- Witcher School of The Cat Game Would Be AWESOME. A New Witcher series about the witcher schools and what a witcher game or series about each of the schools could look like. We've other schools' witchers in the the witcher 3 and witcher books, but what about a full game on them? This video covers the school of the cat which could include stealth gameplay and other locations in the witcher like nilfgaard.

The Witcher is a fantasy action role-playing game series developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt. It is based on the book series of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, acting as non-canonical sequels to the story of the books.
The main series began in 2007 with the release of The Witcher, and concluded with 2015's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. As of 2022, the series has three main standalone games, two expansion packs and seven spin-off games. The series is critically acclaimed and commercially successful, selling over 75 million units by March 2023.
In March 2022, a fourth installment of the franchise was announced to be in early development[1] and is planned as the start of a new trilogy for the series.[2] In October 2022, a remake of The Witcher was announced. Fool's Theory will mainly develop the game with full creative supervision from The Witcher series staff and CD Projekt Red.[3] Another game will also be developed by The Molasses Flood and created with support from CDPR.
The series has spawned a series of graphic novels published by Dark Horse Comics.
The series revolves around Geralt of Rivia, a skilled monster hunter, and his adventures in a fantasy world of magic, political intrigue, and dangerous creatures. The gameplay mainly focuses on exploration, combat, and decision-making as the player navigates Geralt in the game world, completing quests, and fighting enemies. The games are represented in a third-person view perspective in a partially open world environment. Potions are consumable items that Geralt can use to temporarily enhance his abilities. Players can choose which skills to invest in based on their preferred playstyle and customize Geralt's skills to their liking. In addition to potions and abilities, the game also includes equipment upgrades such as weapons and armor that can further enhance Geralt's abilities. Crafting and upgrading gear is another important aspect of the game where players must gather resources and work with crafters to create the gear that best suits Geralt's needs.

I NEED this, Cat School is my favorite school and the more I learn about them the more I love em.

It's also interesting to think about the animalistic themes of the chosen animal.
The idea of the wolf pack is central in the witcher 3 because it is connected to the school of the wolf. The concept of "we are stronger together than we are alone".
You could go the other way with the school of the cat because they are more solitary creatures. Thematically it could show why they are so different to the other schools, why they turned into assasins. As you said in the video it also opens up different gameplay mechanics with more parkour for example.
What they need to do George, is either a Witcher game where we start off during the first era of Witchers. You know how it all started, to see how the world was before Witchers & building upon that. Or they go & we play has a young Vesemir, possibly maybe as Ciri after the ending of the Witcher 3.
But who knows if they do end up going with the School of the Lynx then as you said they put the morality system there. Ultimately it really comes down to either them making another Witcher Protagonist that's already established or we go down the true RPG route and we end up making our own Custom Witcher character. Personally i would love the idea of a game with Vesemir but the problem is the damage Vesemir's legacy with the movie Netflix did....

Really good idea. You could also make videos about diffrent schools. Like bear not only front approach but also witcher duel mechanic because it is said that they do not like each other company on the path
I think the viper school may have been a mistake in the ways they were represented in the games because for me in TW1 and TW2, that is how I imagined cat witches being, but they made the viper witchers take that role in a way.
If a stealth Witcher game does come out I will be the happiest person ever lol I love Witcher and assassin creed but like merge them together and like best game ever imo lol

