xD I mean honestly even from a serious standpoint the switch has a problem in every little and big aspect of it, from the display to the software to the hardware, mechanics, speakers, connection, ram, cpu, gpu, speakers, digitizer, dock, everything has a problem in that thing, andits quite disappointing coming from Nintendo

Hey man thank you so much for your video! I am definitely buying this as soon as I get $300. From what I gathered the cooling upgrade/mod is essential but once completed you can play a lot of games comfortably. I even saw a video of someone playing Fallout 4 on it at a decent frame rate and that was without the cooling upgrade. Im sold!

Probably not. Intel killed the Atom chip going forward. They just couldn't take on ARM. We'll see more ARM powered devices though, but they'll be Linux and Android based, not Windows. At least not in the near future.
Ryan Smith Quite a few misconceptions there. A successor wouldn't need to use Atom specifically, this is the family used in Surface so unlikely to be discontinued, Windows is available for ARM, and GPD are working on more wintel devices (at least the Pocket).
There will always be something new coming out, by 2018 we are going to have tons of new players hoping on this portable windows gaming, now that the tech is here, amd is coming out with some mobile gpus/cpus/apus so we will probably see those in these kind of devices hopefully soon
Microsoft recently showed off Windows 10 running on a Snapdragon 820 CPU, with fantastic performance, so I really have high hopes for that

It's awesome that it can run Steam natively! Will it be able to run games like Dark Souls 2, Street Fighter 5, any games that came out this past year? Morphus x300 missed out on being able to run/play Steam games.
I have a question regarding the GPD WIN,
What is the max storage for the SD Card, and what is the max storage for the Jump drive
It says max 128GB SD
And for that kind of form factor of a USB flash drive, max I have seen is 128GB
So I would say that is plenty if your on the go
I didn't care for the first 2 games and then it got to garrys mid and my heart exploded with excitement
I have some many ROMS and low spec games. I'm gonna start doing ma chores
they should make a new model with the L3 and R3 buttons nearer to the left and right analogue to make it easier to sprint in games for example

if this bugger can run some mods. It'll be one of the best handhelds that is still contemporary.
These types of PC's are all interesting, it's just the price for what you get which buzzkills.

350ish in the U.S. it's really pretty cheap for what it is. It's the price of a switch and one game. Since games are way cheaper on steam, that makes it a much better value.

I'm tempted to get this, but what looks strange & not so comfortable is the button layout. What can you say about them? Are the ABXY buttons smaller than on XBOX controllers? And how does it feel using the analog stick (it looks like they might to be too much to the middle to feel comfortable) & left & right triggers?

That would be a no but there is a fine point capacitive pen that I will be reviewing soon its $5 and it works on any tablet or smartphone, its pretty damn neat

This thing is so expensive though. Where I live it's 620 bucks plus another 40 shipped. Jesus. For that kind of money I could get a tablet with better performance, battery and screen real estate. Wondering if I should bite the bullet or wait it out for the Smach Z.

The UMPCs have returned... YES!!!!!! I can finally stop bringing my loptop with me just to play pc games on the go.
The potential is immense, now that those new kaby lake cpus are out for micro devices, cant wait to see what they can do, I have a tablet/laptop transforming hybrid that has that new cpu and it looks super promising stay tuned for that video its coming very soon, they prob cant fit it in just yet but when the time is right their next gpd win 2 will be any portable gaming killer

The Pyro Gamer and the screen was way too small so I had to strain my eyes.
I have never seen anyone try hearthstone on this device. Would love to hear your opinion on how that runs and feels with the sticks.

can someone please explain how playing games via Steam on this thing would work please? I'm basically a complete PC noob... do you have to have a normal desktop/laptop to pair this thing with or can you just straight up get Steam on this thing and play directly on it with nothing else? Other than wifi, im assuming, to download the games?

Kane TheOne you cant just straight up install it on the device you dont need to pair it or anything unless of course you want to pair it with your tv for big screen mode but no you dont need to pair dont reccoment it either
You just need to install steam from their website, and create an account. Then buy and install the games.

That you will have to use a USB Sim Adapter, yes the games that I show in my videos run without a connection

Yeah, its really sad :\ I do plan to find some kind of a speaker mode, audio quality that can match my LG G4
From the devices I have taken apart it seems like they never really dedicated any space to have good audio
Speakers need their own enclosure for the sound to have bass and not sound tinny
