He's said it himself before: he considers himself so "good" at fighting games that he should never, ever have to try to win against another party. He (in his own "logic") should never need to invest any effort into a game but still easily dominate against whoever his opponent is. That's why he uses spam characters, btw...because he's too lazy and arrogant to believe he needs to practice high level setups and combos. Granted, he's shown in the past that he CAN do some decent combos if he actually practices, and that makes him better than the average online player. The problem is, his ego is so fragile that if he invests that much time, energy, emotion and effort into it, then it hurts even MORE if he loses. Thus, the only thing he can do to protect his feelings is to learn the laziest, most annoying way to play (typically spam) and rely on that.
Yeah, some peoples ego can't accept that they are not the plot armor protagonist of this world lol.
