  • In Morocco They Eat This Food Everyday!! In this Morocco travel vlog I am in Chefchaouen and I explore this blue city history, food and culture. I visit the Spanish mosque at the top on the hill and see other beautiful sights that chefchaouen has to offer. I eat a moroccan food known as tajine or tagine and they eat this food in Morocco everyday. I understand why they love tagine because it is such a yummy food.

    Who am I?
A man from the USA trying to discover the world one place at a time, while sharing the experiences through my lens. I like traveling to places that are usually not first on most people’s itinerary and showing everyone that these places are worth the journey. I want to experience all the countries I visit as a member of the society but at the same time learn about the culture, food and beautiful people. Growth is not achievable without leaving your comfort zone, so just do it!

Did you know, my friend, that in the battle of Morocco 🇲🇦 against the Spaniards 🇪🇦 and Portugal 🇵🇹, and Morocco defeated them, the Portuguese Kingdom turned into a Portuguese Republic, in the Battle of the Three Kings?

The mosque that you saw, Mr. Myer, is a very small example of Moroccan architecture, not Spanish. There is architecture in Spain that is comparable to the architecture in Morocco because Spain was subject to Islamic rule for 800 years. Therefore, when you go to Seville, Granada, or Cordoba in Spain, you will find Islamic architecture, especially Moroccan, such as the Al-Haralda Mosque, which was transformed into a church after the end of Andalusian Islamic rule. The city of Chefchaouen is one of the destinations to which Muslims took refuge when they were expelled from Andalusia, or what is known as Spain in the current era. Not only Chefchaouen, but the city of Tetouan is also considered the place of residence of Andalusians, as well as Tangier, Rabat, and Salé in particular. The architecture that you will see is Moroccan Islamic, given that Morocco ruled Andalusia. In the last centuries before the fall of Andalusia to the Spanish

In all honesty, the relationship between Morocco, Spain and Portugal is funny and a complicated historical relationship. Morocco, Spain and Portugal were under Moroccan rule for 8 centuries, and Portugal even became a republic due to the Battle of the Three Kings. There were always wars between us... and when Morocco weakened, we were colonized by them, but for intermittent and short periods... so... When you go to southern Spain and Portugal, the extent of the great Moorish influence there, especially the Moroccan architecture...

Moroccan cuisine is known for combining sweet and savoury in the same dish. That’s what makes Moroccan cuisine different ☺️ 😋😋😋 other dishes to try are Bastilla one of Morocco’s best known signature dishes. It’s essentially a chicken pie but really sweet and really savoury ☺️ It’s made with a pastry similar to filo but uses so many flavours and ingredients one wouldn’t necessarily expect to find in a chicken pie. Then there’s the Merouzia tajine and meat and prunes tajine and Chicken with deghmira tajine and the list goes on and on and on. Basically when in Morocco any day is a tajine day with limitless combinations. Enjoy your stay 😉

My brother Maher..🕊️.as a Moroccan, it is my duty to correct some things...there is no Spanish civilization in Morocco...but there are traces of occupation, and they are traces that any occupying country always leaves in the country it occupies. Everything you see in Morocco and Spain. It is an ancient relic before the fall of Andalusia. It is the civilization of Muslims in Andalusia, from science to engineering buildings and architecture. Therefore, we do not want to publish any false information... and there is no Spanish mosque... This name is impossible because Muslims do not turn churches into mosques as they do. Christians demolishing mosques or converting them into mosques is forbidden in the Islamic religion. The other matter is that the wars that Morocco witnessed from Spain and Portugal made some techniques, some methods, and images an inevitable reality so that Morocco’s resources could be easily transferred to use, and they were not at all necessary to build a civilization, as you suggest.
