you undoubtedly have one of the most entertaining watchchannels out there. many thanks from germany and keep it coming...
Your videos always make my day. They are funny and informative at the same time. Keep it up!!😍
This comment made my day
Take that dial and bezel and put them on a more traditionally sized diver and you’d be set. That dial is stellar
so... the black bay steel bezel?
My thoughts exactly. In fact, I don't mind that moving case that locks down the bezel, gives it a look that's both different and toolish at the same time, but I wonder if it couldn't have been made a little smaller. Or they could have at least made the lugs a little shorter, it looks like they have the room. And the strap doesn't look like it can be replaced, unless Tudor makes a rubber one that's designed to go on this watch.
Such a cool looking watch but it’s a big old slab of steel for sure. Between this and the North Flag, the Tudor of a few years ago definitely seemed up for experimenting a bit more.
Awesome show MWC!
The Cherry Coke Tudor 😂 They are not allowed to call it red
The Tudor SKX gotta love it!
It’s kinda cool lol. Reminds me in a way of another forgotten oddball Tudor I own-the fastrider black shield chrono ceramic. I love today’s Tudor but also love the fact that watch is so NOT today’s Tudor if that makes any sense! Great video!
Great content, thank you. The watch looks interesting. Talking about the date complication, I found it very useful. For me it makes a difference between buying or not buying a watch.
The 60 click bezel also ensures that it perfectly lines up with the locking mechanism so it is not useless. Had this watch on wrist in two different shops, love how it looks but hate the lack of bracelet….
Thank you for this review. You sir have a great style in presenting!
Definite tool vibes and a professional looking piece of kit 👌
Excellent video Russell me old china plate !
Wooow Russel, a video rn?! My cup of tea. Tudor BB394life! But I got a Tissot Gentleman Si anyway lol
I bought one last year. It is one of my favorite watches. It has an industrial quality I love.
It’s just too big for anyone under like…. 19cm wrist size. The lug to lug distance is wild.
great review of a highly underated tudor , imo in the future a collectors peice
I tried it when it came out. My wrist was just too small. Have the BB Pro instead.
Love it... as an owner of a Glamour Double Date.. And an old " smiley " Black bay.. i would also like a Grand Tour.. unusual and unpopular tudors rule...cheers Russ
Was hoping for a blue 39mm pelagos or a 39mm lhd. Damn and blast 😂
Needs a quick change button for the Gucci suede band like the Longines GMT Zulu has for its bracelet. Then you could swap out a rubber strap for when you're in the sea wotah.
Also, this dial would look better with arrow hands and some color on the tip of seconds and on the bezel triangle at 12 oclock to give it some punchy. Kind of Seiko sterile for $4k watch.
Very cool. I also like the Tudor Black Bay Heritage (79730 not even sure this is the correct name) all steel watch. Thanks for sharing!
One more time when I agree more with the wife then the Mad Watch Collector. Lets get the wife her own channel.
I agree with the wife most of the time, too. I watch this channel because I know almost every time for sure if he likes a watch I won't, and if he hates it I'll love it! Seriously tho love this channel, the matters of taste and opinion are all subjective after all.
I love vintage looking dive watches and this is no exception.
The lug to lug is what killed it. Once you try it on - you know it will not work. Great separate parts to the watch but it’s not wearable.
I want one.. I'd want a full metal bracelet rather than the rubber/suede one and the lug to lug is a little long but it'd fit on my wrist.. I love the all steel look.
Shot my wad years ago on the BB58. Saw this, liked it and bought the Seiko SPB185.
...a commendable effort to advertise a mishap by tudor 😂😂😂...
Before I got the Panda I looked at this after seeing a review, discounted it then, I really like it now, this hobby, I need to pinch myself
How have i never seen this one before?!?!
I nearly got this years ago, but the lug to lug eventually put me off. I liked the quirkiness of it. Something different.
When thus was released, I thought "what the * is this about"?. Now as you pointed out, if there was a rubber deployment on there and just a few mm less Lug to Lug, it quite possibly may get a bit more love. The new Coke GMT is just OK, however, if the supposedly red part of the bezel was actually a decent red, I may have considered it. More Jubilee options are a winner and its interesting the point you made about finally a model that actually feels like a rolex when using it. I feel this is becoming more common place as they continue to embrace the new Metas quality testing. Great vid my friend....
Interesting watch! Don't know if I'd wear one, but it IS interesting.
Badass looking watch
The 12-hour bezel is much more intuitive to use than a 24-hr bezel, when you think about it. It's about the only thing I like about this watch, and I own several Tudors, vintage and new.
I love it. I wonder what Kurt would make of the Bezel….
Like it. Luckily I have a big wrist so will have to try one.
Please make a video just showing a photo of all reviewed watches and what the wife said. She has the most brilliant insight !
I think I love this than normal Blackbie
That crown guard definitely reminds me of a Willard!!
This guy gives off Benny Hill vibes....................Brilliant !! 😎👍
Well I like it, other than the modern Thor's hammer hour hand. Slim sloping stainless bezel and funky unique half bracelet half strap (no watches until Buxton?). I'm a rare snorkeller at best so my GShock is for the beach n sea not my "Divers"
Holy moly that bq watches have some bargains.
I think the P01 is really cool
I've wanted a black bay for a while, I'm considering getting the new one. I figure it will last me until I'm an old man!
