Nightmare of Decay also worth a mention, even though it's an fps game, it has survival horror formula

Yeah, we actually originally had Nightmare of Decay (and a few other first person games) on the list...but we ended up dropping them in favor of sticking to just 3rd person perspective. But we may revisit in the future!

Pretty good list, a lot of the games I have not heard of. Some additional horror modern-retro games are World of Horror and Tormented souls 2 (hopefully it comes out sooner than later). Hmmm would the upcoming Beyond shadowgate also count, or no?

World of Horror has a great retro visual aesthetic! But the focus on this video was the more traditional 3rd person "survival horror" style games.
Tormented Souls 2 would have made this list if it had been available when the video was created!

@@GaryRetroGamer Ah my bad, perhaps you can do a 2d horror games list as an idea? And do you consider Shadowgate/Beyond shadowgate to be horror games or point and click games that have some elements of horror in them?
Some upcoming horror games I'm looking forward to are: My Work is not Yet done, Echoes of the living, Beyond shadowgate, a hopeful/possible remake of Resident evil CVX, and Tormented souls 2.
