Pereira has power, but it's amplified by his great technique in striking, too. It's what makes him so dangerous.
It looks like Jan has more power but Periera has better straight punching technique.

It's the non telegraphed leg kicks. He flicks his legs without moving his waist /hips so the opponent does not expect it. It might not hurt as much but it will certainly bother the hell out of the opponent. Look at what he did to Israel and Sean. Those weird but effective legs are a problem

Plus it's when you have two guys that can shut each other's lights completely off it's more exciting than a fight that will most likely end in a decision.

Poatan almost got KOd in all his fights with Izzy until he actually got slept by him in the last one. Jan outstruck Izzy and then demolished Magomed on the feet, who everyone called the best striker at LHW. Jan isn't just dumb brute force, he is a sniper in his own right.

Poatan it's still one of the best strikers to ever step into the octagon and some of his most dominant victories and KOs came from the Light heavyweight division. He is a very good counter puncher and arguably one of the best boxers in the middle and light heavyweight so either way it goes he has a high chance of getting it done
Alex was doing great against Adesanya, he had to stay focused and composed, event if you rock someone you gotta be cautious and stay at a safe range to attack and counter. He was so focused on the attack, he didn't prioritize the counter and got caught. And that's what happens. If he stayed more calm like first round and watched for Izzy counter he could have also won round 2, Your Rival is never out of the fight until the threat is completely disabled. You got to stay ready for whatever comes next. All it takes is one mistake. This doesn't take from either of their legacies. Poatan will come back and address that issue, it doesn't diminish his skill and technique. Two completely different two completely different Fighters.
