For counterbalance, they made him one of the most sympathetic characters in the series.
Buried under the temple, where Heihachi supposedly kept him alive for 15 years till he died of starvation, and then an evil spirit possesses him and creates the King of the Iron Fist tournament for that year just so someone can kill him
.......
Poor dude
@@momomoore379 Yeah, hard to imagine that the mishima zaibatsu was pretty chill before heihachi took over
@@momomoore379
Yep. Importantly, the imprisonment happens 3 years after Heihachi killed his wife.
That tells us a lot about what happened between father and son in that time.
I've went to a friend's house, and noticed a lot of his ps2 controllers were messed up. Like one has a missing a joystick, others were missing buttons, some were just straight up smashed. Talking about seven broken controllers. I asked "what the hell happened?". And the words he told me I always remember to this day. "Fucking jinpachi man". Lol I cracked up.
Underrated comment.
@thegoodstuff3148 oh and 2 ps2's as well lol. This was back in high-school, so around 2007.
@thegoodstuff3148 well yes. Very much so.
Villain origin story
That man went on to become the joker
Lol I like how he just kept pulling out new shit to surprise Max with. He was like “oh have I shown you this cool shit yet?”.
I know, right? Some of what he did, I never even saw before... not even on the PSP version.
Surprised he didn't do that grab that drains like a third of your health. He would do that a lot to recover health right after stunning you.
Jinpachi: allow me to show you my moves list [unfurls the ancient scroll]
He is also the progenitor of ki-charging you after kicking your arse LMAO
@@ProxyDoug
He actually did that a few times but it didnt hit Max
New Boss Rage?! It feels like its been a million years since the last one. ‘Bout time :D
True
not as intense as previous boss rages but still good
Need more boss rage
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Superfacts
I like how the editor is throwing in slow-mo zoom in shots like T7. Really adds to the cinematics of this Boss Rage.
Wasn't expecting a Boss Rage to kick off 2023, but I'm here for it.
We need more boss rage
Max: I jumped on accident!
Jinpachi: And I grabbed you on purpose!
Major props to Jorge for the Tekken 7 style slo-mo's.
Also the crunchy bone sfx
Agreed. Editing was sublime
From a meta and lore sense, I do love that Jinpachi, being the patriarch of the Mishima Clan, is busted as hell.
Heihachi was in his prime when he defeated and imprisoned him. He HAD to be.
“It Has To Be This Way” blasting in the background while he’s fighting Jinpachi is perfect lmao
The one move that Jinpachi did that always made me mad was the one where he steals health from you. As well as the multiple fireballs. If you get hit by those, you're done.
I was waiting to see Max's reaction to that. I wonder if it's not on Dark Resurrection.
My strategy with him as always been circling around him constantly so you move out of the way of those dumb fireballs. Then quick rush in for a few hits before backing off again.
Lol yeah the 3 moves that really pissed me of was
1. The Fireballs.
2. Health Stealing
3. Stun attack that sets you up for more free hits.
@@FadedLee_27
Well, the fireballs are easy to sidestep, so it’s really just the continuous or multiples. Also, the stun attacks breaks guard.
I beat Jinpachi on an arcade cabinet a few years ago at a boardwalk arcade. A few of the staff members gathered around to watch me do it. Took awhile, but was worth it!
This was a fun stream to watch. Max slowly figuring out how the boss works is fascinating. And the ending is ironic when he does beat Jinpachi!
I need to look up Ironic Irony Ironically leaves me.
13:55 is for sure the best moment of the video.
Max + Tekken = instant classic
I don't write the rules
@@TheLurkerAtTheThreshold and so do I, say goodbye!
Oh snap throwback! Lmao I remember how much Jinpachi used to annoy the shit out of me. Honestly though once you get good at the game he’s fine outside of the little annoying stomp move that cancels everything.
I also REALLY hated how they didn’t carry Devil Jin’s ending into Tekken 6 lol.
It implied that Diablo Jim destroyed the whole world after a simple flap of his wings, how were they going to continue from there?
