Too bad the audio is so poor. This is an incredible performance. Hoping that some of professionally recorded live material from the 1970 european tour will be released some day.
Are we sure that Jack Bruce is not on here?? I keep hearing bass things starting at 3:14 and continuing. that could be John M but Im thinking its Jack.. Any one know?
dr benway This is Nov 1969, so Jack hadn't joined Lifetime yet. Larry could play bass lines on that hammond that would make you believe a bassist is playing.
Larry Young left hand and feet on the organ pedals. Listen to Larry on "Spectrum" from the album EMERGENCY is you want to hear some smoking bass lines at racehorse tempo, as he continues to comp chordally. A very special musician, who had a great rapport with guitarist McLaughlin.
What can you say except, Excellent!
