Doing this myself for the first time doing plugs. Did your plugs end up being pre-gapped? Or did you end up having to remove them and gap them properly? Also i know you mentioned not needing to torque them down to 20 ft lbs. did that cause any issues? Sorry for dumb questions. TIA
They aren't bad questions for the first time doing it. My plugs were per gapped but I did check them off film you should just to make sure. I have not had any problems after changing them.
No I didn't and everything was fine infact all the work I do on what ever I am working on unless it deals with the battery or starter I don't unhook the battery I no a lot of people out there unhook it for every little thing but it really has made no difference in anything I have done over the years on and off utube

Never assume the gap is pre-set and that the gap is correct 🙄☹️

Do you recommend disconnecting the negative battery terminal before starting? I’m about to change mine today or tomorrow.

Where did you get the boot kit and spark plugs?
The boots I got at the dealer plugs are from the parts store
The new spark plug boot i order are slightly shorter by like a inch.Can i still use them?
I am not sure they may not reach the spark plugs I ordered mine for a dealership
You could try them if the don't reach it may not start or if it does may misfire
