Nice! Yeah the micro studio camera makes sense
Nice set up. I use a Zhyuin crane S3 (focus motors for both zoom and focus) with Sony FS5M2. The Crane handles follow focus (and I would be first to admit it can be a bit hit or miss in terms of staying locked on) but output from HDMI into crane transmitter with sdi out as well gives me multiple recording options without wires and I can do SDI into a recorder/monitor and take the output from monitor into ATEM.
So livestream + native record + remote camera control = 1 man band baby!
I'm going to have to look into the ronin...
This is good.. gunna spin one up for a Siny A74.. will need a HDMI splitter.. those multi ports on the BM are boss..
I saw something like this from middlethings with a blackmagic studio camera and a hotas joystick for control
Woah! Viable pan/tilt option... multiple use outside studio... thinking about cutting micro G2 with 6kpro/G2 for portable 4 cam shoot. The dedicated pan tilts are $$ & one use... not sure I like active tracking - herky-jerk? Static talking head , say seated prob good, presenter walking or just plain hyper would drive me nuts(go wide).
Recommendation for presenter laptop to switcher & stage monitor/projector setup?
Hey, cool to see. I have the same setup but then with a Sony A6100 camera. Did you have a look at the BirdDog camera’s? They now also come with active tracking ootb.
I haven’t had a chance to play with them yet but they are definitely on the list and come highly recommended as a competitor. There will be a future video comparison for sure!
Can you please see if the micro studio shoots in flat profile please. No one has been able to answer this question for me
