I've been making this for 50 years. The butter should be melted in the baking dish. Very impotant: pour the mixture into the melted butter. DO NOT STIR IT AFTER YOU PUT IT INTO THE BUTTER!!!! The difference is very noticable. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until a knife inserted comes outclean. Let set 30-40 minutrs. Serve.
somebody bring corn casserole to church dinners. always gone first thing. so if you are not first in line . you miss need to wait next dinner or make your own corn casserole

Let it sit before you bake for 10 min. Let sour cream to work with baking soda/powder in Jiffy mix.
