¬_¬ my mother came at 5pm from work, proceeed to nap, said she didnt want anything for dinner, proceeded to ask for food at dinner time. Had to figure out cooking on my own, we didnt had internet back then.
And she knows english (at least some), wants that you learn english showing you tv programms, playing and talking with you carefully and comfy, she wants you to eat well and healthy and carries you everywhere, she lets you sleep well. With too much respect to my mother but she is the perfect mom the most part of the time
I just love how Moe makes kids friendly versions of all her dishes. I don't know about the rest of the world but this is the first video I saw this morning and what better way to start this morning than watching Sutan sit on her tiny tower and supervise her mom's cooking.
I’m a 61 year old grandmother of 2 girls, Moe-San. And yet I am humbled and inspired by the ways in which you lovingly teach Sutan, and how model patience to her. It reinforces in me that being in the moment with our loved ones is the only way to spend time with them. Arigato Gozaimasta. 🙏
Rewatched this and sutan is so cute in here, she’s just patiently waiting beside moe. Now sutan wants to do everything from the scratch in just span of 1 year. 💖 such a fast and smart baby, gentle and good parenting pays off!!
4:52.... so awesome how you always take the time to positively interact with Sutan while teaching her at the same time. My daughters see your video and they tell me how what you do reminds them of what i did with them... my daughters love being in the kitchen, and love hanging out with their mom....
This is so heartwarming. Feels like a core memory of an anime protagonist. The very thing he goes to battle for. He would think of this with tears in his eyes.
You’re so beautiful, elegant and have such a sweet demeanour. You are such a good mom, always caring for your daughter and teaching her through exploration! It truly is a pleasure to watch you 🌸
Oyakodon was my first meal when I arrived in Japan for the first time in 2015 (actually it was my second. The first one was a transit). Thank you for sharing the recipe!
I lOVE that stand Sutan has now so she can help!! 5:04 getting her to start helping now will make it so much more fun when she is older. I was like that with my daughters and now that they are older, they LOVE cooking and we have a great time in the kitchen
I cooked this recipe for dinner today and it was truly delicious! I added garlic and a little bit of ginger to the chicken for my taste. Will definitely make it again! I love how your recipes are so quick and simple. Also Sutan is just the most adorable Baby. Please keep the videos coming. Lots of love from Germany
Oyakodon is by far the best dish that anyone could ever eat in any culture in all of human history. If I saw it on a menu when I was living in Japan, that’s what I ordered. I love making it, and I’m getting closer and closer to the right taste every time!
i have never had Oyakodon before, that was absolutely delicious, I am definitely making this at least every two weeks. Thank you for showing me how to make this. Also you have a lovely home, a wonderful family, and Sutan is truly blessed to have a mother like you.
im so so pleased! i was planning on looking up how to make this recipe and then SURPRISE it's in my sub box today. Thank you for this video Moe!! :) Like always, I loved it!
Thank you so much for sharing this video! I love learning the Japanese words and meaning behind the dishes, too! I can teach my children these words while we cook your recipes! ; )
Awwww I want to eat oyakodon and gyudon so badly now! But my husband‘s stomach always gets upset when he eats eggs and onions together 😭 However, I love this channel and how much Moe cares for Sutan. Other CZcamsrs with kids seem to always focus on perfect presentation, beauty plating and stuff but this channel is all about real family life. It’s so great to see how kind and patient Moe is and that she doesn’t mind showing the gentle everyday chaos you‘re experiencing when having a toddler. Dream team! I hope Sutan will remember these happy days for the rest of her life and become a great home cook herself in the future
I have cooked oyakodon once.. I put the egg one at a time, and the egg was overcooked. But still delicious, I think Your way to cook the egg two time is better. The meat is wellblend with wellcooked egg, but also the it's still soft.. Thank you
Thank you Moe for the recipe! This dish is amazing! I just did it today and it was awesome! Never tried it before and was very surprised with the taste in a good way. I recommend it to everyone!
Hello Moe, i would like to know if you would be intrested in showing us how you cook croquettes? Ill be trying it out for myself for the first time tomarow. :)
I love these recipes because you can make it in a basic kitchen. No need for gas ranges, grills, special appliances, etc. Just a range, a pan/pot and basic ingredients.
Now that my son is 8.5 months old, he's really enjoying eating the same foods as us. This looks like a wonderful dish to try to make VERY soon! Thank you Moe and Sutan!!
Sutan is BEYOND adorable! ❤ Watching her play with the beans was soo cute! 🧸 I laughed when she bit the onion. 😛 Her hair is very cute. 🌈 I am always HAPPY when you post a video! ❤
OMG!! I have that exact same kimono!!! I bought it during my 3 weeks there and I love it! It makes me feel great to see someone as amazing as you wearing it!!
Just made this recipe, it's so delicious! Thank you for the recipe! A tip for those who want to try this: - You can make Dashi stock from shiitake mushrooms. 20 g of shiitake mushrooms per 480ml of water, submerge in cold water preferably overnight, or if you're in rush in warm water. Don't wash the mushrooms before soaking. You can also cut the mushrooms up and simmer with the chicken. Some people say any kind of broth would be good. If Kimono Mom can make a vid on Dashi and Japanese food essentials that would be great too! - While simmering, you might want to cover it for a while or the Dashi will evaporate and it'll be less watery. It's an awesome recipe and the 1 (sugar) : 2 (soy sauce) : 3 (miring) is great! It took so little time to make this, about 10 minutes (minus the Dashi part). If you eat rice dishes often, another way is to cook a lot of rice, portion and freeze. It'll be just as good once you reheat it. Now I'm off to try another one of Kimono Mom's recipe :)
Wow, this high chair was such a good idea! Seems like Sutan was fussy most of the time because she was interested and wanted to know what was going on up there ^.^ And the idea with the Edamame and the bowls as well! She just wants to contribute XD This is so cute! She will grow up already knowing how to prepare the most delicious meals ♡
Seeing Sutan helped Moe with the Mame (I don't know what's it called in English, is it snowpea?), I think Sutan can have her own show like Kobe Eats now 😆 so cute~
Sutan is very lucky to have a gorgeous mommy. She can learn how to be a good mom, a good cook, being super clean, kind and so on. Greeting you from Hungary 🇭🇺.
sutan really wanted to take a bite out of that onion 😂
i hated green beans when i was kid
Me: hey Sutan, wanna try this lemon? XD
C Chen wkwkw wkwkw
Perfect mother and daughter...so cute and loving🥰
I can't even get my kids to eat onions.... amazing!!
Imagine having mum who good at cooking and want to teach you without screaming
Wish I had her level of patience. 🙏🏼
Then they scream at you for not cooking food 🤦♀️
Japanese way, my daughter's mum screams all the time.
¬_¬ my mother came at 5pm from work, proceeed to nap, said she didnt want anything for dinner, proceeded to ask for food at dinner time.

