My issue with religious arguments is when each believer takes out their book, whatever they choose to call it, and use that as a tool to debate! How do you use a book written by your fellow believers, which obviously will never oppose the beliefs it seeks to spread and entrench! It’s a flawed manner of debate as far as I’m concerned because we will never get to the truth if we argue with books that favor what we believe, why would you think the teachings of your book is superior to mine? All ‘gods’ want their followers to believe they are the only god! I mean why would the Bible disagree with the teachings of Christianity? So quoting the Bible for someone who doesn’t believe in the Bible to start with and using it as evidence is like using inadmissible evidence because the other side can simply say well, I don’t believe in that book get something else that supports that book, how it came into existence and whether it’s stories and teachings are true!!! Like I said, of course the Bible would say God said ‘I am God, your God and do not serve any other god but me’, reading that to me is no evidence of the existence of God to an average non-believer! And I’m not here arguing the existence or not of God in Christian context, I’m merely pointing out that you can’t tell me not to respect and serve other Gods and when I ask you why you tell me the Bible says so, what if I don’t believe in the Bible…what if I ask you how you know God wrote that. Pastor here says that is what God himself said, who did God tell? He removed his people from Egypt, how is that related to me in SA, does it mean I have ancestors in Israel? Egypt actually exists as a country and it was a Black Country and there is evidence that pyramids were built already before the Arabs arrived because there is evidence of Black pharaohs of Kush who ruled the Egypt-Nubian empire; which then begs the question, which pharaoh held Israelites captive? Do the Egyptian descendants of this pharaoh have any business being Christian? It appears they clearly were not Christian at the time…! You can’t use the Bible to back these arguments because the Bible is meant to only keep people in check! I could have used any religion so a thoughtful polite answer to some of ‘my’ stupid questions will go a long way in enlightening those in doubt and not the usual ‘you’ll burn in hell’ scare tactics used when one can’t admit they don’t have answers to such questions!!!
Maybe you believe science. It's a maybe!!!. Genesis says on day 6 man was created. This happened after everything else was created. Now let us shoot straight to science...minerals found on a human being are 102 the same amount found in nature. You have gold iron silver phosphorus salts etc in you exactly the way God told us in Genesis. There is more in nature that speaks back to God. You have to obey God, He is nice
