- I couldn't resist the pun so I thought I'd just throw this one out there today and amend the title later! Lovely to get this example if only for the figures!
The old corgi boxes are so beautiful and the toys well made. Such a contrast to the toys of today.
The plus point for them here would have been all the artwork produced for the film / TV series, of course...
I had of these when I was in nursery (83/84). I remember the little Buck figure, but not Tweekie, which I probably lost in the garden. LWT wouldn't repeat it for a few years, so I had no idea who it was. He was just "motorcycle man with a gun" to me.
Would you believe, my earliest memories of a Starfighter also date back to nursery and for some reason I remember getting sand from a sandpit into it and gumming up the wing mechanism! What are the odds!
Pretty sure the wires holding it in the box are not original so I think you are safe to remove it for display.
Also I would strongly recommend flattening the box and insert and piling some books on them for a month or two, it would come out very nicely I think
