A man or a woman shouldn't have to pick a certain side between their parent and their spouse. If their spouse is in the wrong then they should have the right to be on the parent's side but if the parent is wrong then they should have the right to be in the spouse's side. I personally think it's really insensitive of Rachel's mom to expect Bryan to always take her side when she and his mother are at odds. Her dad had a specific time to call and given they did not want to alert the audience during filming Bryan just left when he left. The more important thing to notice is the questions for Eric and Peter are very surface. The family had already been prepped that Bryan was the guy. Therefore, they started driving him. Not because they didn't like him, so they could see what Rachel's reaction would be. Her brother in law gave us all the answer. He said "Rachel you have never shown emotion for anyone" but she did it for Bryan. This is a rite of passage. Rachel's family accepted him. He actual did the best thing by walking away and letting her handle it. Her dad most likely only spoke with Bryan.

I disagree actually. I think that after having a person like Peter come with a more practical approach of wanting to have the long term with Rachel but knowing that time is a factor made Bryan look so fake because the only word he could say was love when talking about the relationship. Rachel was nervous because her family was literally about to pop their bubble right in front of her. I do agree that Rachel's emotion says alot of her feelings for her but at the end of the day they really made their relationship more on the physical and it showed when Bryan could not reassure her family. Also Peter is definitely getting the Vanessa Edit. The fact that there is this make it or break it problem where both parties are at end. If Bryan won then he should be pissed. The producers said his birthday was on their first date during production, March 19th, so that would make him an emotional Pisces also. Okay, this is a Bryan-friendly thread and I am a huge Bryan fan (because I think he gives Rachel what she needs), so I hope I can get some good feedback on this: The only thing that has given me concern about Bryan is that he talks about "convincing them of how genuine" he is, or how genuine their love is. My personal experience is that people who are really genuine don't go around planning to convince people that they possess this quality. Am I making too much of this, or does this bother anyone else?
When love is new, and people who don't want to believe it, you feel compelled to try to convince. However, with due time, you ending up saying F you, we don't care what you think.
Given everyone including Rachel has challenged his sincerity, I can understand why he feels compelled to defend his feelings for her. Yes, they have been together just 9 weeks however I know and have experienced love in far less time. Time has nothing to do with love, neither does logic. There are just some people who just do it for you. It's love not lust but the non-believers are constantly challenging your judgment and truthfulness of what you feel.
I think he feels the need to defend himself (as anyone else would) is because he understands the persuasion and influence people can have on other people. No one wants someone they love or care about (especially someone closer to that person) to be in their ear about how fake or disingenuous they are. He was asked the same damn question as Peter, "tell me about your family", He said I love my mother very much, and she is the #1 woman in my love. That led to more questioning hence who will come first your mother or your wife. Ok so he decided that his wife would come first. So shut up and leave it at that, no he goes on but if they would have a conflict I would want them to work it out. That led her mother to ask another question, "so what if they can't work it out, who would be your priority?" He can't answer, he is searching for an answer, he gives a deep sigh. See, to me, Bryan is not attractive at all. I actually find his 'look', when put all together, kind of sleazy. I appreciate he has good hair and a good body, good teeth but I look at those things separately. I don't find anything else about him good looking at all. Each to their own. It's funny you say that because they have Peter's horoscope wrong. The producers said his birthday was on their first date during production, March 19th, so that would make him an emotional Pisces also. Rachel is a Taurus and they bond well with Pisces because it is an earth sign that helps ground them. Since Bryan is an Aquarius, they will have a rocky road ahead. I am an earth sign also who was married to an Aquarian man and have dated several (for some reason I attract them). They are highly intelligent and friendly, but awful at compromising, showing empathy and putting you first. He was devoted to her on the show, it'll be another thing in real life. Okay, this is a Bryan-friendly thread and I am a huge Bryan fan (because I think he gives Rachel what she needs), so I hope I can get some good feedback on this: The only thing that has given me concern about Bryan is that he talks about "convincing them of how genuine" he is, or how genuine their love is. My personal experience is that people who are really genuine don't go around planning to convince people that they possess this quality. Am I making too much of this, or does this bother anyone else?
When love is new, and people who don't want to believe it, you feel compelled to try to convince. However, with due time, you ending up saying F you, we don't care what you think.
Given everyone including Rachel has challenged his sincerity, I can understand why he feels compelled to defend his feelings for her. Yes, they have been together just 9 weeks however I know and have experienced love in far less time. Time has nothing to do with love, neither does logic. There are just some people who just do it for you. It's love not lust but the non-believers are constantly challenging your judgment and truthfulness of what you feel.

I think he feels the need to defend himself (as anyone else would) is because he understands the persuasion and influence people can have on other people. No one wants someone they love or care about (especially someone closer to that person) to be in their ear about how fake or disingenuous they are. A person can be genuine while still trying to prove themselves. It may mean they care about image but as long as it’s true, I think that’s all that matters.

Bryan brought this all on himself. He was trying to impress or should I use his words, "win them over." He was asked the same damn question as Peter, "tell me about your family", He said I love my mother very much, and she is the #1 woman in my love. That led to more questioning hence who will come first your mother or your wife. Ok so he decided that his wife would come first. So shut up and leave it at that, no he goes on but if they would have a conflict I would want them to work it out. That led her mother to ask another question, "so what if they can't work it out, who would be your priority?" He can't answer, he is searching for an answer, he gives a deep sigh. Rachel jumps to his aid and already said well he said his wife would be his priority. He looked absolutely stupid at that point. that question shredded him like pulled pork. He got a breather when Rachel's mother asked if he would like to have lunch.
After lunch the uncle asked him what qualities do you see in Rachel to make you want to marry her or to know that she is the one, something to that effect. He is stumped again. He asked to be excused from the table, what was he peeing his pants? Ha ha is this the highly education 'chiropractic physician' as he calls himself? By the way a chiropractor is not a physician. His excuse for excusing himself from the table without answering that question was that he went to talk to her dad. Why would he suddenly leave in the middle of a conversation to go talk to her dad, would her dad call him away in the middle of a conversation, I doubt that very much.
Another thing of note, he went to the table and sat down, did not pull out Rachel's chair and seat her first, did you notice that? LOL he must have been shitting in his pants.