@@hoodedstreetmonk352The world doesn’t blow up. Devil Jin just transforms into a stronger form and then the scene ends with him roaring. Super Devil Jin could have been the final boss of Tekken 6 or something. I mean we got a Super Devil Kazuya at the end of Tekken 7 so it’s not so far fetched
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
@@Deemo202 The world didn't explode but Devil Jin still destroyed the nearby area just by flapping his wings.
You can't expect there to be a world remaining after Devil Jin becomes even stronger.
Always great to see another boss rage time for hype and anger. Jesus the amount of times Max gets perfected plus devil jin vs this satanic version of jinpachi is sick as hell (pun not intended).
Boss Rage is gonna hit different without the Dog of Hype. Miss you everyday, Benny ❤️
Why, is he dead?
@@liamroberts1458 Yeah benny passed about a year ago R.I.P the little buddy
He passed away in December
mmmmmmm
@@mychaeljones7526 he will receive the biggest bone in heaven!
We may have lost a lot getting here, but finally Boss Rage returns with another legend.
That Jinpachi boss was peak comedy. Not Max's reaction to it, just the boss itself, it was like Wrestle Mania with a volcano demon.
10:07
So that evil spirit that resurrect Jinpachi wasn't the Devil Gene, it was Nanomachines!
11:58 he is not going to Sugar coat it.
I have never found any Tekken boss hard, but jinpachi is the closest to an snk boss Tekken has ever had.
Snk bosses are just next level hard.
Unknown (TT2) is also hard as hell..
From what i've heard, kazuya/ devil from the tekken 2 arcade is pretty much just a snk boss. He just waits for you to do something and interrupts it with twin pistons/ electric into a 60% combo
Nah bro, it's Devil Kazuya on Tekken 2 arcade reading your inputs frame perfectly
I assume you didn't fight Shin Akuma on 10 star difficulty in T7 or Azazel in T6
The scariest thing about jinpachi is if you let him charge his fireball attack long enough and just like Jack with his wind up punch you can get one shoted
Also the metal gear rising music in the battle against him was a nice touch
Max definitely did NOT sugarcoat it
Jinpachi is a heaviest challenge in the Ultra Hard, but fighting against Azazel (Tekken 6) is the true hell, I tried to beat both in the same day, and Azazel took me a lot of time to beat it in Ultra Hard, Jinpachi for the other side just looked like a park walk because the main reason, is that you can't see if Azazel is blocking your high/mid attacks or low, he just block them. Very great Boss Rage! I hope we can see soon the Boss Rage of Tekken 6.
The real challenge is beating nancy in ultra hard mode
Because you have one chance to beat him.
Azazel was my last straw for Tekken 6 lol
azazel has built-in armor, in order to attack him you have to counter-hit him
Azazel was kinda bullshit. I wonder if those even compare to Night Terror in SC3.
Cmon man, Azazel is easy compared to jinpachi.
For Azazel all you need is to counter hit him. Bait him into a whiff or if your character has good ch tools use them.
11:25 Air grab leads to face of horror
Yes Boss rage let's go. Jinpachi was a very difficult boss when i fought him when i was a little kid i could only beat him with a few characters, man those Tekken 5 days were legendary.
Jinpachi was the second final boss in the Tekken series to give me so much trouble, with the first being Heihachi(from Tekken 1) of course. Even Devil, Ogre, and Unknown weren't this tough!
Honestly, I much as I love Ogre, I always felt he was the easiest final boss by a mile. Many times I fought him almost felt too easy. I think Unknown would be the second easiest, but I also played a ton of TAG and knew that boss inside and out.
The rest… yeah, they can get a little crazy. I still say Azazel is the most BS of them all.
Jun/Unknown in Tekken Tag 2 _pre-patch._
Kazuya on Arcade was way worse, what you talking about 💀
@@destructo3457 Which Kazuya do you mean, from Tekken 2? I didn't find him (or Devil/Angel) to be that tough. Especially not in comparison to Jinpachi or Azazel.
@@rcblazer He is, the console version just spams 10 hit combos, but the Arcade one is awful
Jorge killed it with the editing! Love this boss rage!
