It looks like Lanny wants to rest and idle for a bit of longer time.
Don't let the sprinkler water damage your solar panels (they leave a hard stains on the glass),clean them as soon as you can.
You need to find Lenny a good Mechanic. Have you changed the air filter? That could cause performance issues. A radiator flush could be helpful. It could be lots of little issues, the intake change could be part of it.
Dang sprinkler!Oh noooo. Poor Lenny. Hope you get him fixed without too much trouble after all.😢
If you happen to coming through South Dakota down I 29 it be great to have a meet and greet at Sisseton. 🙂
Cool perspective on the drive portion. 😎
truck stops with repair shops will have any thing you need
Caterpillar Filter 1R-0751
Diesel is $4.69 here in San Diego.
Oh no. Lenny evidently has a tummy bug. 😢
Sure seems like it, poor guy!
Off topic but I really like the Gopro cam to the left of you while you're driving! Also, DONT PARK NEXT TO SPRINKLERS!!!!
Coolant overflowed at the end? got too hot? Hope that tuned out not to be a problem
Haha thanks! I wanted to try the perspective out, and it's not my overall favorite, but I like the perspective that it offers, and it gives me easy control over the camera without taking my eyes off the road!
possible you got some bad diesel when you filled up somewhere. a little trash or water or whatever in it, will do some crazy stuff to your fuel system whether it is gas or diesel.
Good morning guys ! Well I’m a wanna be mechanic/ not even close 😂 but I was wondering if the air flow canister you moved might have any part in this 🤷🏻♂️
You know, I've wondered about that but it sounds like it really SHOULDN'T have a negative effect. It doesn't hurt anywhere else. Then again, much thinner air requires much more flow and maybe that's causing some recirculation of the warmer engine air... I was just thinking out loud on the video a few hours ago about this, funny enough!
Coolant leaking, overheating, poor performance....cracked cylinder head?
At the very least, have a compression test done when you get Lenny home and take it from there.
Personally I wouldn't consider Florida as a permanent wintering location unless there was family in the region I wanted to be close to for a few months. The winter in Arizona then summer in any of the Minnesota-Pacific coast states seems to be the main choice here in Phoenix, with Montana being the most prevalent around me by license plates. My Porsche mechanic friend told me the 1st thing I needed to buy when we bought the 2006 Ford E450 based Class C was to buy the complete factory authorized service & repair manual which I did, both printed and DVD verions. Does Bluebird offer either or at least contracted that out to a third party? You've probably already gotten Lenny into a service center that deals with your engine brand. Wouldn't hurt while you're there (or reasonably ASAP) to procure spares of all the belts and filters, etc that might be near impossible to obtain without being in larger metropolis. Maybe carefully limp along to Michigan and with staying place for awhile advertise for school bus mechanic that's sidelined while school system is on summer break. Sorry Lenny's not feeling well. Take care and roll with the punches.
I've been looking for a really good manual on our bus, though BB actually creates a separate one that they don't seem to release to the public for mechanics. I'm on the hunt though. These buses may have a Cummins or a CAT, so there's that specific engine manual, along with how they configured the cooling system and the rest. That's a lot of fun! We'll be swinging by a shop at some point to at least pick up a belt or two, and maybe see about an honest mechanic. That's about as easy to come by as an honest lawyer, it seems.
Oops.....
