    Very helpful video! A Many Thanks to you Dr. If you can tell people to save the Notepad text file by choosing UTF-8 for the encoding then it would be even better.

    Very helpfull, i want to ask, how about the penalty? Can it be used for negative scores? Thank you

    • @Facultyworkshop
      @Facultyworkshop  Před rokem +1

      You can use it for zero, but I have not tested it out with a negative score. I'm not sure if their implications for using a minus symbol when uploading.
      You can test it out, but I would suggest that you test out only one question to see if it works or not before you upload a batch of questions .

    Dear Sir, thank you so much for this valuable video! It is absolutely clear, helpful and supportive. I also saw the video regarding to shuffle. I would have some questions, and would be deeply grateful for the answers! I should have a quiz with three different sets of 10 questions. How can I make those separate questions and is there a chance to make a bank for each? I apologize if somebody had already asked this of if there is a video, since I haven't found one. Thanks a lot!

      Thank you for your feedback. Regarding your question, you can create a category and upload the second and third batch to those categories.

      @@Facultyworkshop Thank you so much for your fast answer! And, one more thing, is there a shuffle option for the answers, apart from the one for the questions?

  • @englishassecondlanguagensa

    Does the student have to get both right to get the score or is the difference split?

    • @Facultyworkshop
      @Facultyworkshop  Před 3 lety

      It depends on the percentage that you allocated for each answer. If you put 100% for each question then they only need to select one of them to get full marks/score

    Appreciate the Moodle info. Have you ever used Moodle with Notability on an iPad?

    • @Facultyworkshop
      @Facultyworkshop  Před 8 lety +1

      Thanks Maggi! I've used other note taking apps on an iPad, but not Notability. My main iPad note taking app was GoodNotes, which I used with an Adonit Jot stylus. It's not as robust as Notability, but it worked great for what I needed it to do. That being said, I used GoodNotes during live lectures as a tablet that was mirrored on to my screen or projector. When screening recording for (math) video tutorials, I prefer to use a Bamboo tablet and other desktop apps. Are you using an iPad note taking app with Moodle?

    Hello, this video was very useful. Why don't you give 50% weight (per each) to the 2-answers question?

    • @Facultyworkshop
      @Facultyworkshop  Před rokem +1

      You can allocate any weight variation to the questions. In this particular a 50-50% weight makes perfect sense. Thank you for the feedback.

    Hello. Is there any specific format to upload other information also along with the questions. I.e. Question name and feedback.

    • @Facultyworkshop
      @Facultyworkshop  Před 7 lety +2

      +Samal Nahuria - Yes! You need to create your questions in GIFT format and use specific symbols to identify your question name and add feedback. I create a video to show how to do here is the link: czcams.com/video/gWFpAy_7HMo/video.html

    Great job!! I wonder whether can questions with mathematical signs and equations also be imported in the samle way? I need to do that Your suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

    • @Facultyworkshop
      @Facultyworkshop  Před 7 lety

      I haven't found a way to batch import equations or mathematical signs easily into Moodle. There are several math editors that allow you to create the LaTex format or coded needed for equations in Moodle, but I haven't found one that will allow you to export these equations. Moodle has a native equation editor that allows you to create mathematical signs and equations, but you'll need to do it one at a time. Or you can use a software like MathType to create several of them and then manually copy and paste the code into Moodle.