Yeah Jinpachi is pretty crazy, but really you ust have to wait for him to get through his animations that leave him wide open and beat the hell out of him when they come up. Otherwise, yeah, fireballs up the wazoo, teleport uppercuts, and that dreaded stun block punch will be your doom every single time. I'm glad Max didn't get bear hugged a lot where, if it hits, Jinpachi steals your life away. Nice job, Max! 😊
2023 blessing us with a brand new Boss Rage! Time for some badass Tekken 5 music!
Man, the infrequent ki-charging upon winning from Jinpachi is annoying the hell out of me, and I'm not even the one who's playing.
GG Max, the video was a blast to watch!
The editing in this video is amazing, loved every second of it
10:04 - It's nice to hear this song in relation to a final boss that isn't the kind of total low tier bitch that even Yamcha would wipe the floor with.....
Watching this makes me wanna boot up my PSP (after charging it back up) and play this again. Good times...
Jinpachi made me realize what rage was as a teen. I literally never thought I could find such hatred for something like him.
Boss Rage? Returning? LET'S GO!
What's crazy is how well this game still holds up
Editing really popped off in this one
To Jorge who edited this video: You did a good job editing this one but one criticism is that I would've much preferred having the actual final boss music playing over top the fight.
Now THIS is a trip down memory lane.
Thanks, Max! Tekken 5 was my very first Tekken game. 😁
Jinpachi is an absolute menace in this game. Glad to see my memories in one video thanks to you Max!👍
Tekken 7 Boss Rage is my favorite vid on this channel, so I’m especially looking forward to this!
Man, there’s a lot of love going around lately for Tekken 5 DR. I keep seeing so many videos popping up from various Tekken CZcams channels. I think the consciousness is low key shifting towards what old school
Tekken brought to the table. Simpler is better, and the older Tekken’s brought a lot of passion and originality. Especially in the soundtrack damn, I forgot how good DR soundtrack was.
I love the editing in this Boss Rage, the music used was really good and max's reactions are great as always. Another W video!
These edits were fantastic! Thanks for the video, Max and Jorge.
This man ate my 5th grade summer like it was nothing and then with the main man Marshall Law, I learned dreams can come true
This is a nice start for a new saga for BOSS RAGE videos.
Wonder if Rugal is still planned for the future as you mentioned before Max :D
The nostalgic feel of Tekken 5 will always be considered the best in the early 2000s. Now Max doing Boss rage mode on this game, let the pain begin in three.. two.. one. 1:29 Max: "I set it to the hardest difficulty ever. It can't be that bad right?.. right! Chat!"
A few moments later.
Max, channeling his in Kratos: "Curse you to the viles pits of Tartarus, Jinpachi."
Tekken 5 is probably still my favorite Tekken next to 7! Jinpachi is still an absolute nightmare so seeing Max boss rage him was great! Lots of fun seeing it live and the edit makes it even better!
Great episode! I’d love to see you try a Boss Rage on Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories. That game’s final gauntlet is infamous for how cheap it gets, especially without any checkpoints.
10:50 was that a 100% combo!?
Sorry for late af reply, Yes it is, as Jinpachi can do that move even on ground characters, makigg them stand up and have the paralyzed effect, in which can ultimately kill you, its unblockable aswell, so nothing you can do.
@@ElKenshitou In fact, this move allows a shitload of infinites (and from any knockdown too ☠️)
Move Literally designed to eat quarters
Lol the ultra-instinct que at 4:51 made me spit out my drink
I love this series!! Remember watching these back to back many yrs ago
Jorge with the amazing sound effects on hits and misses on this vid. Love to see it. Good job man.
The annoying part of this fight to me was the random armor here gets on his attacks at very convenient times. Yet in other instances, the same attack does not get armor at all! Kinda throws away the strategy part and we all sort of cheese our way through lol. Fun times!
Awesome vid Max and Jorge! Those T7 slow-mos are a nice touch and really feels like something that belongs to Tekken now.
Cool, new year and there’s already a Boss Rage. LET’S GOOOOO!
Love the boss rages, the editing in this makes it that much more entertaining!
The editing in these Boss Rage videos are always the best! So hype!
This came at the perfect time. I'm feeling pretty low, so this will cheer me up!💪🏿🔥
Perfect soundtrack during the jinpachi fight 10/10
Man, it's been so long and this feels so good to get back to the sort of content I originally subscribed to this channel for.