Mommy's patience when feeding the baby 😭❤
“It’s just the beginning, it’s too early to cry” 😂😂😂😂

I cooked Oyakodon for my American host mother years ago, and I explained the origin of the name. She got a kick out of the naming.
When I cooked Oyakodon for my little sister for the first time, she was shocked at hearing about the origin of the name.
@@christiepark2496 i never learned the origin. 6 years in japan and more than many Oyakodon for lunch.
What is the meaning of the name?
@@Kagome8967 it mean parent and child
Kagome8967 as in chicken(parents) and eggs(the child).
Rewatched this and sutan is so cute in here, she’s just patiently waiting beside moe. Now sutan wants to do everything from the scratch in just span of 1 year. 💖 such a fast and smart baby, gentle and good parenting pays off!!

me too!!! :) laughing out loud with tears in my eyes!
I feel like I'll have to rewatch this..my eyes kept going to Sutan😅 she's just TOO CUTE☺️☺️☺️
She is very beautiful and kind, she is a great mom :)
Fun fact!
'Oyako' means parent and child, when translated from Japanese, which lays the idea of the don's star ingredients: chicken and egg.
I love how there is a baby version. How thoughtful
Sutan will grow up knowing how to cook. She spends so much of time watching her mother cooks :)
I confess, I'm watching the videos for Sutan, hahaha!! She is the little girl I never had. No child can be that adorable. She is a treasure.
Looks DS face when little. But better along growing up. Nicer face.
This is by far THE most adorable cooking video ever!!!! 💕 Such a cute, sweet and warm lady. Adorable. Both her and the children. ほんと可愛い 😍

Me too..
And "Moe is so beautiful!"
Sutans' ponytails are everything 💕 That looks so good. Definitely trying this.
Thank you for sharing these wonderful Japanese dishes. You are a patient, loving mom and your daughter is just adorable!
This is so heartwarming. Feels like a core memory of an anime protagonist. The very thing he goes to battle for. He would think of this with tears in his eyes.
I think this dish might be easy enough to make even I can't mess it up, looks good
I've never seen a baby put a green bean into their mouth without being forced. 😂
Yesly Rivera I was never forced to put green beans in my mouth I loved them since I was little
Brandy Taylor Same, fucking loved them. Still do.
I think that is edamame.
@@brandytaylor1986. All my little nephews, nieces, & cousins have to sit down with their parents to eat their veggies. It's funny doe.
