Can't wait til the last of the pvpers(griefers) leave the game. PVPers are beyond delusional. Why do so many MMORPGs with PVP start pushing PVP to the wayside? BDO needs to change its progression from rates getting lower and lower and lower to upgrading gear to TET -> new zone(new gear)-> upgrading gear to TET again -> new zone new gear.
they could even tie the transitions of going from TET to a new piece of gear to dungeons or a group grind.
the way gear currently is working where % chance of success keeps going down farther and farther is not sustainable and both a new player and a Vet can see that.

Good stuff, you know what's funny? Despite all the changes in recent years - QoL and everything, they still didn't get the critique people like Morrolan gave when they quit. The core is still the same - lack of any socializing outside node wars, absurd amount of dead content, cut content, hell even bartering and whole of ocean content is irrelevant now, horrible balancing of pve content, lack of PVP rewards etc.

Yeah I've never liked the idea that pvp only happens at certain times. In other open world games everything isn't so rigidly scheduled so yes siege is time gated. If I wanna siege at any other time except Saturday night I'm screwed :P

News Flash you dont have to retain "high end players" for the game to survive. Case in Point look at Elite Dangerous. Where the ENTIRE Veteran Community left 2-5 years ago. Only the new players they have been playing the last 3-4years still play the game. Where as Vets like my self that had played for 7+ years left because Fdev refused to give us what we wanted. Updated BGS and Power Play mechanics, New ships, ship interiors. It took them 5 years to produce a single new ship and with the latest expansion disabling VR support for ground combat people just left in droves and what was once a top 50-100 ranked game on Steam fell way down in avg congruent player count. As Far as I am concerned with BDO they should disable PVP Forced Flagging on Normal Realm Channels. Its that or most new players like my self stay on Seasonal. There's few things worse other then this games Toxic AF enhancement system, then being forced to grind for hours on end only to have that nightmarish slog of shit be interupted by some fkn asshat who wants the same rotation that you have been in for the last 5hours. That shit is just so soul draining that it makes the game not worth playing. It bad enough that the drop table's are so fkd up that its not even RNG any more its time gated drop rate. Further more they should of gone farther with the Karma system where Postive Karma Players do Extra Damage to Negative you should be punished for acting like a POS you shouldn't be rewarded for being a decent person and just requesting a duel.
I think your opinions valid but I don't think the krma system needs anything more punishing than it already has. I agree some open world was toxic but that's kinda the nature of open world to begin with.
BDO playerbase is full of OGs that are only there for sunken cost , you havent been the target audience for a long time , i saw that a while ago and accepted it. Like every other content creator with these same takes , youre not wrong. Youre just talking to a wall though, pvpers and grinders have no need to spend anymore, the money comes from season passes , new player expenses , and casual rng stuff. the game youre fighting for is gone and theyre NEVER bringing it back , find peace with that in whatever way you can,

@vessel_vision I'm older man , maybe same age as you , I bought BDO in 2015 , I played warrior before awaken came out , I used to spend an absurd amount of money on lootscroll bundles lol , you remember those? I mapped with barcode , I love BDO , old BDO. Slowly, the game started to gear more towards a seasonal casual pve playstyle with capped and instances pvp being the main features and I stopped playing at 736 gs an 3k life fame. Maybe it was easier to leave because this same exact thing happened to me before in WoW , used to kick and scream about changes thinking I was in the majority , unfortunately both times I was in the minority lol. I do really hope they fix the game for the people who don't have another mmo to go to.

I feel like while we vets are a minority there still has to be an endgame at all for people to want to continue in the first place.