I think it would be cool if their was an animated series about the School of the Cat.
It could be set in the Witchers prime and it would focus on a younger witcher. He's more optimistic and trying to some good but the reputation of the school makes it hard. While hunting monsters he learns the dark truth about the school. Many Cat witchers are encouraged to become hired assassins for different rulers.
Not sure how it would end but i know that he would confront the witchers. A title for it could be The Witcher: Legacy of the Cat.
Or since it's the school of the Cat how about a full female Witcher once.
@@nbmoleminer5051 honestly you could switch out a male for a female. Plus you could add some other unique ideas like how do people react to a female witcher.
You can play as the Assassin that geralt killed and what led up to that event from happening
So first of all Cosmetics. The Cat school gear from Witcher 3 is my favourite by far so id love to see some beautiful armor.
Stealth games like Dishonored or deus ex offer a variety of different options that are locked behind skills, that could easily be adapted to a cat witcher game.
Upgradeable signs to melt locks, give an npc a simple command with axii, this would also be a good place for signs that havent been used in Witcher 3 yet.
Somne from the books could be used to put enemies to sleep. Supirre from Warrit, a witcher card from gwent, could be used to amplify sound or maybe even reduce it.
A variety of bomb, oils, potions could all be crafted with some kind of alchemy build.
About the combat system and how you could fight a monster in this game, idk.
While the source offers pretty much everything that you would need for mechanics, the challenge would be to find the right balance between rpg and stealth game.
While the Witcher is a pure RPG, where most of the fans are from, the other end of the spectrum would be something like Dishonored 2.
If you would lean just a bit into stealth and create a combat system similar to witcher 3, you basically have The witchers take on Assassins creed.
If you lean a lot into it, you risk losing a part of the playerbase because its to different from the original series.
personally i'd really love this, stealth games like dishonored are much fun and a refreshing take on the series.
Well, I saw one comment saying that changing the timeline is like changing universe. And I find that a very interesting point of view.
However, I would see a Cat school journey at the beginning of the said school: the character is one of the "firsts schools" and then, through a guided line of bad behaviors, assassinations etc... the character is led to leave his school.
At the near end of the game, the witcher creates the Cat school but who knows what will happen next after this: multiple ending can make this quite interesting. He can well... survive and teach his pupils, being assassinated by some noble you served or tried to kill and, why not, being brutally murdered by one of his former school companions.
And the game would add, like George suggested, modified signs and mechanics for assassinations, thieving and scouting places.
Playing as other witchers, yes! Witcher 2 did a lot of “playing as other characters” - one of those was playing as a viper witcher, meeting Letho and optionally fighting geralt - that was quite memorable for me. They tried something similar in witcher 3 in the keira metz quest to avallach’s hiding place in velen. But the witcher 2 with its more awful controls still worked better at setting the atmosphere and agenda to make you feel like an assassin. I can see this work.
Not sure how well the game holds up going far away from geralt’s timeline. The mix of myth and history in the lore is quite specific to a time and place. Changing either time or place makes this a different universe, it seems to me. Thats why i dont know about witcher origin stories. They are fun as discoveries of historical facts about witchers, not sure if its as fun to play as witcher george. Maybe a viper school chasing the hunt, a la Letho and geralt in witcher 2..?
What if they do something totally different: School of the Dragon, maybe the last remaining witcher of one of the school learns how to be a dragon whisperer or something maybe focus more on magic as the school of the cat will stealth could be interesting just saying😅

My small theory is that this lynx medalion could mean like 3 differnet things:
1.Pre-schools witchers. We dont know how medalions of the first witchers looked. We also know from next-gen quest in Velen that early Wolf witchers made themselves their own medalion (still with wolf, but different shape). So maybe first witchers could choose what they wanted as a medalion. Lynx - predator is pretty good choice for witcher.
2. Renegade witcher, maybe from cat school (Lynx is cat). So a witcher that wasn't psychopath like most cat witchers, who had a strong moral compass and hated his school. To show his independence he created his own medalion (also cat school is known for its behaviors, so he did it to avoid problems)
3. Future witcher school, created after current setting.
So first option is game about first witchers, taking place in the past. Second is about renegade witcher in current times. Third is future witcher. Also, snow suggest some cold areas, so maybe Kovir and Poviss, or some mountains (maybe Mahakam, Nazair or Tir-Tochair).
I think first option is most interesting. Just think about it: no witcher school gear, so we would try to develop some godlike armors and weapon instead by working with dwarfs/elves/some genius blacksmith. Not too much information about fighting mosters (witchers just started travelling), and many now extinct creatures. We would have to learn everything. We wouldn't be locked into some modern school-tactics. We would be free to experiment without breaking immersion (bear-school tank build on cat witcher seems a bit stupid for example).
Hey George, i have an idea for a video and idk how to text so im just doing it here.
While Playing yesterday i paid some attention to how geralt actually uses his signs, how he forms his fingers and how much they resemble the actual graphic of the sign.
When using igni firestream I've noticed that hes using his index finger and thumb to something that could resemble the igni graphic.
I wonder if that is the case for all the signs. I looked at Quen but i didnt skill the alternate quen yet so i couldnt see much there sadly.
