and it's actually above-average Eli vid with particularly little idle jammering. My guess is that SOME Peterson daddy/mommy issues brigade gets triggered when people point out how much money the ex psychologist is collecting and when it is referred to as a business. Peterson fans are low energy people.

Eli the Computer Guy? Found that one quite a few years ago. At first I tought he offers some helpful insights for people like me who (back then) were relatively new to the business. But I soon realized that his knowledge doesn't goes very deep. He has a lot of "advice" out there that is simply wrong and/or bad practice. I can imagine that his cocepts work well from a business-side view. But from a technical view some of it is very strange.
