A couple of years ago we all were in need of Hope. Austin Guitar Society asked us to play some music invoking hope. This was my contribution. Bach BWV1034, Andante.
Andrés Segovia, Julian Bream and David Russell are themselves guitar musicians. Of these, the one with the highest level of perfection is, of course, Russell. Russell are musicians that will be difficult to come by in the future.
At 60 now and having picked up classical guitar 6 years ago, I am even more hopeful now after listening to those kind words and your sharing of a beautiful piece. Thank you!
David, I watched you perform this at hockstein theater in Rochester in 1986 or 87. You had just transcribed the Bach flute pieces. They is truly the most beautiful of them all. I’m sure Mr. Bach is very pleased with your contribution in making this available to serious guitarist.
You're my main influence. Thank you.
