Harvey didn't actually catch up. When she gave in to do it herself, it reminded him of the times he did the same. Eg the time when he made a billionaire compete for a Tesla with him by talking specs. He won then after he gave the billionaire the keys and told Mike/Donna that he wouldn't have appreciated the favour of handing him the keys if he didn't feel like he never lost it or something.
that actually seems really accurate ngl. but i think it still counts as catching up even if he figured it out using personal experience

It's actually a piss off seeing what they did to his character. In season 1 and 2. He was this absolute beast of a lawyer and could out work anyone in the firm but than they decided to turn him into this idiot that could get easily manipulated by a girl scout and made him more into a comedic role which sucks.

Thats not how senior partnership works jessica can only assign 1 senior partner a year and you need certain amount of experience to become senior partner as louis and harvey are around the same age their time to become senior partner came the year the show started and jessica chose harvey for obvious reasons