As a tool watch what is that bezel for ? How is is used as a diver ? confused ? All it does is tell the time ?
I love it..would put a nato on it
This watch looks very good
I love how unusually it looks
How much are these ?
Wow, that lug length giving Nomos a run for its money
Hahahahahaha Brilliant!! Thanks Mister Mad!
Bought mine just before xmas and got a bargain. All stickered and box fresh for £2600 from eBay. I ignored this one for years too, but my partner liked it and encouraged me to try it on. It instantly felt right, so i searched online for one. I'm fortunate to have a 7.5" wrist so i can just about get away with it 😂
Just here for WTWS. Did not disappoint.
It will make a good knuckle duster...only in self-defense situations of course.😁
I'm not sure it was ever intended to be a diver. They started with a Tudor Submariner for legibility and got the water resistance as a bonus. I suspect it was supposed to be a watch officers deck watch.
Maybe the first tudor that is actually interesting.
Never been a fan of black bay other than the ceramic and maybe the 925 I'm more of a pelagos guy but I do like the non standard bezel - suede on a diver WTF .
My dream to mod an SSK GMT to be a better/gmt version of the P01
You're right. Almost a great watch. Just needs to be 1.5-2mm shorter at each end.
Google Phil Toledano's Bastardo P01. What a cool piece. Steampunk.
I kind of like it
Yep, there's seriously cool stuff here, but I have to side with the wife here (yours, of course, not mine): the strap choice is, to put it mildly, baffling - if I wanted something other than a proper bracelet, I could've done a better job on my own. The rest? As I said, *seriously* cool, aside from the ludicrous lug-to-lug measurement. Good review.
I take it BQ watches can't sell this, I can see why 🤣. Enjoyable video 👍
I go in the safe, I pull out the drawers, I choose the watches pal
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Sorry, didn't mean to infer you were forced to review it, it's just been such an unpopular watch, I suspect Tudor made one batch and it is only in the catalogue, because they haven't sold them all yet!
Seems Mrs MWC is correct again.......
Way too big, lug to lug is crazy and the strap is wrong. Not to mention that the case thickness is overdone. The bezel is kinda cool but it should have a dive bezel and a friction fit. I think I'll pass on this one.
Can I ask what watch are you wearing in the video please?
You gotta guess!!!!!
@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR looks like a CW super compressor but I'm no watch expert!
So it launched just as Seiko killed the SKX. So Marc at Islander and “Someone” at Tudor had the same 💡 😂
If I had a 7.5in wrist I’d rock basically any watch on earth
There’s a reason why some prototypes don’t make it to production 🤦🏻♂️ it’s because they’re crap 💩👎🏼
Those big honking lugs. Lots to carry around that does not help with time keeping.
I think that all watch related youtubers have small wrists...42 is not a large watch...This watch Is beautifull , original etc.
If only forearm watches were a thing!
"Why is there a fancy swedey strap?"
-- That is a very good question.
"Way too much metal."
-- That is a fact.
"Dog ugly."
-- Now wait a minute!
I don't get it. People defend wearing dive watches every day as it's common knowledge almost nobody goes diving so it's a gimmick anyway, and yet some complain about suede straps on a dive watch.
It’s the fact this was designed and built first of all for the US navy man. Fine, put your divers on a crocodile strap for all I care but for the brand to release the tooliest diver in their catalogue with a calf leather outer material just isn’t right.
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR nah I'm not into divers, I don't get why I would wear it.
I like using this bezel as a poor man's GMT. it's easy to track two time zones with this bezel.
Looks like an absolute beaut but as you said too big 😢😢
good
Because no actually goes diving with them 😂
Fun + ugly = Tudor fugly! I love this watch. Tudor rarely takes such design risks and when they do the watches look great but are generally under appreciated.
I wouldn’t pay $900 for that monster
This review is invalid without Kurt Santana's input via the World Bezelling Federation....
I’ve tried this watch so many times, and it doesn’t stay on the wrist more than 2 seconds. Even on a 7” wrist, it just looks wrong. Really sad because it’s really an awesome watch.
Beautiful - terrible lug to lug! :(
Bought mine recently, and I love it. It's a great, unique watch.
SUPERB!
I can’t say I’m a big fan of this… the history behind it is interesting, but can’t say the looks are there for me
Who is waiting for moonphase
😊
ALWAYS entertaining 😊👏👍👌🤘✌🖖🤙🍻
I’m not a fan of this one tbh. Looks like an old watch that’s been found in a loft somewhere. 😂
its a banger what’s up watch nerds if you don’t like it buy a bb 58 it still my favourite dear to like it !
The Tudor SKX on a suede strap. Desk divers should NEVER come on a leather strap - dishwater will the strap!
BQ are having a laugh with the price of that monstrosity. You might catch them a sucker though!!
tudorKX... hmmm not bad hehehe
❤
Lug-to-lug is probably comparable to a 38mm nomos
No strap variation 😢
This is a quirky cool watch. But on that strap, it makes no sense…
Looks like a Seiko srpe lol
Swiss Watch with Seiko SKX vibes, no thank you.
anyone ever pops it on a nato ?
BB p O s 1
It's a MONG WATCH!! 🤣 I kinda like the P01. Very unique.
Could always take it off and hit someone over the head with it - self defense device. Tudor fanboy - no way I could wear it - but love the effort. Get it down to 49mm L2L and a solid all rubber strap and it’s a winner.
Bugger lugs
