RD Custom Diecast - Hot Wheels Axle Alignment Jig (Challenge Announcement ). Rodney over @rdcustomdiecast has issued a challenge for the 18th of June. We are building 83' Chevy Hot Wheels painted up like actual trucks we've owned in the past. He sent me this cool Axle Alignment tool as a bonus gift and in today's video I wanted to try it out and see if it works!

An idea for a van rebuild : the Wyld Stallyns van from Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.
I certainly did not expect this. Many thanks. Also great feedback as we’re always looking for improvements I have given away more than I have sold just in hopes to get feedback the good bad and ugly. Your right those new band we recently picked up from Walmart are a bit thick I have a huge bag on way from Amazon hope they are more appropriate.
Also looking forward to the build the 18th will be here fast. Have a great week.
Thanks for the jig brother! I love it, going to try use it for every build.
Cant wait to get one of these much needed have a link to whre i could get one newer in restoring and customs myself still trying to build up my media presence before postings
@@xXPARIAHXx902 there is a link in all my videos in the video about section
It looks like it needs more slots in the middle for shorter chassis. maybe have slots all along the base?
Happy Friday! Just a quick video today on this sweet Axle Tool Rodney sent in, I'll be back on Sunday and we are going to do some flames on a 1:32 Mustang. It should be intense.. Have a great weekend guys! 🍻🍻🍗🍗 Go say hello to Rodney here at RD Custom Diecast - czcams.com/channels/s5-D6MwOdb5f7yw0u3gdKA.html
Hope you have an amazing 2023 we miss you and your builds
Innovation! Simple slick idea. Don't forget to leave room in the back of the Chevy for a couple of sticks, equipment bag and a two four!
Thanks for the infomercial…this device can be a huge help. Thanks for sharing
The jig is up!
Very cool thanks Lee
Great looking tool. Being able to check the fit with the tires seems like a great feature. Thanks for the review.
That’s a great idea. Why didn’t I think of that. That was my Flugalbinder. Lol!!
We use these in diecast down hill racing, alignment is crucial for fast times.
👍 Thx 🇧🇪.
Place the supplied rubber bands around the middle first to create the non-slip surface
Good idea I have some anti-slip mat that i probably will start including
Wow! What a great idea!
Good deal! Use dental rubber bands, like for braces! They are cheep to find on ebay, a bag of various sizes cost me a couple dollars!
Omg you got one of Rodney's jigs this is awesome. I have one as well comes in handy for wheel swaps 😀
Thank you Naz keep an eye out for the 18th for the Silverado build cant wait
Super excited for this challenge, I just know you're gonna make something awesome
I built the same jig out of junk around the house and 2 rubber bands. Free. :) Thinner rubber bands work better IMHO. I also glued foam rubber on the base like you mentioned.
Definitely need this!
The piece missing on the jig is the ability to hold the chassis square to the jig so your axles can be square with the chassis...
for the rubber on the top. cut a rubber band and glue them into place
Amazing ❤️👍👍🤣🛎🛎
Very nice work bro
Sweet
That’s pretty neat!
Great video
Damn and after I went through all the trouble of building a scale alignment rack for my shop.
In a kind of related note I found a channel with a mechanic who works on real cars and it's like you two are brothers. Same laid back attitude both have your little noises you make a you work. You almost sound alike which is a bit strange you up in Canada he's in Florida. His Channel is Rainman Ray's Repairs if anyone wants to check it out and see the resemblance.
Cool video I need one they look cool
Cool item!
Do you have a separate video where you show how you do your axles/tubes?
I have a diecast GTO Pontiac when I first bought it the bottom piece was loose
was trying to find part for it
Would you have to worry about the axles bending from the force of the elastics? (Assuming you can't find skinnier rubber bands)
Cool idea! 👍
I think it's going to be a real time saver! Do you guys customize over there?
@@DiecastResurrection In the past, but mainly for speed.
What size and where do you get the axle tubes? Can you add a link to your supply Amazon page?
I've been told that comments help with the CZcams algorithm. 😁
I like soup
Turtle soup?
@@captainsergeant I like turtles too!
Where do you get your wheels from? I see the redline ones you linked on Amazon. But, you have others I would like to find.
What if instead of such long rubber bands you used shorter ones that had something like paperclips or even better lure clips at their ends. A miniature bungee cord of sorts.
Great idea
what's the program to design your decals.
I use Photoshop and then Illustrator just to shink them and print.
🤦🏾♂️
I have a small box of matchbox cars I want to send you can I get a pic box number so I can send them
Sure, email me at diecastresurrection@outlook.com
If you're a builder why would you need this....? Alien Diecast.
