- Harry cancels his first show in Chicago due to "band/crew illness". However, upon appearing on the second scheduled night two days later, he appears sick, tired, and having problems breathing. An oxygen mask was available to him for the first several concerts, which is quite unconventional for someone able to sing and dance - Chicago from 10/6/22 to 10/15/22.
Despite Harry's health, he continues to entertain millions across the world. Asthma is a very common condition and affects each person differently, and is typically very manageable.

I don't like when we as society relate professionalism to putting mental and physical needs in trade. This is not professionalism but exploitation. I'm sorry for him and every artist that feels like they need to put themselves in second place just to make a show keep going on. This only benefits big music corporations. He has such a great fan support system that I know they would understand.

Honestly even just a cold would be hard to deal with when you are exhausted from touring and you then have to sing and dance for everyone. He's a trooper. I got a cold this year and can't imagine doing any of this while sick.

The fact that even tho he wasn’t feeling well that night he wanted to continue to perform just because of us. He cares so much for us his fans and it’s so wholesome. He works really hard and he is definitely overworked and it’s incredible how he can still perform beautifully every night. I can’t imagine how tired he must be every night after the show. He truly deserves a break

Poor Harry I really hope he's fine because it's quite sad to see him struggling so much to breathe properly 😥 he tries so hard to put on great concerts for his fans and it must certainly frustrate him coughing or being out of breath on stage . I don't know if his tour is over soon but he looks quite tired and needs to rest.
Amazingly, he tours until next summer. He does have several weeks off around the holidays though. But he will be traveling all over the world over the next 9 months

I could imagine, because many concerts have been canceled due to Covid, as with many artists, that everything will now be made up for. Maybe because of the contracts, maybe because of the long time without performances. I think he's one of those people who definitely doesn't want to disappoint his fans. He already had a bad conscience because he had to cancel the concert because of the flu. The time felt a bit short for me too. Normally you have to cure it for a longer time. I really hope for him that he has recovered well.

I am so proud of Harry for being able to carry on the concerts. He is a true professional not wanting to let his fans down, but at the same time he needs to take extra care of his health. I feel so sorry for him he must have felt dreadful. Bless him, he has all my love and respect. X

This was my show and I haven't seen him since 1D days so I didn't notice anything different. He def gives 110% to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves. Best night of my life but def don't want him to kill himself for everyone else 😭

i can kind of confirm he was sick before, i went on austin n6 just before he cancelled his first show in chicago residency. he seemed fine, looked and sounded amazing when i was there, but my friend who worked at the austin arena told me he coughing a lot during sound check and in the show throughout. she was working at the arena and saw 5 out of 6 nights. he was apparently a bit slower during the first few days and not over exerting himself but he gave it his all at the last austin show. so if he was sick in austin and spent the rest of his energy on night 6 he definitely needed time to rest up, hence he postponed chicago n1. maybe they said it was band/crew illness to not worry us? honestly i just hope he takes care of himself and takes some time off soon to rest since this tour and all of his other projects are starting to take a toll. treat yourself with kindness H 💕

A very poor show. The audience were singing or trying to. He has severe asthma putting his life at risk. Post would be different if & would read along the lines of his passing. He stupidly tried to wing it. Clear that he also had tachycardia. Sweating racing pulse I'm sure and sheer panic. This concert should have been cancelled. Folks don't pay good money in these times to hear others screaming on their phone. He clearly needs to rest & regroup to establish what an awful performance he had done & he should never have been on stage. Fans paid money to hear other fans screaming & so called singing. A cluster f""ck at that. In essence u tube displays greed & not need in an understated underlying illness that kills you. Read up on Asthma & how it effects health. I know I have it & had to endure 2 999 calls as technically I pushed myself too hard. Emergency inhaler helped a bit plus my normal.kx of inhaler that I take up to 3 times per day. HS watch ur own pt concert & have a good long think about what u see.. Life v Death could have been on the cards. One life one chance. It is not a dress rehearsal with life. Again re u tube vt a very poor weak performance not a clear cut sound from voice

i think he was great on harryween. and I say i think because I couldnt even focus I almost passed out like 5 times just watching him. that man literally takes my breath away. anyway the only time he was coughing like a lot was during loml. but right after he sung hopelessly devoted to you and he slayed that.

it’s said that oct 8th was a protest day for mistreatment of artists (so many artists under Sony cancelled that day too) and H may have been instructed to say that it was him who got sick to take some of the heat off the label

As someone who has had my lungs compromised by an over active immune response, I can attest that despite normal blood oxygen levels you can feel oxygen deprived and extremely tired. I didn’t see much of the first concert online but I noticed him feeling tired in the other concerts… seemingly not interacting as much with what was thrown at him, etc. During the 2nd one shown, I was actually worried and thought he needed a break from the tour.
I have no doubt he was feeling it. Unfortunately he has these ups and downs with his shows, so you can tell when he’s tired and when he’s not.
Just adds to the legend! Harry is an animal! A force of nature!

I truly know how asthma effects you. It is frightening. Tightness in chest, coughing & in desperate need of trying to get air. Suffocating at same time.. He must have been completely wiped out & let the audience sing. He tried to battle on but really should thrown in the towel. The performance crashed & burned. He required o2 & should have used inhaler. Yes a trouper in a way but he was putting his life at risk Asthma can kill you. Shortness of breath, gasping & tachycardia then your heart gives out. All that said he tried to do his best but in process this post would be to the late great HS. Hopes he stays well & recognises that at times enough is enough. There is no joy from this performance so I ask why not call it a day. Rest & revisit on how he was feeling

After recently losing Leslie Jordan following a couple of weeks of shortness of breath, which he'd planned to get checked out the following week when he had that fatal accident...I just feel like we just can't afford to keep losing the most unique, beloved people due to deadlines or neglect of symptoms. It's just not worth it push through sometimes. People will understand, and the ones who don't just won't- life is always that way, and there will always be those people we have to ignore. Look after your health, everyone. We are still in a pandemic, after all.

I’m actually pretty worried for him when he comes to Mexico City. It’s one of (referring to altitude) the highest cities in the world. People doing a bit of extra effort in whatever you imagine, drop fainting because of the lack of oxygen. When Michael Jackson came here he also needed an oxygen tank. I think Elton John and the U2 guys as well. Anyway, this is not the first time in Mexico City and now he’s healthier than when he came with 1D. Poor Harry, he was sooo skinny and I bet they didn’t get a more effective treatment. Just enough to keep him going

No one should have to preform in this condition! Im glad he made it through though. I keep seeing these videos of people making videos and performing totally ill. But I understand that in this case he had already cancelled the show so he didn’t want to upset the fans. But I do feel like he should have taken a bit more time off because he definitely was not well. This definitely seems to be an ongoing issue with him. He doesn’t take the time he needs to recover. I am so glad that he postponed his LA shows do to the flu because no one wants to see someone that sick on stage singing no matter who it is.
I believe cancelling shows (and rescheduling) are very difficult to do because there are so many factors. So I’m sure Harry does his best to push through the 1-1/2 hour show if he can.

Absolutely. I hope he didn't take the boosters or the jab because we know it's killing young men under the age of 30. He's already got asthma so he doesn't need to keep messing with his health. Thankfully the truth is finally coming out about the boosters and jabs for people under 70.

Sony made a statement saying it wasn't him but after night one of Chicago everyone believes it was him including myself because I was there then I was at LA night one and he had so much energy. huge difference

With the band/crew also having illness and air breathing struggles it looks more like a covid issue. Same with using oxygen rather than just inhalers as is typical. Long covid easily develops from pushing through with covid so I hope this is not going to be the case here.
