This is 2004 to 2006 Quest LCD replacement with our Tanin Auto Electronix LCD here. So this is the common problem you won't be able to see anything in there. T10 torx. Pop the front lens off. Needles you can move them clockwise, but you want them to go all the way down until they stop, mark this position where they are right now because that's where you're going to have to put them when you put them back on. Just twist them off. The same thing with the back snap it in half. Place the flathead and gently pry up, remove that assembly. This portion you see these two tabs here pop straight out of here. Same thing just gently pop this the black tabs this falls off. You can throw this away you don't need it. Small flathead, gently pop this plastic very gently these break often. Pop the LCD up pull it out of the board. To install there is film on this side make sure to peel that off when you install it. Pop it under the tabs under the left if you're right-handed. If you're left-handed it might be easier to pop it in the tabs on the right and then pop it in over here. You're going to have to pop the plastic white plastic back up over the LCD glass. Just on this side and then grasp the plastic here the hard plastic and gently push it in equally. This is the most important part you don't want to bend this ribbon or flatten it. It needs to have a loop otherwise it might not work or break the trace inside the ribbon so start this in there are two tabs on the left side, start the board in these tabs and then push this plastic under the gauge face just like that and then snap it into these tabs and you're done. Test it just to make sure and good to go. Obviously, put it back together opposite of removal and disassembly. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Great video! My daughter's quest is doing this and I had no idea where to start. Googled the problem and found a forum thread that mentioned another part. I then searched for a youtube video on how to change that part, and stumbled across this video. This is what I need. Short, simple and sweet. And thanks for the heads up on parts I know I would have destroyed if you hadn't mentioned them. You're a life saver.
Great to hear!
I ordered the replacement LCD display from you guys a week ago last Friday. Got it two days later and installed it. Followed the video here for installation and now, it works like a charm. Thanks for uploading this for car novices like myself. I highly recommend their website to order the part and this video to install it properly.
Quick update (7/20/2021)- LCD is still running strong!
Thanks! I bought the part from you guys from eBay and installed it. Now my wife has a working display again.
Just did this, whole job took about 10 minutes, this was great!
Great to hear!
Thank you so much for this video. I had to do this at 12am for my girlfriends Quest. Thank you so much.
You're very welcome!
OK ... Thank You - for a sane viewing video (where it doesn't take 5 minutes to pull a screw out or show how to move one piece of the thing 2 inches, or the whole " hi my name is Bob I have a shop in BF Arizona and I'm going to show you blah blah blah blah blah blah blah ..." and then 5 min later gets to the actual video) ... No, this guy is quick, efficient, and shows you how it's done - bing bang boom.
I ordered the part on eBay and got it all put back together - the wife's happy, so we're all good!😉
Thank you. We like things straight and to the point!
THANK YOU!!! About 20 minutes watching the video over and over and about 10 minutes doing the work...job done.
Thanks so much for the feedback, we're happy to hear it worked out for you!!
This works like a charm! Thanks...I replaced my wife's odometer display and ribbon today (in the snow). Took about 10 minutes.
Thanks so much! This is great! Here is the jock: I called De Cormier Nissan (in Manchester Connecticut) they told me the part is about $800 and labor $240 fo the total of $1000+ for what you just show in less than 5 minutes)
i bought the part and felt like there is no way i could do this. But this video helped out alot! saved me well over $400 and it worked on the first shot. Also I did buy from Tanin Auto those parts are rock solid.
Thank you for your feedback!
I followed your instructions and the LCD works now!!! Thanks a million!!!
Thanks so much. Thanks to your video, I fixed it myself
Can't thank you enough! Just for 30 bucks I saved a ton of money! And restored my wife's faith in me. LOL!
Haha! That is what we love to hear! Thanks for choosing Tanin Auto Electronix and please let us know if we can ever be of assistance in the future.
Thank you very much! I bought parts from you. Fast S/H work very well. Install a little nervous but done well. Thank you for your video

No problem 👍
worked like a charm.
Thanks for the vídeo it was very useful
Success. The only thing different was I had to use a T-15 for the two screws in the back.
thank you it's a nice video
Wow, so wonderful. Thank You so much for your help with this video. God Bless You........
Your welcome, we are glad to know that it was helpful to you.
Man, screw that. I purchased the whole cluster. 😂
You can do that, but it's going to have the same issue at some point.
Hypothetical question... What would the solution be if that white/beige easily breakable plastic were to break?
If you need any assistance, please contact our customer service department, we would be happy to help!

