Yakuza Zero Real Life Comparison - Kamurocho

- čas přidán 4. 05. 2017
- Yakuza Zero's world is heavily inspired by real life locales. Here I showcase the similarities and real life areas that Kamurocho is based off.
If you haven't heard of this game, check it out! It's about the closest thing we have to a 'Japan simulator', albeit with a Yakuza focus. Lot's of great 'slice of life' mini games however, and it would be extremely nostalgic for anyone with a history in Japan. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Did they give you pocket tissues
They did every time I was there.
NOOOOOOO I DONT WANT YOUR POCKET TISSUES
I Honestly don't know why they're giving out tissues, neither do i know the purpose of the tissues
@@inferno7997 well japan irl is usually a really clean country so i assume thats why
@@inferno7997 it's their way of spreading pamphlet. I'm not sure if it is illegal to spread ones, tho. They usually have whatever company / business on its pack, and the tissue quality is usually very low. But it's good enough for wiping your butt or spillage. And it's not wasteful like normal paper-print pamphlet!
tfw when I know the Kamurocho streets better than the ones in my own neighbourhood.
Honestly same
When you're not American but able to navigate through some of its famous city because you religiously play GTA
@@cypherusuh GTA 4 is the only game with the area somewhat resembling the real world. You’d get lost on the streets though, although the neighborhood placement is mostly spot on.
Yes.. I can find my way around kabukicho on my first trip there, due to yakuza games..
Totally accurate mapping
And osaka "sotenbori" as well.. Just like the real dotonbori
Imagine you walking and you see majima goro lol
KIRYU-CHAN!!!!!
I would asked for majima nii-san signature
@@magicplayer84 *Punch sound*
@@FPSpwned hahaha
*Flirt With Bomb intensifies*
Holy shit they made Yakuza in real life
holy shit Don Quixote is an actual shop
The majority of shop's and things you can buy in yakuza are actual shops and items in japan. It's a kind of product placement that's actually somewhat natural.
I started to think it was seeing that they sold 7-Up and Mountain Dew in game.
dollar store
Not only that, but the Don Quijote theme song that plays on loop in the store is real as well. And the alcoholic drinks in the bars are all real brands like Suntory and Yebisu Premium Malt.
but do the energy drinks they sell work irl too?
that's the medical anomaly i need to know
Ah yes, the legendary childrens park 3.
A lot of things happened in there
@@BiggieSmokes187 fr fr
So, how many times did people walked up to punch you? And did you get shaken down? XD
I kidd, great vid.
SSJBen haha
did u sing 24 hour cinderella
Welcome to Kabukicho. We don't destroy other people's bikes.
Imagine going there and find Mr.Shakedown sleeping in the floor
Or find Kiryu and Goromi fighting
I went to tokyo 3 years ago, and I couldnt find the toilet with the secret entrance.
But I did get punched on the street though (for real) , exactly in that place
why did they punch you
Courier gotta be like kiryu if you want to survive in the wild tokyo
Hahahaha they try to scam u??
You were getting shaken down
That's what you get for visiting Tokyo 3 during an Angel attack.
I kept being bamboozled by the transitions between RL and Game counterpart lol
It's so nice
4:17 yay, Mexico!
comparing Yakuza 0's 1980's Kamurocho to modern day Kabukicho isn't really fair.
The city lay out has changed a lot after all
Didn’t he say in the video he is aware of this?
The city massively redeveloped from 1989 to 1999
Holy shit accelerator
Then why don't you fucking time travel back and let us know 😇
Jebus, this is insane. Really love how well you made the similarities between reality and in game. Angles are in great views. I, too felt super nostalgic of familiar landscapes and convenience stores when I started playing.
kabukicho has not been the "scary place" for like 15 years. so when you went you went through the sanitized and tourist friendly version of what once was a underworld hotbed, the tokyo governor in the early 2000s cleaned up most of it and kicked the underworld out
Yup. That’s why Yakuza 0 and Judgement have drastically different looking Kabukicho’s.
So what would be the current underworld hotbed in Japan today?
@@oyveyshalom well, from my personal experience areas in roppongi had some very f'd up criminal shit going on like human traficking and a lot of heavy drug dealing. i wouldn't trust japan's crime figures that include everything like pickpocket stuff and heavy crime in a single statistic. that's not on the same level as forced prostitution, kidnappings, extortion, of tourists especially.
@@xPostpunk What do you mean by that? I mean judgement is set like 30 years after 0 no?
This also applies on yakuza lore as the story progresses
This is fucking incredible. I really hope to go here some day, I would actually cry tho
The only thing they're missing is Mr. Libido
Who knows, the maker didn't watch some AV rental to encounter him
and Majima
I went to this place about 3 years ago or so but I didn't stay around for long.
It was glorious to know that I've visited where the dragon belongs once in my life, even if I did not realized it immediately.
Great video.
Great video, I can't wait to visit!
Nice video, thanks, i've always wondered if it was a pedestrian area for real or game purpose only
Kiryu-chan was hiding from Majima during the video :(
nah Majima was waiting in a garbage bin
Finally am going to Japan in June this video makes feel even more hyped to see Kabukicho in real life. For now I'll carrying on playing Kiwami and then 6 in April which will cover me up till June when I finally go to Japan.
StormRider2 how was it?
3:00 Me and my friend literally got lost at that parking lot, no matter where we tried to go to find the train station we ended up standing there xD
You mean irl or in the game?😅
Awesome video!!
Cool video, just finished Yakuza 0, and was looking for something like this :)
thanks for this video im hyped on how you know its a replica of kabukicho!!!
cant wait for 6 western
Excellent video.
