Patrick wanted to leave aswell, infact, he wanted to leave after season 6 but they convinced him to stay an extra season. So it worked out that they both left at the same time cuz the story worked out

It is so amazing how much Mike has changed through the seasons. From the unsecured slim boy he was, to the arrogant, confident, successful, broad shoulders man he became. Even his walking changed. But what didn't change was his kind heart and his love for Rachel.😅