Seeing a boss rage with max's current style of editing is everything i expected. I love this video
14:59 I should try that line in our next family meeting
Sorry great grandpa
Those edits were Epic! Good job on the video.
Ah man, always loved watching the boss rages, awesome to see him upload another.
This game gives me a lot of nostalgia playing on the Playstation portable. Me and my friends use to take turns in class to see how far we can get on the highest difficulty in arcade mode haha
Awesome video!
honestly love the editing in this video
F1rts...
The intro of Tekken 5 is sick.
Hi Max,
I found your channel a few years ago and I'm glad I did. You make fighting games easy to understand for a noob like me, and I love that you're an FF fan like myself. I enjoy your humor and humility you bring to the table. It's refreshing to not watch a toxic youtuber, so thank you for that. I hope you have a good day Dood and keep making great content!
you know what, I watched you for a brief time Max and you make me feel like being a good player and dealing with loss are two possible things and one doesn't mean you"ll ever be possible of defeat or failing in a boss/mission. The level of gameplay is super smooth, cool. You still fail eventually, and it's ok. Cause you come back again. You give some old video games vibe of doing this, just hammering your way into the boss until eventually you find your goal and also enjoying the process, not beating yourself because of the beatings you take.
Jinpachi is insane no matter which version of T5 you play. Azazel is also ridiculous, but he's super jugglable. Jinpachi? Nah. Eat this paralysis into a fireball
The Ultra Instinct edits against Devil Jin were the best! Haha, nice to see a new Boss Rage! ✌🏼
4:42 8:57 9:11
It has been Years and Years of waiting for this moment max
New sub, longtime viewer - this was amazing. Fantastic editing!
I literally spoke about this yesterday, talking about how hard of a boss Jinpachi was when I was a kid and now this video comes out. Did the universe hear me?
Wow, I’d never thought I’d live to see the day of Max playing Devil Jin, let alone on a boss rage. Then again, I thought the same thing about Vergil…🤔
Surprised you didn't use the t5 dr soundtrack for the video, it's really good
Seeing the thumbnail just made my day! Thank you Max you’re a fucking legend
Lmfao this was a fun watch. Now I wanna see Max do the Devil Within. As someone who is not great at fighting games, I do in joy watching people play them. A friend of mine told me to play Devil Within and I spent like 8 hours trying to beat it and finally after being hard stuck vs true ogre for 2 and a half hours I beat him and unlocked Devil Jin. That was true pain never again and funny enough it was only on normal mode lmao imagine max.
If you play it on medium or higher you can input a code to get infinite devil Jin in devil within. The red bar was to use the eye laser and you still retained the strength boost
The editing is strong in this one!
I love how he used the original Tekken 7 character select screen music to start off with
i recall i first ever subbed because i liked the idea of Boss Rage, then they were not nearly as frequent as i expected.
still stayed subbed because Max is too awesome.
The editing is soooo good. Hype DBZ shit. Love it
6:27 Ah yes, the highly effective,"WHY I OUGHTA-!!" charge; I remember spamming it with Lei Wulong after doing one of his throws that puts a lot of distance between you and the opponent when fighting Jinpachi lmao
dude i been waiting for more boss rage . and now my day has been save Thanks Max
I've been waiting for this since I started watching max
Hearing the little sneaker screeches every time an ankle is broken really got me good. Amazing editing on this, whoever did it.
11:49 what?!?!
BRO I JUST COMMENTED ON YOUR TIKTOK THAT I LOVE BOSS RAGE AND YOU GRACE ME WITH THIS
YOU RULE DUDE
This brings back a whole lot of memories. Played this in my PSP back in those days with my friends. Those were the days man 😭
One of the greatest fighting games of all time 🤣
Also couldn't get over Jinpachi's Butterfly Handle Burning Pile-driver
Damn, it's been a long time since we had a proper boss rage
Videos like these are always my favorite
"NO HORNS!"
//horns immediately restored
The editing is great haha
BOSS RAGE ON T5:DR LETS GOOOOOOOO!!!! Can't wait for max to do a boss rage on Azazel for T6.
Didn't expect it lol
why does the game look so good?
Omg that intro music got me nodding my head especially that Beat drop