I know you already did Tokyo and Osaka, but can you also see other locations explored in the Yakuza series, like Okinawa, Fukuoka, Sapporo, etc and see how they stack up against their real life counterparts?
does throwing money in kabukicho works just like in the video game?
Try it. I dare you lol
Can you afford throwing 100,000 yen
@@Noirenoe Yen is cheap.
🤣🤣🤣😂 nice one
@@meowmeow3778 yes but only for usd man not for us asians I'm from india yen is cheaper than our currency but still not that much.
All yakuza games are awesome👍 one of the best gameseries ever made
If an officer asks to search you for any dangerous items, hand over pocket tissues instead
2:00 i saw those tents in judgment lol
Now that 6 and Kiwami 2 came out in the west, are you going to make another comparison?
The Millennium Tower stands in the same spot as the real life Shinjuku Toho Building, which is basically the same thing but 30 floors shorter (still pretty tall)
The Millenium tower is Mori tower in Roppongi!
I miss my apaato. I love that I can get around kamurocho without a map.
Hey nice video! Are you working on a Yakuza 6 Kamurocho vs Kabukicho?
Amazing game, amazing video.
dude its been so long momobird
I'd love to visit this place.
I'm fascinated
I moved to Tokyo ~3 yrs before I played my first yakuza game and I lost it when I realized that one of my favourite Chinese restaurant is, in-game, EXACTLY where it was before it moved somewhere else, even though it wasn’t even a visitable shop.
I wanna visit this place someday lmao
4:21 LOOKS LIKE THE DOJO IN Sotenbori on yakuza 0 lol
Imagine if you just strolling and see mr shakedown
Nice work man!
When I visited Tokyo we stayed at a hotel for 3 days in Kabukicho. We must hace spent at least a whole day walking around Kabukicho at all hours of the day. When I opened Yakuza 0 for the first time I was dumbstruck.
I'd love to walk down the street, but I'm afraid I can't win against even one of Dojima's men.
Gonna do an update and compare it to 7's Sotenbori and Kamurocho since that's based on 2019?
You can see Dora the Explorer on the left at 4:27
if you're going to do a Kamurocho real life comparison, why not use a more modern day Kamurocho like Yakuza 5 instead of using Yakuza 0 which takes place in the 80s?
I think it's still interesting to see a comparison between the two as it retains a lot of the visual elements. Yakuza 5 also came out quite a long time ago now - like I said in the video, I mean to do a modern day comparison with 6 as well :)
Kiwami
Yeah you should do a comparison with yakuza kiwami.
Because Yakuza 0 & Kiwami are the most emblematic games of the serie so stop crying like a btch...
@@AxelPLUSYotsu It was a simple question. No one's crying but you, dude.
Is there actually a Millennium Tower-esque building in real life? I swear I saw it in a video once.
I have been to Japan just two weeks ago and missed this district completely. I guess Tokio would have been a much nicer stay when i would knew about this. Thank you for the comparison! I will check out the game then :)
Yes, I visited there in march was amazing.
You should compare to Yakuza 6 since it's the closes thing as we get in Modern Days
Wait but do you get into random fights a lot because I kinda wanna go there if so
the serena bar building or the stardust club exist?
super video
I played on Xbox One and is amazing
I came to visit and had a great time, but when i went to leave It was like i walked smack into a wall you can't see. every few blocks in any direction I hit these walls, i've been unable to leave for a week. somebody please send help, i am scared.
nice
Now find an ex yakuza fighting a giant man
imagine you're visiting this place and just see someone goin to hide into the trashcan
Hope you can see Goro or Kiryu at one stop xd
wait. I was just there lol
4:45 Oh hey its America
Me sprinting around in kamurocho in the game to get to a destination quicker but the NPC’s aren’t even looking at me or surprised meanwhile in irl…….. 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
You couldnt get to purgatory, serena, stardust, miretta, any of the hostess clubs to win the ladies with 15 ❤'s, try to get area at the milleum tower even though you need a code?
I would like to go to Kamurocho, but I'm afraid mr. Shakedown fucking takes all the money I'm saving for doom eternal
Wait maxi tune in sega arcade :v
Where's Mr Shakedown
gomenasociety kiryu-chan 6:05
But where is the empty lot
Doesn't exist, empty lot Is for plot only
So yakuza truly is japan simulator
Been there once. No wonder it felt kinda familiar lol
Holy shit, they made Japan from the Yakuza series into a real thing?
Too bad Kiryu is not there anymore, but maybe you can find the Footsteps of the Dragon B)
How is it compared with Judgment
How u can walk so peacefully? Where the thugs, yakuza, and some annoying guy who want to punch u?
I found majima in real life tokyo, he stabbed me
Shouldn't a better comparison between Yakuza 6 and this? As Zero is based in the past...
How about sky finance
was the tamiya shop a lie?
Tamiya as in scale modelling? Wait, there was a Tamiya shop in Yakuza game?!
@@user-th6kb1qd5b model cars are called tamiya here
Do yakuza 6
Show me the empty lot 😄
へー、凄いやん
ももこんなのも作るんじゃね(笑)
Do sleeping dogs
west park isnt real :(
龍が如くやん
yakuza is probably the only game on portrait japan as it is without anime bullshit
What about the big landmark millennial tower
West park is based off of Toyama park, and the homeless camps and purgatory in my opinion are representative of Toyama park’s connection with immeasurable human suffering. Toyama park was once the sight of a military academy where it is said that unit 731 would frequently dissect and dump bodies. To this day bones and personal possessions raise from the mud. Some say that at night they can hear disembodied screams of the victims.
Comparing a japanese freeroam game to cod and fifa? the hell?
I dont like this map at all in the game its too small
They copied yakuza wtf
Maybe you should spend the money you wasted on the plane ticket for an actual microphone
weirddddddddddddddddd guy............