I just installed the hybond version in my 2005 Nissan Quest and it's a great I can finally see my mileage and fuel again except now the airbag light is flashing
I also replaced the sonar speaker at the same time but neither of those seem related to the flashing airbag light I can't seem to find much online about it
Any advice or suggestions would be extremely appreciated thank you
Hello!
We would need to have the cluster in front of us to diagnose any issues. Feel free to send it in!

Awesome business, thank you for sharing.
How do you test the cluster like that? On the small plug on the back of that board which pins do you hook up to?

Watch out when removing the black cover (the one that can be thrown away), the beige plastic can break easily at this step as well
Regards, is it possible to change the factory radio for a double din after market radio in a 2005 nissan quest? Thank you.
Hey Victor! Yes, you can, but unfortunately that is not a service we provide.
Hey I have a question how do you put the needles back on I’m really strugling
Hey Alan!
If you're not confident in your ability to reinstall the needles, we highly recommend sending the cluster in to us so we can take care of it for you. Its not really ideal to try and explain how to handle delicate parts like this via email or a phone call. It takes years of experience to master the repair of these items, I would hate to try and assist you and cause you to break something fragile.

@@TaninAutoElectronix sir do you have Odometer LCD Display for Hyundai i20 2011?
Hi there, is all the data(Kilometres) will stay with the new device one? i mean once we install the new one purchased from you guys and install it back, is the data of the mileage, etc will stay as is with the new device installation? And how much is the price of the new device? i live here in Canada, province of Alberta city of edmonton, is there any shipping cost? How many days it take to get here? Thanks.
+Mushir Joseph This is simply a piece of glass. It is impossible for it to store any data. Shipping is calculated when you purchase the item on our website.
You forgot to put it back the black bezel for the display
Ok, but first I need to know how to get that thing out of the dash.

this whole time I thought I needed a new LCD AND and a light. The meter's lights would randomly turn off and light tap would turn it back on. Ordered your part and hopefully I don't mess it up haha
Keep us posted! Watching the video and taking your time, it should be smooth to install.
When changing this does it show true mileage with new display??
Yes it does!
I need complete information what is the price and if you send to the paso texas

Tanin Auto Electronix I should but it's been a while honestly about a month but I just got around to doing it. I'll check my email.

How do you get the cluster out of the dash?
+Joe Drager Pull the plastic cover off of the top of the cluster and remove the visible screws.
So, I bought the bonded part, the flex cable looks somehwat different, and doesn,t flex the same, how do I install this part into connector, it does NOT work the same as shown, need a video showing how to install the part that cost more!
same exact process
yes, but it will not bend as easily, and has no tab like the other?
the tab is for the cheaper display to give it rigidity since the ribbon is thinner. Use both hands to insert the ribbon and a thin flat tool instead of the tab to guide the ribbon into the housing. We can make a video, but it won't be until next week.
It sticks straight out after being plugged in and will not fit back into plastic housing?
I have this all apart need to have it done by Saturday, can I send a picture or can you send a picture?
tnx just save 600 dlls from dealer....tnx a ton

I replaced my LCD and now I'm not seeing the bars for the fuel...
Sorry to hear you're still having issues! If you haven't already, you can double check that the ribbon was seated properly and that it didn't get bent/folded when placing the circuit board back into the plastic housing.
Past that, we can't further troubleshoot the cluster without having it here, but you can send it in for our techs to diagnose & repair.

why dont the mileage show up?
The mileage doesn't show up because it is a faulty design. The mileage shows up after we replace the LCD at 3:49
+Tanin Auto Electronix i put new lcd in n still no mileage so I don't know what you talking bout
+Da Reepa Then there is another problem with your speedometer unrelated to the LCD.
i replace my lcd screen i buy from you guy he still not working
Then your problem is not related to the LCD
