- When a west suburban kindergarten class learned they may not see their teacher again this year because of COVID-19, they came together to do something extraordinary.
When the teacher is honoured like that, you know that he or she has become a role model for those kids.

When your kids love you, it's the biggest achievement of your life.

Absolutely heart warming !! My son has been a teacher for 17 years. He hasn't had a parade like this, but it's so heart warming to go places with him and have "His kids" come running up to him to say Hi Mr. Rob i miss you. Or his first couple years of students now happy to have their children in his class!! What a beautiful surprise for this amazing teacher !!!

I would love to do this for my teacher. But currently she isn’t doing well and she is in the hospital, she is an amazing teacher, doesn’t give homework (LOl), is genuinely nice, makes sure we are mentally stable, I really hope she is ok.
Why not get a large get well card for her and have all the kids and their parents sign it
Not giving homeworks could be a good thing too. Cuz not every kids like the traditional schooling style where they are forced to do homeworks.

We need stories like this. Positive message of appreciation. Teachers don't get recognized enough. They certainly don't get paid sufficiently. A main reason why so many have left teaching is $.

This warms my heart. The little one's next-door all had Birthday Parades come by over the spring and summer. The honking started down the lane. It was so much fun.

my first grade teacher, Miss Enkie, in 1961, was an old woman, and the kindest teacher i had, up thru 10th grade...i will never forget her. the one year i was never in trouble, b/c why would i act out when the teacher made me feel respected. 63 years later and i often see her, sitting at her desk during milk and cookies, shaking her milk carton as if there were ice cubes in. Her memory is blessed.
My daughter's kindergarten teacher is like this. We gave our daughter the chance to miss school one day for a day of fun as a reward and she started to cry and said no because she would miss seeing her teacher.
That is one great teacher and alot of great kids we need more teachers like her
