The instrument is not flute. It's called tylynka - rare national wind instrument from Carpathian mountains. It has really interesting sound. Thanks from ukrainians for reaction and support!!🙂

The first woman takes the child to her mother at the shelter. The second leaves her child with the grandparents and goes to fight. The third, and most tragic, gives her child to the priest (symbolism, the child is dead) and goes to war as well, only to return and reunite with her daughter because she died as well. War sucks

@@dadwhatsfordinner yes, incredibly sad. However, if you want to not feel sad but rather pumped, with the Ukrainians and all the Russian a$$ they’re kicking, go watch YARMAK ft ALISA (animated clip). It’s a masterpiece! And it comes with subtitles

Yeah, I just want to write about scene in church, that it’s much deeper, than it look likes on the first view, but you already did it. Great job!👏
For sure this is the anthem of our war. Even now, after more than 1,5 year, when I’m listening this song my blood in veins starts boiling, after all that we have passed for this time.
Thx for comment and reaction on this video.
God bless America and Glory to Ukraine!

Oleh Psiuk (the rapper) actually wrote this the year before the full invasion, it is a song dedicated to his mother (Stefania) for her support during his wayward youth. ..
Here is a quote from Oleh -- "I once dedicated this song to my mother, and when the war broke out, the song took on a lot of new meanings. Although there is not a word about the war in the song, many people began to associate the song with mother Ukraine. Moreover, society began to call it the anthem of our war! But if Stefania is now the anthem of our war, I would like it to become the anthem of our victory."

Thanks for the additional information. The song definitely took on new meaning after the war began. Great quote.

I love that they won Eurovision and how Europe really showed their support. The music video is really hard to watch but so powerful and touching. 🇺🇦 ❤
I don't know if you know about Eurovision but it's a song contest that started in Europe in the late 50's as a way to unite Europe in music after World War II. So I find it very very fitting they won. It's a great song and like already said, it was originally written for his mom but it took on a different meaning after the war started.
If you want more Kalush Orchestra they just released a new song and video that is a collaboration with another band. These 2 bands met because they were both competing in Eurovision this year and they did a street jam together where they mashed their songs together. They did what Eurovision is meant to be, they met and exchanged music and formed a friendship even if they couldn't speak each other's languages. After that they formed this idea of doing a collaboration and this new song idea was born.
This other band is called The Rasmus, a rock band from Finland (that I happen to love). And they used their biggest hit "in the Shadows" from 2003 and mashed it with a song from Kalush Orchestra. The lyrics of the old rock song really fits with the feelings of the Ukrainians. It's a well known song, not only in Finland and Ukraine, but in all of Europe and globally as well. It's an amazing collaboration to me as I've loved the song for nearly 20 years now. And the new meaning to the song makes me shiver.
It's called "In the Shadows of Ukraine".

The group auctioned their Eurovision trophy which in terms of a glass statuette would be worth maybe £2000 but it sold for £180,000 (i may be wrong on the exact figure but it was a huge amount). the money was donated to a charity helping displaced refugees. It is unknown exactly but I believe some of the guys actually went back to fight. The UK is hosting the contest next year on Ukraines behalf and we are determind to do them proud. Its their party not ours.
