- After finding out that Ricky (Ricky Schroder) is being tormented by a bully, Edward (Joel Higgins) gets Mr. T to act as a bodyguard for him.
From Season 1, Episode 4 'Me and Mr. T' - Ricky insists on going to a public school so he can be more of a regular kid but sticks out for being rich and gets a black eye from the school bully. Determined to not let Ricky get hurt, Edward hires Mr. T as his bodyguard.

About Silver Spoons: Even though he is now running his family's multinational toy empire, Edward Stratton III (Joel Higgins) has never quite grown up. An overgrown kid, he lives in a mansion filled with arcade games and toy trains. But when he discovers that his brief marriage twelve years earlier produced a son, Edward faces the responsibilities of being a parent to the youngster, Ricky (Ricky Schroder). Springing him from the boarding school where he's been sent by his mother, Edward brings Ricky home to live at his estate. With help from his personal assistant, Kate Summers (Erin Grey), he looks to teach Ricky how to enjoy being a kid, while Ricky helps his new dad see the value in accepting full-fledged adulthood. And as Ricky stands on the brink of being a teenager, Edward begins to see Kate as more than just an employee.

Mr. T was the shiznit. One of my role models growing up. I subconsciously joined the Army because of him. Mr. T was nobody to mess with. I pity the fool!!!!
The guy playing Ox/Hobart was really busy during this time period, doing guest appearances and then his own show.
I remembered he was on Jennifer Slept Here with Ann Jillian. I was sad when that show was canceled.
Also he was in National Lampoon's Vacation, playing cousins Eddie's son.

It had a good run, lasted about 5 seasons.
All the good shows got bought out by sreaming services. Now you have to pay to see full episodes. And then you gotta wonder out of many, which paid services host which shows you wanna watch.

I wanna say you're wrong but based on the most recent events you're really not that far off. In fact, I find it interesting that the question asked, Mr T answered it with the fact that the colonists were being unfairly taxed and Ox collecting everyone's milk money is really no different than the government collecting taxes saying we have to pay them or pay the consequences.
